Good, god... Just bought a used Euclidean Circles V2 with the switch expander. I was considering tie Tiptop drum modules with the MixZ, but for 1 voice less, that actually costs more and takes up more hp, while this has the added value of the filter and fx. Now of course, the firmware gives even more options. I was previously holding off since it would be my single most expensive module yet, but it looks worth it. I just got one of these yesterday night and for life of me i cant seem to get the numbered blinks to occur when im selecting diff effects. I'am on the stock firmware btw, not Darkwave. So in the manual it says that there are 1, 2, 3, blinks that will happen when you tap through the diff effects. Your video here just confirms that they actually do happen! But again, im not updated to darkwave. But i *think i recall in your other blck_noir video,,,,,when you were going through the diff effects,,,, the blinks also were not happening! Do you remember? Can you confirm this? Do i need to update to Darkwarve in order for the 'blinks' to work? Sorry for the long winded question. Kind Regards.
Have you noticed constant noise coming from the unit even when it is not playing? Trying to determine if mine is defective or if this is just what one needs to expect.
I think I know what might be going on. From the manual: "Warning: module uses choke coil inductors in sound generation. You may see those coils from the backside of the module. To avoid possible noise hums, don't place the module close to a power supply transformer or DC-DC power modules in your case."
Seems nice, but only for smaller racks I guess. There are so many functions behind shortcuts, that you really need to know the manual in and out. Because of that, it‘s not for someone like me, who just have time for 2 or 3 sessions a week, because I like to play, not to read.
I understand different approaches but I can't see I agree with that. You set up whether you want aux in through the FX or not. Then just leave it and it remembers it. Then you just hold tap for a second to get secondary FX functions if you want to change those, but again you won't have to use those in lots of situations. Generally in eurorack I think people are denying themselves a lot of power behind a button press or two because they think it means learning a manual. It's really not the case in experience. Beauty of the format is that we can approach it and do as we please though :)
agreed. my eyes glaze over as soon as I hear 'secondary function'. life's too short to menu dive. shame because this is one of the yummiest sounding drum modules

I don't do drums in eurorack but man this thing looks great, I think I'm going to grab the Grand Terminal for sure
Grand Terminal is great, you can add this firmware to that if you want to for these FX.
