  • Riders don't appreciate long waits for the train and the bus, but understaffing at the MTA has led to longer commutes.

The safest vehicle to be in is a bus/train. A school bus filled with children not wearing belts got slammed by a Ford Mustang traveling at 100mph towards the side of the bus as it crossed an intersection. 0 occupants inside the bus died, the dude in the car is now with the big man upstairs. Yeah, we should ban cars ASAP.

I am thankful for the bus operators who do stop at the bus stops to pickup passengers. Though, when I was in Queens, the Q67 bus operator did not stop at the designated stops. I waited at 4 stops and buses would skip over stops. The bus driver didn't even see me when I literally was at the front of the bus stop. I had to walk 2.5 miles one afternoon to Court Square to get on the subway since no Q67 bus would stop at Borden Ave. Extremely limited service or no service at all.

Let me tell you about the Job....it pays very well...nowadays drivers have to WAIT 5 YEARS for that golden TOP PAY EGG. In 2013 it took only 3 years. After training drivers learn routes from the depots they are assigned to. After learning the routes YOUR ON YOUR OWN. Now your on a ONE YEAR probation period, if you have any accident even if you tap your mirror and crack it on a tree branch your probation is extended 6 months, another accident YOUR FIRED AND BACK TO SQUARE ONE. Look for another job....anyone who can get through that without a hitch A NICE PENSION WITH BENIFITS IS WAITING FOR YOU😀👍

Well for NOW THE UNION IS SENDING US PROPAGANDA ON TRANSIT OPERATOR SHORTAGES. WHEN WE DROP THE RIDICULOUS VACCINATION MANDATE ON NEWLY HIRES THEN POSITIONS WILL BE FILLED BECAUSE QUITE FRANKLY WHEN WE SEE MASK AND VACINATION CARD MANDATES DROPPED IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK AT PRETTY MUCH ALL VENUES there is absolutely no rhyme or reason as to why even testing on those operators that opted out of the jab should continue to test. To me this looks more like A PUSH TO MANDATE DIGITAL IDS, HEALTH PASS IDIOLOGIES AND DIGITAL CURRENCY. the great reset.....are we ready?

Believe me, when there were trolley cars running in NYC , the last one ended in April 1957 on the Queensborough Bridge, it was much safer to run a trolley car and to ride one than driving a bus. The closest thing to one is the Hudson Bergen Light Rail across the Hudson River in Jersey City, N.J at Exchange Place by close to Battery Park in Manhattan. It runs from Bayonne thru Jersey City til North Bergen via the Hudson River waterfront. I rode on it. I am a New Yorker.

NYC Transit workers earn a nice income and they live comfortably. Great benefits too! Five weeks paid vacation, medical, and dental. At least 12 paid holidays (Your birthday is a paid holiday too) and a free transportation pass. If you come on the job and you're in an unstable marriage, you should divorce your spouse before you reach 10 years of employment. Otherwise, that spouse will be entitled to a share of your retirement pension when you leave the job. Bang!
