What a hype episode, can't wait for the next episode and reaction! Some random LN context, not really spoilers: The anime in its entirety has been leaving out important Ais content for years; even in S4, a major part of what kept Bell going in the deep floors was his love/admiration for Ais, which helped him hold onto to hope and not give in to despair. Additionally, in Sword Oratoria Ais has just quite a few Bell simping/inspiration moments like Bell has for her, so the feelings are not one-way. So, that scene with Ais is a bit more heartfelt than you'd expect (even the Sword Oratoria anime didn't fully capture it all sadly) Also, with Hermes, part of what made him realize something was wrong was his correspondence with Zeus. Remember in S1 how it was revealed that Zeus was Bell's "Grandpa"? This is a detail that was left out in this episode for some reason, basically saying that Zeus is still around.
Hedin is a guy btw also i think he is on bells side or atleast want the best for him maybe cuz they already had some sort of connection pre the brainwashing
