I’ve done learned if the water is low and cold and I find specks 12-13” don’t leave to go look for bigger fish. That C falling is saying you wouldn’t had a tough day if you stayed in the Violet canal. Just playing but good to know they have some nice bass in that canal I do love catching bass on a bad ugly day when I know I will struggle now I know I won’t have to run to Delacroix for a quick trip. We do get on a good frog bite early close to the launch mostly small fish but it’s always fun with topwaters
I saw a bass yesterday at the weigh in that all I could say was that's a Florida strain. It was like 4 and a half pounds but it was short and fat It looked like a freak of nature. LOL. Its belly was so big. Someone told me they stocked the area three years ago also so that was probably one of them.
@@cbbassin6275 Have those Saturday tournaments at Parish Marina been fun? Been thinking about getting in one of those soon. Really enjoy fishing that area.
Thank you for the feedback. I noticed your summer outfit and immediately thought “this guy has got to be freezing with morning temps in low 40’s in January” before realizing this video was likely filmed a few months back haha
I always keep one in the rod box. I tried one yesterday for a few cast but no luck. If the water temps are in the 50's I can still get them to bite it but below that its very tough. Yesterday the water was 43 in the morning. Burr.
Well it's all about having fun, and learning. Always sucks when you gotta pay for schooling but sometimes that's what it takes. At least you got a limit. As always 👍
Great video
Thanks man
Caught a limit . Good job

That "C" was a sign huh. Lol. Oh well. Try again next time.
Excited they're stocking that area with Florida Bass; I believe it's going to turn into an awesome bass fishery with some big girls!

Did you run the MRGO or the bayou parallel to it to get to Violet ? Tight Lines !
That parallel bayou. Before you get to the lock and it goes straight till you get to the camps.
Nice video! What was the water temp?
Man I can't remember that far back. Lol. It was around mid 50's to 60

It was cold that morning but once the sun was up it was warm. That was in the beginning of December
Oh wow that's more recent than I expected. Keep up the great videos man!
Good looking sunrise! I need to break the frogs out after watching this!
