    I bought this for 40 dollars on Amazon. Was it worth it? I don't think so. It's a cool concept, but when they release a version that can charge the internal battery AND your device at the same time (when connected to a wall outlet), then hell freaking yeah. I'll buy more!!

    It charges the internal battery so much faster, has twice the internal battery capacity, has a BUILT IN CABLE, and doesn’t block the other AC outlet.

      Dude, that's literally the top dog right now. It's small, it's super freaking fast, charges fast, and can fully charge your phone AT LEAST once. I can't scream it loud enough. The 10K PD Redux 25 Watt is the best 10k charger right now. th-cam.com/video/w3IlpUz4tLs/w-d-xo.html

    Nice review thank you! I just got mine today, a bit bummed that it depleted so fast. Trying it again. I'm running an iPhone 14 Pro Max w a large battery. I initially tried charing my iPad Pro 12.9", dumb move. But I"m going to charge my iPhone by my bed, which is the only place I don't have a charger. Btw, don't feel bad about your power bank obsession, I have a thing for keyboards, I have 15 of them, mechanicals, chicklet's, ergo, small ones, large ones. I had to stop when my wife started complaining.

    Anker semi-recently released the 521 Hybrid powerbank. It has the same 20W output and 5,000mAh battery capacity as the 511 you reviewed, but in wall charger mode, it’s a 45W output, capable of laptop charging. Oh, and it has 2 USB-C ports. Anker also claims the charger can recharge the internal batteries while charging connected devices, and that it retains 90% battery health after 500 charge cycles.

      Most phones are sub 30watts with some exceptions. You still need a 30 watt output for an iPhone 14 Pro Max to be charged at full tilt. But my battery life is very good so again no battery bank needed

    Two tap mode? Light turns green? What does that do?

    • @wwjoshdew
      @wwjoshdew  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a low power mode. Meant for charging ear buds, game controllers, and other low powered items. Basically it won’t power off the battery bank automatically. Like once your phone is full, it stays at like 1 or two watts and the power bank automatically turns off. It’s normal for earbuds, smart watches, and game controllers to charge at that speed.

    Random question.....but how do you dispose of old tech with old batteries? Like an old battery bank that doesn't work anymore, or an old Samsung phone with a expanded battery, or just lithium batteries in general. I kind of don't want to throw the tech and batteries away, because I heard you should never dispose of batteries that way. So do you have any tips on what to do with old batteries and old tech with batteries in them??
