Honestly in Naruto, most the villains make much more sense than any of the good guys. Even ones like Orochimaru, Kabuto, Chunin Exams Neji, and Danzo to certain degrees.

Danzo wasnt weak by any means necessarily, his wind style jutsu is pretty high tier, he has 11 sharingans with izanagi and kotosukami . Wood style and his last resort curse seal that even made obito retreat. The guy could've atleast use half his sharingans to have as extra lifes while pain rekt his ass and then retreat to buy some time. And his body guards foo and torune were kinda strong too, especially those poison bugs, they could've taken a few paths of pain. Ofc they still get their asses handed by pain

minato being the "fastest shenobi of all time" kinda gives obito a reason to be pissed after he was too late two times in a row.
Honestly it wasn’t his fault the first time cuz he was 1 v 10,000ing iwagakure, but the second time not so sure. But obito killed both him and his wife and made his son’s life hell and he didn’t even have a shred of anger against him and blamed himself for obito becoming a villain, makes him such a likeable character imo
Also, madara had planned for obito to succeed him and so manipulated events so that rin would get killed by kakashi in particular and specifically in front of obito, I’m pretty sure he found some way to distract minato in order to make that happen

Like Iruka's parents got killed, probably half the village too. The bodyguards of his newborn child were killed just next to him by Obito. Like Hiruzen could be "wtf Minato, my freaking WIFE got killed right besides you, I thought you were the fastest dude on the planet!"
As cheesy as it sounds, It's the same grudge you can't hold against superman. The guy seems almighty, with the potential to save everyone, but nonetheless he cannot be everywhere at anytime. And it is not his fault people are in danger. He has a big weight over his shoulders and try to do his best.
Obito got "killed" or let's say severely impaired, half his body crushed. But the counterpart is, the war came to an end. So this battle his team got involved into for the bridge, made worth the sacrifice.
Obito is just unlucky that the greater good is in the balance against his odds.
Same goes for Rin, she got killed but she never rampaged as the 3 tailed beast in the village.
Although, this time we can question why Kakashi was kind of alone for this rescue mission? Minato wasn't there, although he is not part of their team any more... it's iffy but Kakashi was without relevant backups.
Unfortunately they are military people, so they have to confront the risk if death in their missions. As well they give death to other people at the same time. All their missions are life or death situations. And they are fully aware of that.
Haku died he was like 12 years old. Tsunade's brother died about the same age. Itachi's camarades died (by the hands of Obito) about the same age.
Even in part 1 death is something they have to agree on as a risk. In the chunin exam, they have to agree that death is on the table for the 2nd round, the forest of death. Some people got murdered by Gaara, they didn't make it to the end, and people just moved on with the further round. Nobody stopped saying "omg, this is awful, stop the examination we have to reinforce the safety measures". No everybody just assumed it was part of the deal by going in the examination. People can attack you with blades, knifes and explosives, you might get killed, be aware.
So Obito is being selfish about the death that matters. When they are closed and personal, here they have to matters. If he wanted to change the system he should have went in the way of the means of Tsunade for example. She fought to have medics in every ninja team to prevent people from dying on the battlefield so often. This is the type of action you go along if you really want to move the system.
Tsunade went through a very similar path to him, she lost the 2 closest persona to her, and one of them died with his organs ripped out of his body. But she is more mature than Obito.
Same goes for Jiraya, he walked the Earth in order to find a way to put an end to the hatred among people. He delivered message of peace through his literature (well partially) and trained war orphans that were victims of his own village.
Obito just take a personal route with his own means but he is not justified to hold a grudge against Minato.
Kind of irrelevant note about pain in the anime, his English voice is fucking stellar

I mean, the team that took him down was literally his grandma (The OG puppet master who knew damn near everything about puppets and by extent had the ultimate reconnaissance on him) and Sakura (Sannin trained kunoichi who had the physical force to literally neutralize IRON SAND and was probably one of the only people in the world who could actually develop multiple antidotes to Sasori’s nigh-unbeatable poison.

Instead of Boruto, I think we should have had an anthology series following the backstories of some of the most interesting characters, and expanding upon the villages that weren’t heavily featured. Specifically, I wanted to see how the seven ninja swordsmen acted as a team on missions, how and why Sasoru conquered a nation, Deidara’s exploits as part of the explosion corps, and the story behind Uzushiogakure’s destruction.

When did he get ridiculed by anyone outside of Kakashi, even then Kakashi sort of change right before he got hit by a rock. He could've returned to the village anytime after Rins death and would've still had Kakashi and Minato (ignoring the whole Madara seal plot device)

Minato explains that as he tells Kakashi how he FAILED Obito. He also has rarely, if ever been seen under the care of Minato in the few flashbacks they do have.
He still had no friends other than Team Minato because of his Uchiha status coupled with his ineptitude as a shinobi. And Kakashi always being a dick to him never helped anything, it wouldn't be until his "death" that Kakashi treated him with any respect or reverence. And plus, Rin did more than just be nice to him, she made him believe in himself and in the future, his dream. No one else even tried to establish that the way Rin did.

Kakuzu is one of those characters that needed one more fight, specifically a 1v1 against another powerful character that isn't Kakashi. He just felt underutilized despite how cool he is.

For me Sasuke was really great in the prequel. But in Shipudden Kishi made him so much different and edgy. He literally goes back and forth from "Im gonna be hokage" and "Fk the Village". I get where he's coming from but it becomes a bit confusing for me

i have seen this fanbase and they don't get obito or hinata....they legit will crap on both of them because of surface level reasons without really going any deeper and it bothers me to no end....its like 1/3 of the people who talk about this series are flat out retards...obito is darth vader in anime...period...he is tragic....but he created naruto ironically through his actions and he can stop him the way vader created luke as if the universe itself gave him a chance to make up for what hes done through this other being......hinata subverts how we think about at the surface what are strong female characters in fiction...shes the anti wonder woman as i like to say.....wonder woman created this idea that strong females in fiction have to be a certain way and hinata subverts all of that in how shes written and I appreciate it cause I was getting sick of the strong sexual in your face woman trope at the time in comics...

Totally. He was a very realistic character, given that there have been influential historical figures with similar ideas. And he really lived his ideology in a way almost no one else did. I think it would have been easy to make Nagato a hypocrite by having him only wish pain on others. But even in his character design it was clear that he also carried the burden of pain, as a reminder of his past and as inspiration for his vision of the future.
Lelouch’s answer is probably one of the best or the best way to stop the cycle of hatred.

The coolest akatsuki ranking I've ever watched. For once the discussion wasn't about their abilities and all that, even if it was kinda implied, I liked that it was about how well the characters were executed, their strengths their flaws and just how human that makes them. The entire Naruto show for me wasn't just about the cool powers and dope fight scenes and jutsu's, even tho it started out that way. It became more about humanity, and I learnt that no one is ever objectively pure good or pure evil, that is the human condition, people make choices and these choices guide how they live and where they end up. Again thanks for this beautiful hilarious ranking, I didn't want it to end.

One of the reasons I personally find Obito to be so cool is because I watched the dub version, and the writing and voice acting for him were S-Class. Immediately after being unmasked the real Madara shows up as an Edo, even though he saw the reanimation jutsu being released, and he doesn't even blink. He just looks over and says one of my favorite lines "so you defied the reanimation . . . that is so like you". He's not impressed, he's not scared, he's not relived, he gives absolutely no fucks that Madara is there with him at all. Obito was still totally resigned to fighting off Naruto, Kakashi, Guy, and Bee by himself. But then he sees his undead mentor appear out of no where and just goes, "How typical". Plus he actually had the brains to never trust Madara in the first place, and was competent enough at manipulation that even Madara was like "wow, you've certainly grown up", and then beat him to absorbing the ten tails

Yep my man Sasori has a very good of everything:
1. Like he's jutsus are cool. He's the best puppet master in the ENTIRE NARUTO WORLD HISTORY. Also he had a lot more potential like making a human puppets of strong shinobis for example his own teammates
2. His character design also fits his abilities. A puppet master that has a PUPPET body that is huge. So he is strong and creepy at the same time
3. His backstory and character along with his feelings towards his grandma like of the one who he actually CARE in this world. He's independent and cold blooded as well
Anyway i think he's a very cool character

Gonna be honest, this is the first time I've seen your channel and I'm not gonna lie at the start of this video it thought it was kinda average, and I love this kinda content and I've been subscribed to swag for years....HOWEVER..... from the jabs at Konans deputy demotion - Kakazu's whole section - Deidara, "rage quit" - Sasori's whole section (At this point I was subscribed) - Even serious Itachi with the "ME." quote with Kabuto - And Pain, I laughed so much, "Vibe checked a whole village", "This mf spitin." lmao. I mean the dynamic of this vid was amazing. And I respect the facts. I really hope that u 2 collab more in the future, and I'm loving the content bro, can't wait to see more. Overall FIRE!!

i think we can all admit obito is a top 5 fleshed out character in naruto maybe top 3-4 so we undestand he has fan and hes important and kishi gave him layers screen time and relevant ideals but he also is annoying...and kinda a mood point...he feels like madara sasuke naruto thrown into a blender and thus does not stand out on his own at all

Along with the Deidara Kakazu thing, they both were members kicked out of their village after stealing secret techniques, they both also were obstacles that Naruto and Sasuke had to overcome to reach their goal (Naruto was trying to keep up with Sasuke and Sasuke was trying to fight Itachi) and also both their partners were presumably defeated before they got killed

Even if all of the deaths that Pain causes are reversed, that doesn’t mean that it was bad writing. Being convinced by Naruto and sacrificing his whole being because of his faith in him just makes sense as the character is written, and probably has the tightest writing of all of the major villains of the series.
I like that you said Obito doesn't believe anything matters anyways so he doesn't care and that to me ties in really nicely with his Mangekyo ability to phase through anything because it doesn't matter. Also I can imagine him thinking this as he saw kakashi kill rin "Nothing matters anymore."
