I see on the comments here "looks are not important"... but according to our society "looks is important". Especially during these social media times. Sandi Baby312 I was understanding(maybe not agreeing)with everything you said until you said you did not feel sorry for her. HOW can you look at another human being who has made a mistake, as we ALL do(yes, even you),and nit feel any compassion toward her? That is messed up! You are a prime example as to why women do this crap in the first place. We live in such an unforgiving society. People are rude and crude and unkind. Soften up a bit. Show some empathy to others and you’ll make the world a little bit better. It isn’t like she hurt anyone besides herself. If she had purposely hurt someone else then I’d comprehend your lack of compassion but she only hurt herself by making the decision to use silicone. So, Geesh. Cut her some slack.
This is why you RESEARCH your doctor. Go to someone who cares about their patients and can help you achieve your look with the right FDA approved fillers
@@daiseymae6263 i 1000 % agree with you. These doctors do anything to make money. How about accept yourself the way God made u. Plastic surgery and fillers is way too normalized in this vapid society
What mind would inject poison us liquid into your body? Silicone? Just unbelievable and I’ve had a ton of surgery but no loose injections. That doesn’t make me better than anybody but oh my god that’s horrifying to have that stuff floating all through your system
Let's stop victim blaming!! If society didn't basically penalize people, (esp women) for aging, then people wouldn't go this far. I see tons of comments that condemn the women, but basically NO comments that hold society accountable. "Age-shaming" is done every day. No wonder people go to extreme measures to try and look young.
Oh here we go. There is no age shaming, you want to live the life of a 20-30 yo when youre 50? That's on you and take the responsibility. Vanity took her to where she is now, not "society". If a man cannot make big money so he resorts to crime, is it society's fault that puts pressure on men to be achievers? We should not penalise him, he is a victim! Get out of here.
Oi if society won't say it then people will work for their career till 60s and won't marry. And after they have all the money they will then have children but reproduction in 40s-50s is more deadly then 20s-30s . And also it will effect the child too. As looks matter in finding mate.
SepherStar but I think she's talking about young people. a lot of Young women get work done. when they don't need it. even if you watch a show like botched. most of those people who messed up their face were already attractive. its weird.
Don’t be vain! We all age. Grow old with grace. I don’t care how much cosmetic surgeries, creams, botox you have, you will NEVER look 20, 25 again. You can look beautiful the age you are. Eat healthy, exercise, drink lots of water, etc.
I completely concur. My mother is around 80 and looks about 55. She NEVER HAD ANY FILLERS OR SURGERIES. She eats well, never got fat, and drinks a lot of water etc..
I dislike my nose too when I was younger, but now I love it eventho sometimes I still wanna change a bit of it but I love it and happy with it :) I’m glad I have given myself the time to grow and think before I did anything.
Facial injections aren't the problem, the SILICONE injections IN THE FACE are the problem. No qualified professional would ever inject silicone into someone's face because that is an obscure substance our body doesn't absorb. Silicone is for things like implants in the body. Hyaluronic injections, often Restylane or Juvaderm, are hyaluronic acids. Our body naturally produces HA. People who are uniformed or looking for a quick fix are the ones that end up like this. Because silicone injections are presented as permanent, while HA fillers are something that requires upkeep, it seems like a win-win. It's not. The silicone that was injected into her face is the same type of product used in breast implants and butt injections. Fillers like Restylane or Juvaderm have been FDA approved for decades (for lips, cheeks, under eyes). There are off label uses (such as under the eyes) that are performed on a regular basis. Of course there are side effects of those fillers, but nothing like this. You can also get a filler reversed with Hyaluronidase if a patient doesn't like the results. They should have went a little more in depth about why she chose to go this route and why silicone shouldn't be injected in the face, but also should have mentioned that HA fillers are safe and effective in most cases. I guarantee that every professional sitting there has at least tried them or used botox.
Explicit Low Thank you for your comment. It is that she got silicone injections. Not fillers in general. I can't believe that anyone could get away with that in the medical field.
One sole advice: don't touch your face!! not even hollywood actresses with all the money can figure out how to look 25 again, you were young once, you got your shot, find something else to do with your life besides physical beauty. Life is so much richer than all that BS!

And 2. How would one not know about it NOT being safe after researching about this? I am so grateful that she is still alive after all the trauma her face/person went through!
A woman being pretty is not a reason to not need injections. This does not have to have anything to do with being pretty it has something to do with looking younger.
this is crazy intense. To bad she felt she needed fix something that didnt need it. Its wild how often you hear "looks dont matter" but everywhere you look from relationships with others to a personal relationship with ones self.... it seems that people go to and through a full spectrum of all sorts of extremes to live out a reality that has nothing to do with such a principle. Hope things get better for the woman. Please people learn to love yourself and if you find you need to change anything about yourself...try the more healthy and natural path first, really give it a try even if it may take a little longer. Its never worth such horrific outcomes like this to take on the shortcut to whatever it is you have in mind about who you think you need to be or look like.
Wendy Alejandra creams domt work, My cousin does face injection for wrinkles. and shes beautiful, but idk why that women happen that to her. i wounder if she sue them.
Women especially must realize that there is a time for everything, and there is a time to be young and a time to be old, if God spares your life, then you are blessed to live to reach old age. You cant look or be 20/30 again. Live healthy, be graceful and accept your age. We look too much at superficial beauty and forget about the one within. When you are beautiful on the inside, it radiates on the outside . Too many people here have loss focus. They about using thousands of dollars on make up and videos on how to look young etc...face reality, and thank God for life and try and make peace with yourselves and your maker!
@Farry Ali Hard Fact : Even w/ proper rest, diet, exercise...Most Woman 45+ start to look tired. In many professions woman that look tired or just have resting bitch face end up being completely disregarded in the work place. For me it is a case of having to spend money to make money. Fillers & botox keeping me looking fresh /alert. Prior to starting i noticed the change in the way i was being treated (i was being treated like a tired, out of the loop old lady..& that is a fact.)
Farry Ali Oh please! These botched surgeries are a minority...there is nothing wrong with have proper enhancements done .....there are wonderful more natural products out there these days that help a woman feel more youthful and energetic....each to their own...
I admire and love people who grow old naturally. Growing old is a beautiful natural thing and it's your very own beautiful persona, accept what you look like because at the end of the day it is you.
Chisom Well first of all, she has to prove that it's medical malpractice because she knew the risks before she had it done and she very likely had signed off on that or otherwise the doctor wouldn't have done the procedure. Her own body reacted badly to the injection and that's not the doctors problem.
You DONT inject silicone into the face or any other body part! Period! Silicone is very dangerous when injected! It doesn’t even belong in breast implants in my opinion!
These are the woes of chasing vanity, or the ever elusive "fountain of youth". But I'm not gonna judge this lady, because many of us delude ourselves into thinking we are not vain, but just "owning our bodies". How about we LOVE our bodies as opposed to commodifying them? We don't realize we're under this delusion until we get a wake-up call. This could've easily been me because at only age 26, I developed a brow wrinkle that makes me appear sort of angry....but I'm actually on the opposite extreme of angry. These shallow societal norms have us believing that the aesthetic of "aging gracefully" pales in comparison to a superficial aesthetic, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Natural is always, always better and healthier, unless there's a serious medical need to alter it.
you said it sister. although vanity isn't always a bad thing. to some people, being vain means eating healthy, exercising regularly and being clean. to other, it means something else. but overall i agree with you. the more natural and normal your life is, the better.
Why get out of bed in the morning when "we all live to die" and will be forever orientated in a horizontal direction? Accept it. You will be bolted in a coffin.
When breast implants rupture the silicon can do damage to breast tissue. This was was quite common when silicon breast implants first came came out. The stories were horrid so why on earth would anybody agree to have silicon injected anywhere on the body, regardless what any doctor would tell you?
@@markganus1085 It has nothing to do with what others tell you. It's living up to societal expectations of never aging. While it is ridiculous, you can't blame women for wanting to do anything to stay young when society pits them against each other.

They did not say how to protect yourself from facial injection disfigurement. Unless the answer is to not do it. Wonder if she sued the doctor that originally destroyed her face.
LindyTN You correctly answered your question. The answer was to just NOT do it. Even the DR's panel said: 1 its permanent (meaning you get what you get) (we cant fix it) 2 its silicon and you DON'T KNOW how its going to react. Bad on BOTH counts. So yea, not something I would want to try.
The best way I think is to do your research before you sign up for anything. Make sure the doctor is a board certified plastic surgeon. Look at testimonials from other patients. Ask the doctor what material is in the filler. And when you do sign a paper, read everything.
I am grateful if this woman's courage in telling her story saved even 1 person from going through with a similar procedure. It was a very unselfish gesture and I am thankful to God she took the step to go on tv and talk about it, knowing she could face judgment and bullying.

@Sandi Baby312 , yes! Absolutely agree, no pity for this stupidity!
This is why you RESEARCH your doctor. Go to someone who cares about their patients and can help you achieve your look with the right FDA approved fillers
No, this is why you eat right, exercise, and age gracefully, stop injecting your face with poison, it’s not worth it

He’s actually dead
Insightful and true!
I agree with you. Grow old gracefully
Oi if society won't say it then people will work for their career till 60s and won't marry. And after they have all the money they will then have children but reproduction in 40s-50s is more deadly then 20s-30s . And also it will effect the child too. As looks matter in finding mate.
Exactly people don’t want to find solutions rather they want to lazily victim blame
What I don't understand is that typically the people that tend to get plastic surgery and stuff like this are people that are already attractive
Corn Bread precisely. its callled being dillusional
I think the thing is, these women panic when they perceive their looks going.
SepherStar but I think she's talking about young people. a lot of Young women get work done. when they don't need it. even if you watch a show like botched. most of those people who messed up their face were already attractive. its weird.
not true. go to the website "real self" and do an image search. Many of the people who had tummy tucks and liposuction did not look so good before.

Voice of reason at last.
Explicit Low thank u for ur words

I know she is thankful to her daughter and the doctor who took on correcting a unfortunate outcome from silicone injections. He has done a great job.
The doctor's skill with repairing the botched job on this woman is amazing. But I must say she still looked more beautiful before any attempts at injections. She lost her natural beauty.

And 2. How would one not know about it NOT being safe after researching about this? I am so grateful that she is still alive after all the trauma her face/person went through!
Well done Dr. Jarrahy, incredible work !!
So happy that she met this doctor. He dis an amazing job. Bless you all
Thank God for who you are and you will live healthy!
Sad. Very pretty woman, did not need it.
A woman being pretty is not a reason to not need injections. This does not have to have anything to do with being pretty it has something to do with looking younger.
I agree 💯 Sad. God loves us the way we are, let nature take it's course!!!
this is crazy intense.

Exactly!
This is the reason why I will never have any form of plastic surgery
Growing old gracefully isn't all that bad after seeing some of these disasters!
wow that's sad i would of rather use creams for wrinkles
Wendy Alejandra most of them don't work. but that's not important. just age with grace.
Wendy Alejandra creams domt work, My cousin does face injection for wrinkles. and shes beautiful, but idk why that women happen that to her. i wounder if she sue them.
BB Renew Retin A from the dr works. Also take collagen supplements, lots of water, limited alcohol, lots of vegetables and some fruit.
Wendy Alejandra I'm thinking the "doc" probably used industrial-grade scillicone rather than medical. It's common in backyard plastic surgery.
Creams don’t work. You need laser facial treatments and what not.
Beautiful sentiment.
True. So much time spent on the exterior, none on the interior.

I hope she sued the hell out of the doctor that did the procedure on her.
Chisom Well first of all, she has to prove that it's medical malpractice because she knew the risks before she had it done and she very likely had signed off on that or otherwise the doctor wouldn't have done the procedure. Her own body reacted badly to the injection and that's not the doctors problem.
Chisom it’s maybe not the the doctors fault maybe she’s just allergic and that’s not the doctors fault
Chisom I would have made him pay double the amount of the medical bills.
Super Kittygirl Industrial-grade scillicone- commonly used in backyard plastic surgery- can cause this type of injury.
Why do anything to your face at all? Age naturally! Accept it. We all live to die.

They did not say how to protect yourself from facial injection disfigurement. Unless the answer is to not do it. Wonder if she sued the doctor that originally destroyed her face.
LindyTN my guess is yeah.
LindyTN
You correctly answered your question. The answer was to just NOT do it. Even the DR's panel said:
1 its permanent (meaning you get what you get) (we cant fix it)
2 its silicon and you DON'T KNOW how its going to react.
Bad on BOTH counts. So yea, not something I would want to try.
LindyTN I think a waiver is signed
Ya seriously that’s why you do a test in another place first, a small small area! To see how u react
The best way I think is to do your research before you sign up for anything. Make sure the doctor is a board certified plastic surgeon. Look at testimonials from other patients. Ask the doctor what material is in the filler. And when you do sign a paper, read everything.
She is so brave to share her story!
