    Man I wish my gym can have sparring days like this. We're encouraged to go hard enough to get the reaction you want to set up the next attack, but we end up going harder than needed lol.

    • @SiamBoxing

      a lot do that to be honest,

  • @jirasakmalaengpoothong8663

    I really like it. The sparring partners didn't hit hard to risk injury but rather focus on techniques they gonna need in real fight.

    • @SiamBoxing
      @SiamBoxing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes i like that too, a lot of people do like this style it is very effective style in Thailand however they do also compete quite often. here can be a mix of the technical light sparring and some like to have some harder sparring maybe once a week.

      its all respect amongst one another. thanks for watching

  • @abccba1971
    @abccba1971 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Very interesting. I admire their ability to keep the intensity within controlled boundaries. Usually, sparring turns into spikes of all-out fights out of sheer ego. Here they're only playing at 70% intensity without ever trying to annihilate the opponent.

    • @SiamBoxing
      @SiamBoxing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      the reason for that is probably the thai influence they have, they have trained in thailand and embraced the ways they spar. a lot of people like the playing style but equally some like to go harder i think it depends a lot on how you was coached. good controlled sparring is always good for the most part. thanks for watching bro

    Wow, this is awesome. I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way, but I rarely see non-Thai fighters using such restraint and playfulness in their sparring.
    Usually it's only full contact hard sparring, which I guess is okay for pro fighters who are good enough to make a living out of it (a very small percentage), but it's unnecessary brain damage for everyone else. I'm always okay with heavy leg kicks and heavy body strikes, but going heavy on the head all the time in every single session is usually just dumb people making themselves even dumber (once again I understand it's a different story if you're fighting for Glory; even still I don't think it's a good idea, but at that level an athlete can train however he and his coach want to).
    I love the exaggerated facial expressions too. In some of those exchanges, the facial expression and vocalizations say "this is my first Lumpinee Stadium fight and if I lose I'll never have a shot again", but the actual punches and kicks say "I'm playing with a soft kitten".
