I used to love this sequence as a kid, this movie still left most of us a great impression and childhood memories. I agree with some of you, this is the closest live action of "Dino Crisis" we can get.
It' a GOOD monster movie. It's a mediocre Godzilla movie. But Zilla is an official part of the godzilla lore, so this movie is cannon in the godzilla universe lol

No matter how many times I see it, 0:19 always makes me think this baby is about to attack Audrey as it sneaks up right behind her. I know it doesn't, but it sure looks like it will.
The crazy thing is they are babies and they are all the fish while then it they get out they are pretty much bullet resistant and extremely agile and powerful. They would absolutely wreak havoc on the environment.
And they had yet to produce their atomic breath ability since Jr in the series was able to use it. Just imagine if these babies started shooting out green flame.

This is not a bad movie. It’s fun and imaginative. The only problem is that it calls itself Godzilla. I think Roland Emmerich just named it differently and NOT the infamous kaiju, this movie would have been more beloved as unique creature feature.
This is the best version of Godzilla on existence, unlike the newer CGI models, those are for little kids. This one is more real. Which is why it is THE perfect Godzilla
