The acting in the first ep was insane. So intense. Can’t even name too many Hollywood actors that just takes the audience to that level. This is so Oscar worthy performance. These Korean actors 🔥🔥🔥
Definitely react to Train to Busan. His performance there was also excellent. Another kdrama he was known for being the MC in was Goblin or "The Guardian", another great watch.
gong yoo is very famous not only in korea but also in other countries because of train to busan. even Lisa of Blackpink mention when they guest in Knowing Bros. that she have a crush on Gong Yoo
And he was playing the song It's Time to say Goodbye... Goodbye Psycho😬 Gong Yoo's acting.. so awesome and also the loan sharks acting are so good too I cried...😢
Gong Yoo's performance this time was very shocking because even Koreans have never seen it before. Many people's recommendations for Train to Busan are fun, but if you like fantasy melodrama, I also recommend a drama called Goblin, played with actress Kim Go-eun! 👍
27:57 the point is Gi-hun has to play the game to see if he has a confidence to fight against the Front Man. psycho guy is like a middle-level boss. You cannot fight against the Front Man if you cannot overcome middle-level boss
The reactors keep telling him to just shoot, but if he really does, Ki-hoon becomes a murderer on the spot. Whether he admits it or not, he just becomes a rich piece of trash. That's how Ki-hoon hints at how to beat Frontman in Episode 1. By following the rules of the game presented by the opponent, you make the opponent destroy themselves according to the rules. You have to believe that evil inevitably destroys itself according to the logic of evil and go all the way.
The recruiter at the end wanted Gi-hun to admit he was like everyone else. "The trash". Killing others for their own gain. Willing to step on others. Taking the easy way out. Cause that how the recruiter viewed poor people. That's why he thinks Gi-hun got lucky by winning the games without killing. And that's why the recruiter knew Gi-hun was thinking about turning the gun on him and killing him, for his own gain. He wanted to prove to him that he is indeed like everyone else who participated in the games. Willing to kill to get what you want. But in the squid games, Gi-hun did not kill to win. And at the end scene, Gi-hun tells the recruiter he would have no understanding of how he won the games. Because he doesn't. In the games, Gi-hun even till the very end, never killed. He instead had to watch his best friend die in his arms. That's why in the end scene here the recruiter is surprised when Gi-hun doesn't choose the easy way out. Even till the very end Gi-hun chooses not to kill in order to "win", and despite that, he still ends up winning. If he had chosen to shoot him, he would've just proven the recruiter right. That he's just like all the other "trash" in the world. If Gi-hun shot the recruiter, Gi-hun would've had to give up everything he had stood for, and everything he would've done to stop the games, would've been meaningless. Cause killing the recruiter would've gone against the very ideals that caused him to hate the games and want to stop them. Like Gi-hun said, the recruiter is just a dog. Shooting him wouldve done nothing but prove Gi-hun won the games without killing because he got lucky. If the recruiter "cheated" at the end and shot Gi-hun, he would've had to live the rest of his life knowing he won because he killed and cheated at the games for his own gain, like all the other "trash in the world". The trash that he had spent his whole life convincing himself that he was better than. Shit gives me chills.

He is a big and expensive actor that's why they took him out in ep1 😂
