I've seen pictures of guys using MP40's in the Libyan civil war, Syrian civil war and various conflicts in north africa. MP40 is still being used to shoot at people in the present day. Just think in 1941 German troops were fighting their way across north africa, and some of those soldiers guns are still there today being used to fight in wars in countries that didn't even exist when the guns arrived in the region.
