I didn't know there was a D750 cult. I just sold mine after a year of using it. I loved it. But I just got the Z6II literally today, and I'm happy with it. The D750 is a beast though. I just recommended it to someone.

Nice~! I agree. I appreciate the fact I can push out the shadows and retain the colors. I didnt even notice how good it was until these 2 Dslr I reviewed ( D750, D810). Cheers~!
The only thing that I would chose a mirrorless over a dslr is electronic shutter…. It is quite a feature. Plus Z lenses gives you that sharpness that dslr just doesn’t deliver somehow…. If you have a d750 dont sell it. Its a gem. But if you need to sell it to buy mirrorless by all means do it. 😁
Love this review! You got right down to the point and that's what we are looking for when we're looking at comparison videos. Your work is much appreciated here my friend!
Thanks for the comparison. Decided to get a D750 as there are quite a bit of hidden cost involved (CF express card to run dual slots and the FTZ adapter). Also at the current pricing of 1 Z6 II I can get 2 D750 for the price of 1 Z6 II + the above mentioned stuff.
I have both a D750 and a Z6ii. The z6ii is just a league of it own. Planning to sell my d750 and get either another z6ii or z5. The eye af is just a gamechanger for me!
Great photographers use they gear... Bad photographers are buying new gear… Most amazing and famous shots in the world were made before 50 years or more… Say, was the gear bad then? If a D750 was great 10 years ago, its just the same great today. World hasn’t changed, sky is still blue, birds have wings, mountains are tall… Marketing changed 😜 You need the latest, If not, you are left out 😉
Good comparison video of the two camera bodies. The D750, in my opinion, is still a very popular camera(even stepping into 2022); hence the new/used market cost. I have the D780 and I like that it carries some mirrorless features of the Z6. Would you consider making a comparison video of the Nikon D780 and Z6 II?
Thanks for the video! I have a D750 and needed a 2nd body, bought the Z6ii. I found myself leaning towards the Z6ii for weddings because it performed faster, but am still very happy with both given that 6 year difference.
Oh yea, the eye tracking is crazy nice on the mirrorless. Dslr , longer battery life and handles nice. I have about 2 dslr. I cant let them go just yet~!
I'm considering this exact upgrade right now so I'm glad this video exists! I've been told that the autofocus on the Z6ii is lacking though? I hope they come out with a Z6iii soon.
I own a D750, got it back in 2018 and it was my first camera. Got it for astrophotography, and slowly started doing landscape and family photos. I've accumulated some decent glass as well. I would love to upgrade, but i'm not in a hurry because i'm just a hobbyist. Waiting for the things to unravel with the Z9 and maybe some of the new technology trickles down into new Z bodies (Z8?). Will probably wait for Z6III or something. Cheers.
I've come to the conclusion that the purple in the D750 shots is likely light leak that gets in the viewfinder when you flip the screen up. You have to cover the viewfinder.
Also D750 is also discontinued and soon wont be serviceable by Nikon. Will need to go to a 3rd party that will charge normally 20% more than usual. That is if they have enough parts to fix the unit. Good luck. I had to sell off my D4 and D800 because they wont repair it no longer. Good luck.
This test could be really useful if you got the testing more close to real life usage. With a mood to help you get better tests in the future, I would go test the raising exposure or even better raise shadows and lower highlights on the first images from the forest. There we could see how good shadows get bright and usable. On the test for high iso i would do that with an image of a living room instead of a white statue in front of white bg which helps hide the start of artifacts in iso800. A scene of low light in a living room would show immediately the benefits of the new sensor, if there are any. After all your tests I got the information that new sensor is good when you want to raise 5 steps an image underexposed which is something you never do really. I hope i dont upset you much, I just got the time to write these so maybe I can help a bit. I am now going to change maybe to z6 II after 5 years of working with d750 and more than 150K mostly studio images.
I think they got 1 more year left before they discontinue the D750 support / repair/shutter repair by Nikon. They did that with my D4 and D810. It suck but good luck.
Still using me D750 for both stills and video. Its just so easy to use and the battery lasts forever. I actually like the flat profile 1080p it looks filmic for online content creation.
Its still a popular system as of today. Its on backorder which is crazy to see. I remember when it was first launch, it was $2300. Wild how times has change.
@theCameraVille thanks for the reply, I really am making a considered purchase, owning a good camera, the cost is a real luxury I must rationalise, can you please give me some more information on how it ' depends', or some feedback on how to go about having good colour rendition in recovered shadows that arent purple. It seems like it's possible, it's an old camera now, I can't find anything. The main reason yo purchase is for lowlight work. Thanks in advance.
I have a 750 use it for landscape pics and astrophotography. Battery life is unmatched. And several hundred lenses are available. Speaking of lenses which lenses did you use for the test? For wild life I'd take a 850 vs the z6ii
I dont currently own the Z6iii for this issue. Even my R5iii has a lot of issue with the DR. Its a drag. Dont think its worth it because your losing DR and color science
I have the d750 and am considering whether it's worth upgrading to the z6ii for videos. One thing that worries me is the compatibility of flash. I have the sb800 and sb600 and like to use the wireless flash trigger built-in to the d750. It seems like with z6ii we'll have to get a tonne of accessories
I bought the D750 in January of 2023, i took my BEST images eith it. It gave me a great year for my photography, but i sold it back in January of 2024 (the year of this post), and upgraded to the Z6II. I could not be happier and im looking forward to what i can do eith it.
Im on a similar boat. I have a Nikon ZF and some reason Im having a hard time letting got the Z6ii. So odd. I dont need 2 24 mp camera but I want to keep booth. Z6ii is really good and served me well for the last 3 years. Glad you are enjoying it~!
Thanks for the comparison, I can say that the d610 has a slightly better sensor than the d750, there is no purple in the processing when raising the exposure by 5 stops.
@@castieldiallo2945 damn so old school classics baby~!. I remember when that D7000 came to my door. whew. time flies. My first camera was in 2005, D70s. ( I hope im not showing my age lol ) cheers
This was a good comparison for the sensor but there's a lot more to the z6 II than just the sensor. I had a d750 until it had an accident. I upgraded to the z6 II at the first of the year. The focus is so much better on the z6 II. I hardly miss any shots. No more focus and recompose. It's also a great camera for astrophotography. The EVF blackout is annoying but maybe it can be fixed with a firmware update? The battery life is fine so that's not much of an issue. Even if you only used a single focus point, the fact that you have the whole screen instead of the middle of the screen to move the focus point around, makes the z6 II a better choice. You didn't even bring up the lenses. One of the advantages of the z mount is that it allows them to design the lenses better. You get sharper corners with the z glass than the older f glass. There's very little focus breathing. This is really big if you use it for video or if you focus stack your images. The advantages of the z6 II are greater than that of the d750. There will be more firmware updates that will take this camera to higher levels.
Focus recompose ! I havent done that in a long time. We might be spoiled haha. Astrophotography will greatly benefit from the BSI. I mentioned about the blackout in my other videos ( some of the die hard fans dislike it when I talk about the black out.) but if they can fix the black out, I will sell my D500 away . I think around 8:38 I briefly touch on the Z glass. I dont have a full catalog just yet on the Z lens. I think once I hit over 10 videos of Z glass, I can really pull that point out more. They are sharp so far but pricy but used market not so bad now than before.
@@theCameraVille imagine if they make a baby z9 in aspc to replace the d500. It wouldn't have the 8k video and maybe not even 30 fps but 20 fps would be fine. I don't even need a camera like that but I would probably buy it.
What about focusing in dark places like clubs, or (wedding) parties? I still use my d750 with focus assist light from on camera flash with no problems. I'm considering the upgrade from d750, but I'm worried about focus.
@@fanzzzi the focus in low light is supposed to be better with the z6 II but I haven't had much chance to use it. Hudson Henry has a video on how well the z6 II and z7 II perform in low light for astrophotography. He said you can hand hold focus on a bright star or planet using the auto focus. But you have to have the settings right for that. Event and wedding photography shouldn't be that dark.
My mum has a D5200, and I have a D3300 and a D750. All three of these cameras came out 2013 to 2014 and all have the issue you describe where colours are shifted at high ISO. It's all in the red channel. If you pull back the red channel and denoise they all produce decent 6x4s.
Great simple factual and to the points. Don't know why I watched this as am a happy long time user of D750 and at 77 years of age the camera may just see me thru 😀, but good to see it seems to perform, with its own quirks, in the the same race as more modern technology. As committed to glass as I am it would be an expensive job for me to change. But nonetheless enjoyed your approach to the comparison, one of the best 👍
to go mirrorless with the Z6, if you compare weights for shooting f mount lenses on the Z6 you of course will need the adapter. how much weight does that than add to the weight comparisons ??
IF you don't want to buy all of the Z glass, then stick with the tried and true glass foro the D750. The magnesium and carbon fiber body of the D750 is an added bonus. I've shot mirrorless for over 10 years and I use both.. I don't like the Z cameras from Nikon bc they look really cheap!
Yup, I saw some on Ebay the other day for $700/$800. I think its safe to say Nikon has a range of camera prices that can fit in most peoples budget. Used Z6II is around $1500.
@@theCameraVille there's no way you can find a deal for the z6ii for 1500 brother at this time and date. In a year from now this will change obviously. Great video tho really enjoy these comparisons you make 👌 Subbed from the one you did with the d810
I did a D500 vs Z50 and it was such a similar image that I shelf the review😂🤦♂️. Looking at the sensor/ processor, it is in fact identical to Z6ii, so yes it will be the same or a hair difference as I saw in the D500 vs Dz50. So small that it you have to zoom in 300% to really see a tiny color shift.
I've borrowed a Nikon d750 for astrophotography a couple of times and enjoyed it a lot. But now I want a camera I can call my own, the Nikon Z6II looks to be perfect for me lol
The down side currently is that the d750 is going to hit that 10 year mark and its a system that's been discontinued. They will soon cut off the service and repair on that model as they did to my D800, D70s, and D4. They wont repair them anymore. That is the long road ahead so be aware of this.
@@stratonarrow They will throw that lips service “ well its a hard to get part , and thats why it cost more than Nikon use to charge” This is if they still make that part which is also another maybe. I been through that a few times. Rollercoaster. You end up having to ship it to some international house because they have the part you need.
I bought my used D750 with 2k click for $550 vs $2,000 for the Z6II. I saw very little advantage to the Z in terms of image and nothing that can't be fixed in post. The extra FPS is nice, though.
Funny, I sold my used Z6ii at $850 used Funny, Nikon store has Z6ii at $1,600 New Funny, how you compare a used D750 to a New Z6ii to the 2020 price tag when we are now in 2025. Funny, how you dont realize the difference between Z mount and the F mount. Funny...
I liked your video. Concise and to the point. I have D750 at the moment, but don't use it much now. Something to think about.... Keep up the good work 😊
@@theCameraVille continuous af when you pan the camera against an object like a flying bird, it often misses and also the fps reduces to 5.5 or something
Yes but getting it fix will be expensive. Its like buying a used car, its cheap but expensive to maintain. D750 isnt even supported by Nikon anymore. So once it breaks, good luck. 3rd party is expensive. Same thing happened to my D810,D4
Was thinking of selling my D750.... I think I’ll keep it now. What i would like to know is how will the Tamron 70-200 G2 lens work with the FTZ mounted to a Z6ii... since I purchased the lens yesterday. Lmao! Thanks for the video!!!!
You're in my shoes now. Been using Tamron 70-200 G2 on D750 since 2018 and I love it, it made all my other lenses collect dust... I shoot portraits, animals, car show evets, etc. I would love to jump to mirrorless world, but photography is only a hobby, so not sure if I want to part with a lot of money and my beloved Tamron 70-200... another reason to stick with D750 is lens prices, you have to pay almost double for same/similar lens.. not sure small performance upgrade can justify that?
@@rcerikas been loving the 70-200 G2! Still am shooting with that lens and the D750. No reason to change since I’ve taken maybe a hundred photos since a year ago. 😁
Interesting 6:47 you show the z6ii maintaining color accuracy, while the 750 goes purple.. Meanwhile in your Z7II vs Z6II video, it shows the 6 going purple while the 7 keeps color accuracy. Just a suggestion for these dynamic range tests. It would be much more 'real world' to show you showing shots underexposed by 1/2/3 stops (and then brightening w exposure slider to get proper exposure) You could also do a run down of overexposure and either pulling down exp slider, or pulling down 'highlights' or 'whites' The whole "let's take a nearly black frame and increase the exposure by 5 stops" is basically a useless test for 99% of photographers. I'm a professional and I really wanted to see what it was like when you slightly adjusted files to show DR.. not increasing exposure by 5 stops.. Other than that.. your vids are pretty good!!
Oh yea I will include that in the video on the over exposing portion. That will be interesting to see in future videos. Thanks for the heads up ~! Through out the journey in making these videos, I noticed folks want to see the ultimate conclusion just to keep their attention tuned in. I used to make incremental adjustment and folks would tune out and also the video gets fairly long. I'm slowly crafting each video accordingly so I will take your suggestions no prob~! As for the Z6 vs Z7, I had to push it to a point where something breaks in the shadow. To some maybe pointless to others that's what they want to see right off the bat. When I used to do Pentax reviews, my videos per comparison was 40 mins long , 3 video for 1 test LOL. thanks for your input cheers~!
@@theCameraVille And I hope you know I'm not being negative, you've got some good content and I know it takes a lot of time to do it right. I hear you, it can be a tough line to walk between keeping it short, and keeping it detailed. I brought up my thoughts, because I do think most people that will come to your videos, are people who will want to see the true differences between the cameras in real world situations!! Another reason I bring up the highlights/shadows sliders tests is this.. My first pro camera was a D700. Beautiful files, snappy AF.. It was great for highlight recovery..not so much for shadows.. then I went to a D810 and it was the complete opposite.. so it slightly changed the way I shot from there on out.
The Z6ii lost the ability to set shutter speed using the rear command dial in all modes including S and M. I can change the shutter speed using the front command dial in S and M modes by inverting the main/sub command dials in the custom control settings. I can also change the shutter speeds in S and M modes using the touch screen. Therefore, the problem appears to be exclusively related to the back command disk. I have reset the camera to default settings to make sure that the menu setting is not the problem. The camera firmware has been updated to version 1.30. The camera was purchased new earlier this year. I was able to set the shutter speed using the rear command dial before updating the firmware. Has anyone come across this problem? I am trying to determine if it is a mechanical issue or a firmware update related issue. I googled the issue to see if it was related to the recent firmware update to version 1.30 and didn't see any posts about the update
Raising shadows with maintaining better color than D750, makes the Z6ii images look better and easier to work with. Image detail is about the same. The BSI sensor of Z6ii, which also there is a BSI in the new hybrid D780 (sensor of Z6), this BSI sensor is a bit brighter and retains better color and maybe more detail when raising shadows so better for post production. Thank you for showing us and proving the better image quality of a BSI sensor. Those Z lenses a lot of people are staying are very sharp.
Yup ! No problem Adrian. I learned something myself when doing the test. Very interesting. The Z is very sharp. I will do more reviews on the Z lenses down the road.
Pretty impressed to see that at normal usage aka base ISO with exposure zeroed the RAWs look almost identical, in some previews i saw stark differences from both but i guess that's with video and DR-pumped JPGs. Now i'm curious about a comparison vs. D4/D700 lol, supposedly the most famous sensors Nikon had in the DSLR days.
My brother still shoot his D4. I beg him to get rid of it. He says no, my baby lol. I would be interested to see a D700 action too. Ill note that down.
The D750 is a very good camera but the Z6 /Z6II are clear improvements and handle better . The lag on the Z6II is minimal and has a higher shutter speed limit than the D750. No way a D750 is worth $1600 plus these days. I have the Z6II for paid work with a Z5 for backup and I prefer my “lowly Z5 “ to the D750 , but that’s for my user case of Portraits , family portraits and real estate work.
The biggest improvement of the Z system vs the glorious Nikon DSLRs does not come from advancements in sensor technology, but rather from the new flange which allowed Nikon to design superior lenses, compared to their F mount counterparts. Therefore IMHO it does not make sense using an adapted 50 1.8G on the Z6ii. It would have been interesting to see the difference with a Z50 1.8S, which is said to be a vast improvement compared to G version, mounted on the mirrorless so that we could appreciate the differences between the two systems.
I don't think comparing cameras of two different generations and technology is fare. D750 dominated the market in its time. I still love D750. Real manly camera.
I remember when the D750 was released ($2,300). The D750 was priced high and all of us were using D610/D600. Table has turned. It is totally not fair to see Nikon charging far less for the Z6II($2000) during an inflation/chip shortage period. Now does that sounds like a more fair comparison. . :D
Yes, but if the shutter goes out, $200 for a third party replacement and $400-$500 repair service. Thats just the shutter, any othet repair, good luck.
Excellent review my dude. Ive mentioned the benefits of BSI to photographers comparing these two cameras and I’ve been wanting to make this video but haven’t been able to get my hands on a D750 yet. Great work.
Good comparison..The newer does better. But...I am a outdoor photographer, landscape. Tripod used...No threat of landscapes doing 60 mph. I`ve no use for video. If I want video...I'll get a video cam..I'm an old film user, loved slide film. I would gladly give up digital and rush back to color slide..
I've just bought the Z6ii and am quite disappointed with it. I have Vs 1.3 firmware, but the autofocus is a real problem. I shoot street and fast moving events (dancing girls, Indian festivals, marching bands), and the wretched AFC has so many problems. I'm sticking with my Fuji X-T3's because I just don't miss any images with them. With similar focal length lenses on the Nikon, if there is any kind of strong back-lighting, the autofocus just cannot cope. It starts jumping around and goes here and there, instead of on my subject. I've tried all the different boxes and settings, but it does not make much difference. I was shocked because everybody bags out Fuji cameras for their 'terrible autofocus', so I thought the Nikon would nail my moving subjects. Unless they bring out another firmware update to fix this shortly, this will be going on the market to get sold off.
I sold my X-t3 because it over heats all the time. I cant deal with it. You can only shoot some video with photo so I gave up on it. I even did measure temp reads on it. It was hot as 140F. @@theCameraVille Thanks dude for getting back. I watched your video, and yes for video seems the Nikon is a bit better than Canon. However, I shoot zero video (hence no problem with my X-T3's), and in stills, I still find the Z6ii doesn't focus well into strong back lighting. I'm sitting on it a while and seeing if there is a firmware update (Z7 got one today). If it fixes it, I'll hang onto it along with my Fuji's (Nikon's images are nice). If the autofocus on the Nikon stays the same - it will get sold off.
@@skyrunr Thanks for the reply. I wrote that when I first got the Z6ii. I've taken a lot of photos since then and tried different settings. It's not so bad now - kind of on par with my X-T3. "Holly crap" says it all! Great comparison. Not really sure its fair to compare the Z's 14fps to the D's 5.5 fps without explaining the limitations on the Z.
I did actually. Z will give you black out and lag so you will pray and spray. 9:12 , but last time I explain this, the users wasnt happy so I kept it short. Basically you will need to over predict your shots because of the lag in the camera. th-cam.com/video/1l0GNnXD53I/w-d-xo.html I had maybe 4 more videos connected to that but turns out, people dont want to hear it lol.
Did you notice any difference when using the F mount lenses on the Z6ii? Or did you buy native z lenses for it?
I'm considering this exact upgrade right now so I'm glad this video exists! I've been told that the autofocus on the Z6ii is lacking though? I hope they come out with a Z6iii soon.
If you get on instagram, you can see z6ii beats out the Z9. Also look for Z6ii autofocus test in my channel vs Canon r6. You will see.
Cheers.
Yup, I am ready for some of that trickle down magic. Once they fix t he black out and lag, I will be no more dslr. I just have 1 left.
I've come to the conclusion that the purple in the D750 shots is likely light leak that gets in the viewfinder when you flip the screen up. You have to cover the viewfinder.
How
Sorry if i didnt hear it but what makes the 750 more durable?
rewatch , you will find out boss~! You got this.
I am a D750 shooter. Do a lot of night shots. Yes the D 750 does exhibit some purle tone. Easily fixed with software. Not an issue.
Good luck.
Could you tell me how to fix it by lightroom or photoshop. Thank you
This test could be really useful if you got the testing more close to real life usage.
Very good review! Do you think that, in low lights condition, the Z6 ii does a better job than a D780? Thanks
I cant tell you this info or I cant make my video in the future 😂😂. I know the answer.
@@theCameraVille can't wait. A Focus performance of d750/d780 in low light vs z6II z7II....Even using just single point focus too.
My first was the D750 and my second is the Z7II . Both are still in my camera bag.
Good comparison. Is there way in post production to remove the purple hue to the recovered shadows of d750?
depends🥺
@theCameraVille thanks for the reply, I really am making a considered purchase, owning a good camera, the cost is a real luxury I must rationalise, can you please give me some more information on how it ' depends', or some feedback on how to go about having good colour rendition in recovered shadows that arent purple. It seems like it's possible, it's an old camera now, I can't find anything. The main reason yo purchase is for lowlight work. Thanks in advance.
Very interesting comparison. Unfortunately, you forgot to mention that the z6 II can't autofocus AF and AF-D lenses, wich some of us still use ...
If you follow the channel there is an adapter for it❤️❤️🫠. You now gotta dig.
I have a 750 use it for landscape pics and astrophotography. Battery life is unmatched. And several hundred lenses are available. Speaking of lenses which lenses did you use for the test? For wild life I'd take a 850 vs the z6ii
Z lens will match and top it over. That will be in the next series in spring / summer 2022. Stay tune
Would love to see a Nikon D750 VS Nikon Z6III as I'm about to finally drop my d750 and switch but that dynamic range problem has me worried.
I would wait for the Z6iii. That might be the most robust version of the Z6 models. Should be announced pretty soon. My guess would be in May.
D610 is the old classic! Was my ex astro camera .
@@castieldiallo2945 This was years ago. I also had D7000 those days and then D7100. Damn Good ol days.
@@castieldiallo2945 damn so old school classics baby~!. I remember when that D7000 came to my door. whew. time flies. My first camera was in 2005, D70s. ( I hope im not showing my age lol ) cheers
@@castieldiallo2945 Well I'm sure, especially when processing photos! The d750 is generally a better camera but the sensor is a bit worse!
@@fanzzzi That is a loaded question since it all depends on your rig. Are you using Z mount lenses or Dslr mount lenses on to the Z6II. Varies.
My mum has a D5200, and I have a D3300 and a D750. All three of these cameras came out 2013 to 2014 and all have the issue you describe where colours are shifted at high ISO. It's all in the red channel. If you pull back the red channel and denoise they all produce decent 6x4s.
This is useful info🫡🫡🫡
Great simple factual and to the points. Don't know why I watched this as am a happy long time user of D750 and at 77 years of age the camera may just see me thru 😀, but good to see it seems to perform, with its own quirks, in the the same race as more modern technology. As committed to glass as I am it would be an expensive job for me to change.
But nonetheless enjoyed your approach to the comparison, one of the best 👍
Tony much appreciated ~!! Thank you for stopping by.
Can you do a comparison between the Nikon Z6ii and Nikon D780
That is a model that I rarely hear people talk about. Very interesting possibility.
@@theCameraVille Most definitely is indeed and you could do a comparison with the Nikon D5600
Am I right in saying that the z5 would have the purple shadows because it doesn’t have a bsi sensor?
There isnt a Z5 in this video.
is it okay d750 for wedding photography?
Yes, 100% Unless your client is asking for video work then maybe Z6ii.
Nikon Z6ii is a great camera, I honestly don't see a better camera on the market.
to go mirrorless with the Z6, if you compare weights for shooting f mount lenses on the Z6 you of course will need the adapter. how much weight does that than add to the weight comparisons ??
Awesome point

IF you don't want to buy all of the Z glass, then stick with the tried and true glass foro the D750. The magnesium and carbon fiber body of the D750 is an added bonus. I've shot mirrorless for over 10 years and I use both.. I don't like the Z cameras from Nikon bc they look really cheap!
8:40 , I do touch ion this a little.
Hows the autofocus speed and accuracy with the FTZ ii adapter?
It feels very native. Couldnt tell a big difference. I also own the 180-600. Feels the same
You can get a D750 for around 600 euros tho. If someone does only photography that camera is a STEAL

You may not have autofocus if you try to use your old F mount lenses with the milc. If you don't want to replace your lens park it matters.
I think you should have compared D780 vs Z6ii, no?
I did a D500 vs Z50 and it was such a similar image that I shelf the review😂🤦♂️.
Looking at the sensor/ processor, it is in fact identical to Z6ii, so yes it will be the same or a hair difference as I saw in the D500 vs Dz50. So small that it you have to zoom in 300% to really see a tiny color shift.
I've borrowed a Nikon d750 for astrophotography a couple of times and enjoyed it a lot. But now I want a camera I can call my own, the Nikon Z6II looks to be perfect for me lol
Tons of dynamic range in that camera. In fact I am comparing z6ii vs R3 behind the scene. So stay tune.
Very glad I bought my D750 2 years ago in awesome shape for even cheaper than we saw here!
The down side currently is that the d750 is going to hit that 10 year mark and its a system that's been discontinued. They will soon cut off the service and repair on that model as they did to my D800, D70s, and D4. They wont repair them anymore. That is the long road ahead so be aware of this.
@@theCameraVille true, and I appreciate the reply! Not super worried. Just because Nikon won't service it doesn't mean that others won't.
@@stratonarrow They will throw that lips service “ well its a hard to get part , and thats why it cost more than Nikon use to charge” This is if they still make that part which is also another maybe. I bought my used D750 with 2k click for $550 vs $2,000 for the Z6II. I saw very little advantage to the Z in terms of image and nothing that can't be fixed in post. The extra FPS is nice, though.
Funny, I sold my used Z6ii at $850 used
Funny, Nikon store has Z6ii at $1,600 New

Yes but getting it fix will be expensive. Its like buying a used car, its cheap but expensive to maintain. D750 isnt even supported by Nikon anymore. So once it breaks, good luck. 3rd party is expensive. Same thing happened to my D810,D4

Was thinking of selling my D750.... I think I’ll keep it now. What i would like to know is how will the Tamron 70-200 G2 lens work with the FTZ mounted to a Z6ii... since I purchased the lens yesterday. Lmao! Thanks for the video!!!!
Not a problem~!
The D780 probably levels out the field between DSLR and motionless. Same sensor as the z6
Yup. Same expeed and bsi. Should be Identical or near as this test was very close.
It would be much more 'real world' to show you showing shots underexposed by 1/2/3 stops (and then brightening w exposure slider to get proper exposure) You could also do a run down of overexposure and either pulling down exp slider, or pulling down 'highlights' or 'whites'
The whole "let's take a nearly black frame and increase the exposure by 5 stops" is basically a useless test for 99% of photographers.
When I used to do Pentax reviews, my videos per comparison was 40 mins long , 3 video for 1 test LOL.
thanks for your input
cheers~!

And I hope you know I'm not being negative, you've got some good content and I know it takes a lot of time to do it right.
It was great for highlight recovery..not so much for shadows.. then I went to a D810 and it was the complete opposite.. so it slightly changed the way I shot from there on out.
second hand D750 is that worth a new guy try to learn photographing
I know that I'm late to the party, but it is very relevant
to me in the used market, so thank you for doing this.
I can change my shutter with back dial . This is not a problem. You might have something set wrong maybe.
What about d780 vs z6ii?
Its the identical clone.
Excellent thank you!
You're very welcome!
Still kept my D750 for low light focus
They are both great🤝
Raising shadows with maintaining better color than D750, makes the Z6ii images look better and easier to work with.
There's basically next to nothing in it IQ wise... pretty disappointing for 2 generations of tech improvement
@@godsakes This is using F mount lens. When you slap on a Z glass, very different.

Just don’t combo a Z6/Z6ii and any fixed F4 Z lens and shooting above ISO 1600 in dim lit places.. iso noise is really annoying..
Second hand D750 is only worth about $700, sad to say. Is the difference worth a lot of $$$...?

Now does that sounds like a more fair comparison. . :D

Their lens arent that great. I tested a few on the channel.

That A7IV may take some time. I have a back order on several gear and its been over 6 weeks -_-. One of my friend is on month 3 for a lens. Things arent releasing on time these days. Stay tune.
A better comparison is to compare the D780 at 12 fps in electronic live view vs. Z6ii at 14fps. (D780 has a Z6 sensor inside but only one processor while Z6ii has 2 processors).
@@adrianvanleeuwen That would be interesting. Seems like the world has forgotten about the D780.
@@skyrunr The glass is what is keeping me in the Nikon camp. Still hanging on to my D500, D7200 combo, but I want to update. I don't like the big body on the Z9, so I may replace the D7200 with Zii. Can't decide between the 6ii or 7ii. Can't get a good handle on how much better the low light performance of the 6ii really is. I see the numbers, but can't tell how that relates to everyday shooting.
My second hand d750 only cost me 450USD
Sounds like a really rough condition.
Yo estoy muy contento con mi D750, compré una Z6ll y no me gustó, mejor la regrese
But fixing d750 will be a problem! You will pay more 🤦♂️
As it is shown in the video - if the D750 has the same image quality as the Z6II - I will never get the newer camera for twice or third the price - and even the thing with lens-adapters ... D750 was purplish - WTF - Lightroom, Photoshop, Corel Paintshop Pro, Capture One - all of these will make it right, saving you at least $1000 ...
Yes most if the image quality was more or less the same. If you need that eye tracking and compact size then yes Z is a great option but otherwise its more or less the same.
It was on back order because it’s an old camera lol.
😂😂😂
You forgot to compare sharpness Z6ii produces lot sharper images
………. that would be a lens review
erm, F lens on both cameras…how about using Z, what it’s made to use? Now compare…see no point in going Z unless you’re using Z lenses.
That is for lens review. This is not a lens review. The only thing you will be getting is sharper image. We are looking for the sensor output which is why we are using same glass.
Well no body is going to under expose by that much. So for image quality nothing has changed.
Sadly you dont speak for everyone so seems like your contradicting yourself. Good luck buddy
@@theCameraVille it is like doing a 50,000 iso comparison and saying they z6ii is better at 50,000 iso. Who is going to be shooting at that iso. That was my point, sorry you missed that.
@@52701970 Yea , mind your own business on what others are taking photos of. Thinking everyone takes photos like you. Look at yourself in the mirror diva. Its 2024
d750 !!!! my nikon

There's pretty much no real world difference at all, and certainly not 2 grand's worth. I'll wait, and pick up a used Z6II
If you had the same exposure and lens, it would be more or less the same. If you are pushing dynamic range, Z6II will be better. It depends on each person and their application.
