I have a 2.3L 7MT Badlands 2 door and I love it, when not off road, the best thing about it it the 7 speed manual. I have a Flowmaster exahust and K&N cold air intake and it makes a big difference, not that it was super to slow to begin with, btu having a little extra power is good. The manual is so smooth, very precise shifts, ligth clutch. I hated the tach for about 5 minutes and then got use to it. I have about 5000 miles, no issues yet. I had a 1996 Ranger and had to replace the buttoms on the steering wheel, they were cheap and it was easy, but hopefully they are better now.

I have the 2 door Badlands 7-speed manual on order in Hot Pepper red, hoping it’s built after the supply chain issues are better and does not land in Bronco-Jail there. Glad to hear your driving impressions! The manual seems like fun and also feel it will allow better control over the 2.3L stay in the power band when needed.

WRONG...the 10 speed automatic has a manual over ride to pick gears manually. NO advantage with the 7-speed. It gets worse gas economy over the 10-speed too. Either way the larger V-6 gets better mileage over the 2.3 that has to work too hard.

DM, This is an excellent illustration of the principal that a manual transmission makes any vehicle better. Let's just hope that some day soon Toyota brings a manual 4X4 back to this market to add to the manuals offered by Wrangler and Bronco.

You are full of crap. The manual is slower, uses more gas, and a pain in the ass in traffic. The manual in the 4x4 V-6 Tacoma robs so much power out of the motor it can hardly reach 80 mph on hills, and sucks gas at 17 mpg on the highway compared to the automatic at 20. Plus the shifting action is horrible..same with Jeep Wrangler manual...they both suck. The 2.3 Bronco with 7-speed manual only gets 19 mpg highway....the larger V-6 engine Bronco with 10-speed does better at 20 easy. Aside from being a sadist there is no reason to have a manual in an SUV or truck--or Bronco.

@@chadhaire1711 hate driving you car much ? Manual is way better then auto. Drive the bronco with manual and it shifts just fine. Iv driven stick in traffic my entire life and can’t complain at all. And yes Iv driven 10-18 speed trucks on traffic. No issues if you can drive.

@@ljs2274 I guess you cant read so I will say it again.....most automatic cars are QUICKER, use LESS fuel, are JUST as reliable....which means the manual is SLOWER, guzzles MORE gas, and with clutch replacements actually cost MORE to operate. There are a few exceptions, such as high revving motors in sports cars that work better with a manual, Honda Si or Mazda Miata for example, but there are few. In the Bronco there is ZERO advantage over the 10 speed....ZERO...and for serious off-roading NOBODY is going to pick a manual over an automatic.....automatics dont stall when climbing super steep hills....stall on a steep hill and try to operate a brake pedal, gas pedal, and clutch pedal at the same time....that is why most military vehicles dumped the clutch and went auto....and most performance cars did too, about 98% of high-end muscle cars went full auto--even Ferrari---because it is superior.......you are driving a manual Bronco because you cant afford the better V-6 Bronco.....and you have NO clue what you are talking about Goober....

The Badlands comes standard with vinyl seats, not cloth. And the leather is 2200, not 2700.

Guessing the 2 door manual a couple hundred pounds lighter (16 inches shorter) than the 4 door too, making it quicker and more nimble. I have a '22 2 door Badlands manual which I ordered on Oct 14 2021. The '22 order banks being closed on March 7 hopefully will ease waiting pains for folks ?!, but certainly not a good sign overall.

There are full body-colored Broncos without removable tops coming for the Broncos of the 2023 model year and beyond so that should help with wind noise. A solid body-colored Bronco without removable doors and removable panels should will be nice. We'll see how that looks when they start building them later this year hopefully.

Just picked up a ‘22 w/hardtop. Doesn’t seem loud to me at all. Really don’t notice it so much if at all. Has the 4cyl w/manual as well. May be they’ve improved already, I’ve got the Big Bend with the less aggressive tires, or I just have bad hearing.

16:45 you can’t say it’s a fair price bc it’s comparable to another overpriced vehicle. Jeeps never get sold at MSRP, that’s what everyone who makes that point forgets. They are always on sale. Think about the latest economic downturn we had. There was only 1 brand discounting their cars and it was Stellantis the artist formally known as FCA. So if you compare it to an out the door price of a Wrangler, it becomes a different story
