Joe Benigno is not really 71 years old. He's 31.
Being a Jets fan has just accelerated his aging.
😅😂
Rex talks as a bad ass, but he was as much a player's coach as the Jets have ever had. AND the team was as undisciplined as ever.
And he still led the team to two straight AFC championship games in his first two seasons. What's your point? At this point, just making playoffs would be impressive. 14 years is too long to be this bad.
@ Once Mangini’s players were largely gone they failed over the final four and his two seasons in Buffalo. He’s all talk. He’s the Trump of the NFL world.
Ryan's Jets won games and stared down the prime of the Brady/Belichick era. I'm a Patriot fan and Rex always had his teams ready to play.
What is your point ?
@@SportsGerbil You're not wrong, but what is your solution assuming of course that we're stuck with this owner? Rex is absolutely flawed, but he at least cares about the Jets and would want to be here. Who else are they going to get in here? It's the worst job in the league, bar none. And after this season that core "talent" has regressed.
They went to the playoffs twice
At the start of the 1990’s, I never imagined that the Bucs, Saints, Seahawks, Cardinals, Bengals, Colts, Rams, and Browns (Baltimore Ravens) would all play in or win a Super Bowl, before the NY Jets did. Those were the perennial losers and in 2024, the only losers are the Jets, with 15 years of NO PLAYOFFS. SUCH PUKE.
Great point, but don't forget the Falcons or the Patriots becoming the league's foremost juggernaut. Just unreal. Things weren't great with the Jets circa 1990 but it's astonishing how much worse it is now.
Seahawks only started in 1976. They were good in the 80s. They went to the AFC championship in 1983. Chuck Knox was 80-63 as Seahawks coach. The Seahawks got Hall of Fame receiver Steve Largent in a trade for an 8th round pick in their first year.
An interesting thing about Chuck Knox is he went to the Rams and they fired him for drafting Jerome Bettis and traded Bettis to Pittsburgh. Knox also angered management for wanting to draft Brett Favre.
Joe on Sunday overnight was great with Umberto's Clam House lol
Wasn't that the place where the Jets got whacked?
Sugar Ray Martel on the other side of the glass ..... " Ah, Sugar! "
...and Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza
FACTS
Always used to stay up late night Sunday/early Monday morning to hear Joe's Jet rants. They were epic. He would start the show with the Bangles Manic Monday.
I’ve made this comment a bunch of times, but WHY did the Jets and fans think AR was going to be so great based on he ended things in Green Bay. They basically helped him pack when they drafted J Love. The Green Bay organization couldn’t stand him and his bizarre antics and standoffish personality. None of this surprises me. Everyone else just woke up.
This is your personal narrative, nothing more. You and so many others don't like him because of how things ended in Green Bay or for his oddities or how he behaves or handles the media. And that's fine. I'm not defending him because I honestly couldn't care less about him. I care deeply about the Jets and that's it. I only care about the green. He's not a Jet nor is he a New Yorker so he can fly on outta here (pun intended) and I'd forget all about him as soon as he does.
Setting aside his play, sometimes there are situations where a change of scenery is worthwhile for all parties. That could have been in play here, if of course the Jets were a competent organization. We know they aren't so the experiment failed. He also sustained a serious injury at 39, so anyone expecting miracles this season was dreaming. The average Jet fan such as myself was just looking for competent quarterback play. That's it. Moving the ball consistently, limiting turnovers and converting third downs and in the red zone. Maybe scoring 20+ points in dare I say, half the games. And in doing so taking pressure off a painted into the corner defense that's been trying to limit damage over the last two years in constantly playing from behind and defending short fields.
It's just funny to me how outsiders speak about "delusional Jet fans" as if we thought this result was impossible and that a Super Bowl was in the bag. Have you seen what we've seen over the last fifteen years at QB? Even a 40-year-old coming off of a serious injury with lots of off the field baggage is better than what they've had. He has certainly not played well, but other than the unexpected Fitzmagic year of 2015 - a year that only happens because Geno got punched out by a backup linebacker over the reimbursement of a $600 plane ticket - he's been the best they've had since 2006 Pennington or 2008 Favre pre-bicep injury.
The problem is the rest of the team got worse, the inept coaching couldn't hold down the fort and ownership came in when the season was teetering on the brink of collapse and overreacted at just the right moment to ensure failure. The kicking game was the best part of the team over the last couple of years; now an extra point is an adventure. The defense hasn't stopped the run since night one, and can't ever get off the field. And then the usual Jet trio of key injuries, lack of discipline and penalties and the general circuslike environment derailed them the rest of the way. I've seen it in many forms over more than forty years following this team. It's gone on for decades before Rodgers' arrival and it'll go on for decades after his departure.
Just enough with the AR narrative garbage; what was their alternative? This organization under this ownership simply refuses to build organically. They always have an eye on someone else's girlfriend. That's what they do over and over again with the possible exception of the Mangini years when they drafted sensibly with building blocks of Brick, Mangold, Revis and Harris in the early rounds of 2006 and 2007. Other than that the emphasis has been on winning the back pages and the offseason. Get people talking about them for firing or hiring someone when other teams are still playing meaningful games. Or spend a high draft pick on an unproven QB then expect him to be properly developed by a defense-first regime. That's been done four times by my count. Or trade for an over-the-hill up Green Bay QB. That's happened twice. This is what they do, so as fans we're relegated into hoping a stop-gap move works out when we know it won't. No real Jet fan thought this guy was leading them anywhere other than into fringe playoff contention, at best. I personally thought he'd play better than he has but end up getting injured, you know, sort of like what happened last year. I think the numerous cheap shots he took in that first New England game at home hampered him because he was moving better that night, and hasn't since. Either way, good riddance. He can take his act and all the outside vitriol it brings somewhere else next year.
Rodgers spent his entire career in Green Bay hating coaches, hating GM’s, blaming teammates for everything. Now he’s on the Jets, and he will never say it…but he’s realizing his success was way more due to the packers organization than himself. There’s a reason the packers always have a great qb and the jets never do. And it’s not luck!! Rodgers has been exposed!!!!
Facts. The Packers are one of the best organizations in the league. I'm not a Packers fan, but they are a model club. They attract quality coaches and GMs, they draft well, they attract good free agents, they develop talent, they are are smart with money, and they are competitive year after year. They are on their third franchise QB since 1996.
@@underwaterlevelz1947 Yup, them and the Steelers always find their way to relevance.
Interesting point. How does Brady fit into your theorem? Does he wash out of the league in 4-5 years if he came in with the Jets?
He was also a much younger, better QB all those years in Green Bay than now.
@@steves9964I really hope he answers this question
Rogers taking a knee on 3rd down as times running out says it all. What a legacy
Joe needs to take a step back. I’m not saying renounce his fandom, but this team is not winning another Super Bowl in his lifetime. No point in getting worked up at his age over a franchise that is rotten from top to bottom.
Who the hell is still watching the season after the 5th game?
jets fans
Drunks & Gamblers
me, it's my team
not me
Fr
The Jets have been so bad they gave Joe Benigno COVID
He should sue woody 😅
joe b says the same thing every week about this team, he keeps coming back lol
Get well soon Joe!
So many delusional Jets fans ignored the obvious warning signs in 2022. Evan led that charge, “we have a hall of fame QB now.” Guys so clueless about football.
AR cant plant and throw. Make it easier??? He doesnt/cant throw over 5yrds.
Joe trashed ZW for the same exact caliber of play, but cant say anything negative about AR. Not to mention the OL is better this yr... AR is toast
I still dont blame us one bit for trying
joe is a old man fanboy
Took the words out of my mouth.
Zach Wilson's better games were MUCH better than Rodgers' "better games"
The Jets are so bad , that they even get beat by former Jets.
😂😂😂 so true!!!
Joe and Mike kissing Rodgers ass bc of his political opinions is his ridiculous at this point, this guy is a locker room killer, he’s washed up, move on!
100%. Rodgers is a cancer. He always has been. One of the best to ever play the position but his greatest enemy has always been his own personality. His talent used to be enough to compensate. But at 40 yrs old it no longer is.
Rogers would never work out with a good franchise. Good franchises don’t allow a QB, no matter how great they are, to dictate scheme and personnel decisions. Rogers audibles away from so many plays into one of three types of route concepts. The majority of Jets positive offensive plays are scheme related. Rogers ruins it by thinking he knows better than anyone. Get that bum outta here
I love this guy JOE BININGO HE IS THE BEST IM IN TEARS 😅 JETS GAVE HIM COVID LOL 😆
Jets win their next game by 1 point and they’re all of a sudden back to winning the super bowl again. Lol
It's hilarious how much rope they give Rodgers even though he's clearly washed
“Hey guys read this book by known SA’r and domestic abuser Bill O’Reilly”
Go to bed old man…
Joe’s the best. Should still be on WFAN.
He had enough of driving into and out of Manhattan every day.
Comes on every Saturday morning.
Hes annoying.
Every weak (with the Jests it's weak, not week), Joe B has now finally reached his limit.
Until...
Next weak... ;-)
We're with ya, bro.
lol, only a Jets fan would think 14-0 in the 1st quarter is a "big lead". The Jets are so bad they have destroyed your understanding of football.
We understand it's not the 84 Niners
However, a 14 pt lead at home must be defended every time
@nyjsackexchange I don't disagree, but a 14-0 lead is equivalent to 2-0 in any other sport. It's not a big lead unless you are playing soccer.
FFS...at least don't pay Rodgers his contracted $35 mil just to be a stop gap QB next year!!!
I don’t buy for a second that Tiki didn’t buy season tickets because of Rodgers being there. What a stooge
hard to take a bunch of "diehard jet fans" seriously when they claim they've never heard of Leonard Williams before
It was a joke….. how TF do you not know that lol…Joe was being a smart ass, he knows who Leonard Williams is
He was referring to the kickoff return by Nwangu or whatever
You have to LOVE joe's passion.
Ur a moron dude doesn’t know shit and complains about the same thing every week yet wants Rex back as coach
You knew the culture was bad when the savior QB who was 40 and coming off a season ending ACL, decided that Egypt was more important than minicamp and getting on page with his team. This was all predictable.
Confronting The Presidents is a solid read
They have to get an experienced head coach in here. You see the talent. They’re just not a team. Need the culture change coach in there
Watched the beginning of the game. Thought the misery was over. Psychhhhhh.
He’s “done”, “finished”, “fed up”, “disgusted” every week. He whined about wanting to be retired for so long, he should go back to being retired, stay in Florida and just shut up. I used to be a big fan of Joe’s, now I’m more fed up with him than I am the Jets.
I agree he’s a idiot now
Doesn't help that he's a big conservative
Thanks Grandpa Joe for the pep talk. We needed it.
Watched the game,we were up 14-0 and i thought ok here we go BUT NO WE GO AND #### IT UP AGAIN. Im a jet fan from Ireland 🇮🇪 and this team has shot my blood pressure through the roof 😢😢
Quit now before it's too late
Joe wishing the Jets still win is amazing. They are undeniably better off losing every game remaining
Tiki doing crossword puzzles collecting a paycheck guy couldn't care any less
Root for the only NFL Team who Plays in NY! Go Bills!!
You CANNOT win with woody Johnson. And I don’t understand why that’s not all that’s talked an out. You can’t overcome that disfunction.
I don’t understand why you all just use your media push for new ownership. It’s been clear the problem since Hess sold the team.
The Jets sucked WITH Hess.
Worse trade: Watson to Cleveland? Or Rodgers to New Jersey?
Carolina for Bryce Young
Denver for Russ
Groper Cleveland
All much worse than Rodgers Jets trade.
They didn't give up the farm and aren't tied to him.
Watson to Cleveland. Worst trade in history.
Watson, especially bc the contract he was given.
05:01 - 05:30 Tiki sums up Rodgers season…💯
Santa Claus and Jesus couldn't help this team. Horrific Football Team all around
Even my football team led by Brian Daboll and “QB that shall not be named” managed to beat Seattle this year even if it was a fluke win. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving franchise huh?
This year the Jets have finally broken Joe. 3-9 with a Hall of Fame QB. Only the Jets.
Beningo has higher standards to owners coaches and quarterbacks than he does for president.
Start your backup. You got nothing else to do. To cut Aaron you'll pay $45 million in dead cap and you still need a starting QB next year.
Lose every remaining game go 3-14 get a high pick F it
Think of all the positives. The Jets will get a better draft pick.
Famous Jamesis- classic
Joe, feel better, the Jets aren’t worth getting sick over! 😮
We are all surprised again nomatter to what's said here. If the Jets stink. It's tradition
Hey Joe- don’t listen to Rodgers- get the vaccine!😂
I doubt darnold would come back to play for that loser of a meddling owner… that old fool is the curse of that team… 😂😂😂 I’d like to see woody and joe duke it out once and for all so that joe can take out all his frustration on him.
I like Joe B and his theatrical rants and some good points he makes, but this Seattle supporter sheds no tears for him and his team. Thanks for Geno Smith and Leonard Williams and your draft picks for the bust-outs we gave you. Eat it, Joe.
Jamal adams thanks
Geno and Williams are just OK.
I had the Hawks -1.5 and was actually a little worried lol
Jet's deuce Acoma. 😂😂😂😂
Rex was not a taskmaster, he was all bluster no substance.
can we get joe a better camera?
Did something skip around 1:33
F-Joe Benigno. Monday morning know it all.
I bet the Jets and up 14-0 in the first quarter I was pumped and smelling the cash.
Then the Jets got destroyed starting when that Seahawks defense lineman got a TD.
Some awful analysis from the dude on the left tbh
so I heard Boomer say that the new record for Rodgers when he is playing at home and gets a 14 point lead or more, his record is now 74-1.
Everything you’re describing as what you want in a coach describes Rex Ryan
If Jets get top 5 pick, they need to trade down, need multiple picks
Agree
Jets need new owner new coach and GM also a new stadium in New York for sure that will get things turned around
Sure it will, when they move to Albany.
I knew in the 2nd half if they didnt score by the end of third quarter Seattle was gonna comeback, defense is far from lock down this year.
Rex, a bad ass disciplinarian????? Hahahaahhaahahhaahahhaahah
It’s the fact we laugh about these losses, if it were the Steelers, Ravens or hell even the Colts lose games like this they’d have a fan meltdown. We are so used to losing these games that the comedy of errors just become the norm. I couldn’t believe my eyes on Sunday to have the start we had even a kick six. They gave me hope to win a meaningless fun game of football and they still fucked over my Sunday 🤣💀
Just put this in perspective... The last time the Jets won a Superbowl?
Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison were all still living
Woodstock hadn't happened yet
The Beatles were still together
There were no playoffs in baseball yet. The team that won the pennant went straight to the world series
Joe Biden was still three years away from the BEGINNING of his political career
Lyndon Johnson was still the president (for a couple more weeks)
There were families that still didn't have color tv
I'm just saying
OH THE PAIN!
Feel better Joe. Look at the bright side, at least we know Jet induced COVID isn’t fatal. They want their fans to suffer.
And Rodgers did NOT take accountability he throws people under the bus constantly.
Zero chance rogers is back next year. Hes going to lead the jets on so they don't draft anyone, then retire before the season starts.
The New York Titanics hit a Leonard Williams iceberg and that was the beginning of the end.
Gotcha 🤣 😂 🤣 🍔 🦀
If he says hire Rex once more. Rexs teams were more undiciplined than this team believe it or not.
@georgeblanda5659 So true. Revisionist history saying how great he was. His offenses were generally bad.
JB is a fool. He exemplifies the jets demeanor, that is why they never win.
Jets and Giants both celebrating No Win November😒
Im a raiders fan so i cant throw stones at the jets because were a awful franchise as well. I think it comes down to ownership Both teams have awful owners 👋
Stop with the “wife” comments Evan, enough already
Benigno is a tiresome bore at this point.
The ✈️ forced JB to not watch any ✈️ 📺 no more
We’ll do it live!
Ironically, in another two team FAIL, the JETS probably should have kept Saleh and the giants should have fired Daboll...But, we live in "Opposite World" in NY, as far as our NFL teams are concerned, where every move is wrong...!! LOL
I thought he hit his limit last week. 😅. We'll, Joe was the one who wanted to bring in the great Aaron Rodgers.
We're on to another 5 year rebuild. Why bench Rodgers is are QB of the future on this team ? NO. I would LOVE to see Rex back here . He bleeds JETS green. If we draft a QB then we need a veteran QB starter. We always make the same mistake we draft a QB then anoint him the starter. It never works out. Lets not forget we all wanted Rodgers. It's obvious he's not the same as he was 10 years ago. We have some very good talent on this team enough to be competitive next year. Unless we can land a quality free agent QB we should start Rodgers at QB he can still sling the ball. This is just my very humble opinion. I'm 70 years old started rooting for the Jets the last year they were the Titans. I just hope I live long enough to see them make the playoffs.
I wouldn’t say everyone wanted Rodgers. Personally, I wanted Carr or Mayfield. I’ve never been a fan of taking older players. It NEVER works out. From Ronnie Lott, Art Monk, Steve Atwater, I can go on and on…
73 yds penalties in second half
Joe Biningo the prince of pessimism. The Master of disaster for whoever he is a fan of. He got Robert Salah in trouble helping him to get fired. Then Herm Edwards (ex Jet coach ) said we would be better off the Jets team if you were a fan of another team . I think as long as Joe is alive the Jets have no shot.
Robert Saleh was a moron for texting with a WFAN host
Herman Edwards if he said that is 💯
Yep...Joe Literally EXPOSED Salehs Texts on Air Like The Ahol Joe is
Yah cuz he controls the jets 🤣🤣
No Joe Namath is the one who needs to go...then the Jets win.
Look I’m no Rodgers fan but this season is 5% pn him the rest is on his teammates who have constantly let him down
I’m tired of reporting the same story
The Omens were there. A_Aron going to Egypt , Saleh saying it was unexcused absence, Breece undisclosed lower leg injury?, all the young Jets clowning on social media even though they had done zippo, Greg Z missing in preseason, JFM shipped for nothing , signing Tyron and Mike W when no one else would , over hyped by Jets Media and we all bought into it.
Every week, Joe has reached his limits and has had enough of this team. I thought he was going to retire. I've had enough of him already. He should go away now. He lost his fastball a long time ago.
Dude said jets gave him covid, damn
Rodgers was so awful on Sunday. He missed so many plays.
Trusting Woody to fix this mess is like trusting a democrat to fix nyc. Until Woody sells, this team is screwed
Spike lee on brand
Uh sam darnold is 10 and 2. He worked out. The jets didn’t work out. His career was over until he left the jets. Now hes top 5 or 6.
Maybe if the jets went to the womens MLS you guys would have a chance, take rogers too.
After nearly 50 years, reaching the end of the line with this putrid franchise
I love train wrecks. I mean...anyone that says they don't are a liar. The Jets problem is simple...the cancer of Aaron Rodgers. He has disrupted the locker room. This is what happens when an owner gives power to a grifter.
You are scared to get hit. They should've just been Stone and put a quarterback that wasn't scared to get hit a rookie quarterback that's ready mobile to win. I'm not scared to get hit. Be ready to go to war take his team in the battle and go out at the other team. 💝💝💝
The real problem is that ALL the "bad" teams in the NFL have played better lately...EXCEPT for the JETS & the giants (nyg are SOooo bad, I am using only small caps when describing them)...JETS "should be" 8 - 4 AT WORST...But, NO, they are a complete FAIL...as opposed to the giants, who are just TERRIBLE
It's crazy how much Joe loves Rodgers. I think due to Joe's age, his need for a winner is so intense it's crazy and he feels Rodgers has a better chance to quickly change things
I don't think Joe is wrong about wanting Rodgers to start for the rest of the season. There isn't anything to gain from benching him and it would only add more fuel to the dumpster fire drama.
Rodgers is done Father Time is undefeated unless your name is Brady
@@roccoa6818 Got Brady ass too. Did you not watch his final season? Chuck and duck
@@VermHat 🤣🤣🤣Are you serious? Rodgers is responsible for the fuel, the dumpster, the match, and the drama
@@roccoa6818 He isn't coming back, but let him finish this season out and likely his career without total humiliation.
