  • What's the best speed worm for bass fishing? It's the Thumper Pro and Thumper Pro Jr. from CPF Lures. The Thumper Pro at 7.5" long is available in standard Pro Formula plastic and FLOATING plastic. That's right! It'll float a 5/0 hook. Whether you're wanting to slow-roll as speed worm under the water, or burn it over the top of scattered weeds, CPF Lures has a speed worm made just for you. It's also now available in a 5.5" version known as the Thumper Jr.
In this video, I'll show how to rig a speed worm and how to use a speed worm for both slow-rolling and top water applications. And unlike other brands, these tails won't cast off.
You can find the Thumper Speed Worms, NINEX no fade braid, and Burnt Tungsten featured in this video at cpflures.com.
    Thank for watching!

Excellent speed worms. The quality and durability is obvious when you hold one. In addition to the braid performing well, the black color looks awesome.

Chuck, Ran across the video from 3 years ago , you showing how over hand casting. Oddly enough I was trying to do that with little success. Glad I ran across it. Best explanation and demo out there. Thanks. New subscriber. Bob

Luv CPF baits. Good quality and they last. Have caught a lot of bass on the original Thumper and the Wobbler here in Florida. Keep up the good work.

I like that floating thumper...I'm one of those guys that fishes a speed worm in all the water columns available...lol. I think most Florida guys do. I'm giving that a try...good video...

Sorry for the delayed response. Just seeing your message. Yep, us Florida guys always got a speed worm tied on. Did you get a chance to try the floating thumper yet?

Im gonna pick some up. Been killing it on other brands big speed worms, but burning through too many baits because of tail/durability issues.
Wish yall had the 7" floaters in redbug.

Might add that color one day. Let me know how you like them when you get them.

    Hey Chuck
I’ve seen you hammer the bass out
on Toho with those worms. I’ve wanted
to give them a try. Are they sold in any stores or are they available online only ?

Online and at 2 retailers in Lakeland and Big Toho Marina. We’re just now making a push to get added in more stores.

I'm all about cost (... and performance). Love the Zoom, but agree the tail is weak.

Consider value when you consider the cost. If you run through a $5.49 bag of 15 baits in a day or 3 baits out of 8 that you paid $5.49 for then the second product is a better deal
