Drag Racing Legend Rickie Smith Makes First Top Fuel Pass In Scott Palmer's Dragster

Tonight at the PDRA Pro Stars event at Virginia Motorsports Park history was made when Pro Mod legend, Rickie Smith made his first-ever pass in a Top Fuel Dragster owned by fan-favorite Scott Palmer.
Smith helped Palmer get his Pro Modified car ready for the Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod, and stuck to his word of paying him back by letting Rickie take a lick in his 11,000 horsepower Top Fuel Dragster.

I remember being at work on Kirby Rd in King during the late 80s early 90s doing body and paint repair while the metal building would seem to vibrate when they would test a engine. The large roll up doors to the shop I worked at would be open and you could hear and almost feel it in the air. It was AWESOME!
