Definately agree with your point of view regarding thermal bags. Can afford an over £3,000 e-bike and the latest iPhone, but yet can’t afford a £20 thermal bag. Laziness if you ask me.

As A Skip the Dishes driver in Canada, similar to Just Eat, I get so much love from shop owners for using my thermal bag, saves a bad review to them, and me! Who cares if you carry a big orange bag, your making money and shop owners even happier.

I was one of the people on the contracts sadly we've all been hit hard extremely hard. They told us it was due to cost cutting and change of focus in their model as the salary paid was costing them extremely too much aswell as all the recent problems they've had with their other subsidiarys in other countries (America). They are leaving us all with a massive bonus worth of 6 weeks pay if you stay till the end but today was my last day.
I got a new job starting tomorrow no more deliveries for me.
Keep up your amazing work though seriously these are such enjoyable videos and hopefully things pick up soon. 😊
There's a takeaway in North London where in the door there's a notice to all delivery riders that if they don't have a thermal bag they not allowed to collect
Yh that is because, customers complain about recieving cold food, which looks bad on the restaurant. When they probably prepared everything fresh and did everything correctly on their part.
Some drivers use backpacks, picnic bags etc which are not designed to carry hot food and don't have any insulation material which means food gets cold in transit.
Delivery companies have policies in place which consists of recommending restaurant staff to request seeing Delivery thermal bags before handing over driver the food order.
If i order something i am curtain twitching and at the door before you come up the path lmao

I order the most from JustEat to be honest, used to be a major UberEats person, but not anymore. Trying to get back into using deliveroo cos they seem to have brought out some good restaurants near me

I've also noticed that the second order on a deliveroo stack sometimes has you 'arrived' immediately. Good as no need to rush to the delivery point but bad if the customer is monitoring your progress. I always phone ahead and tell the customer a realistic time for the actual arrival. I've reported this bug and hopefully everyone else will

I got a suspension for 24hours, after delivering food to one of my customers who didn't pick my call when I tried calling her numerous times via her mobile. To make that worse, she was supposed to pay me in cash for her food but also didn't.

Your earnings are quite a shock to me, as a delivery rider in Estonia we make about 3 Euro per delivery, so you make about with 50-60 after an 8 hour shift (depending on how busy it is) or as low as 20 for an 8 hour shift
I use the takeaway delivery app, think that used to be justeat over here in Belgium.

Do you get tips from customers? I always tip the delivery guys, usually any change I have on the shelf, few quid, but they all seem shocked when they get a tip.

Interesting about UberEats and Deliveroo usage, here in Australia Deliveroo closed down as it couldn’t compete with UberEats but we now have DoorDash as well but I don’t know how well that is going. We haveJust Eat as well here but that is called Menu Log, for a very long time Menu Log was the only player in the delivery business other than restaurants offering their own service.
I mean setting up and operating companies such as Delivery service usually has low running costs. Surprised they closed down. Usually, it's the main cities which delivery companies want to have a presence in. Maybe, Sydney just works different to other big cities in the world.

I order mostly from Just Eat or Deliveroo. It depends on which restaurants are available on which app. Uber Eats doesn't yet deliver in my area
I worked for a company once and in my contract it said the same, that I wasn't allowed to work for any other company without prior consent from my existing Company lol I thought yeah ok m8 right oh. Can't understand that clause in a contract when I was only working 3 days a week lol
Never give the order over before they give the code, I've had the door slammed on me before then I spent a good 15-20 mins on the phone to support

Welcome back after a very well-deserved holiday. You mentioned Just Eat. Are you aware they have been sacking riders for minor infringements like moving away from the pick up location? This has been covered in the press and includes stories of AI being used and zero support from Just Eat. Can happen if the vendor asks drivers not to block their entrance, so they move away - then BAM! the rider instantly gets a message they've been sacked. These are not new drivers, but experienced guys. Not good. Beware. Thanks.
Interesting to know Just Eat have changed their model. Makes me consider applying now. Only if you can go online when you want. No shifts.
They still have the shift allocation setup. I wish they’d switch to be the same as Deliveroo and Uber eats but can’t see that happen
Just Eat is the best as you dont have to register and you can put any name you want and just pay with paypal.

I always use a thermal bag but nine out of 10 drivers here do not. Which blows my mind. It’s so much easier to stick it in there especially when you’re picking it up so I don’t understand.

Here in America (in Florida) we have Door Dash and nine times out of 10. It says leave at the door. So we just leave it and take a photo and go. Do you ever leave at the door?

Whilst this is true for most cases, it's slightly different when you have a TH-cam channel that your employer can watch. They may not take him to court, but even mentioning that he was riding for Just Eat could have been enough for them to investigate him for a breach of contract, or could have been ammunition for them to hold over him if things ever get messy down the line.
Better drink Gatorade or any electrolyte drink which helps replace electrolytes that are lost in the body. Red Bull isn't good for you.
