    I still can't get over how Hyleg Orobuckle genuinely thinks that putting a slinky on some stairs is a competent form of attack.

    • @DZ-Three
      @DZ-Three  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The best part is, if you dodge it instead of destroying it, the slinky continues downward and Hyleg is just stuck in place, waiting for it to stop. Gives you a ton of time to just slash him to bits, assuming you don't shred him before the slinky even arrives.

    I would never dream of using the chain hook like you did in Poler Kamrous' stage! Very impressive how you took advantage of such a wonky game mechanic.

      Thank you! The Chain Rod can be a bit troublesome to use but it's fun to pull off correctly.

    It's refreshing to see high-level content for the MMZ games. There hasn't been a lot of that for a long time, but with them reappearing on the switch I'm glad to see more people are getting into it. Most of the high-level content is buried from years ago. I'm glad to see more people enjoying it. Makes me wanna pick up the games again lol. I especially like the crazy combos you can pull in MMZ3.

      Thank you very much, I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying my videos! MMZ3 does have the most fleshed out combat system of the bunch for sure, I already have more ideas for some new things I want to try out during my next run.

    I didn't know we could hit him during his "Moero" horizontal charge 5:32 haha, some months ago I was playing Zero remastered and got to the half of the second game, I just try countless times until I win, but your style is giving me some inspiration to try mastering the ways of Zero some day 😆

    • @DZ-Three

      Thanks, I'm always glad to hear that my videos can be inspiring. There are multiple ways to manipulate Phoenix's flame charge.
      -You can jump beforehand to manipulate his vertical position and have him fly completely over you while using a triple slash to damage him, that's the speedrun method.
      -You can simply jump over the charge and properly time a slash to hit him as you ascend.
      -If you have the Sengatotsu EX Skill with the electric chip equipped, you can charge directly at him with the stab and send him flying.

    • @EpicBlueCat
      @EpicBlueCat ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honestly, I accidentally found out you could attack hit him when he does the "Moero"- using shield boomerang with electric chip.

    Looking back at your old footage again, I just realized that during the Neo Arcadia Train segment, you playing a lot like MegaMan X and X2 where your dash and shoot pellet shot at the same time from extra hidden damage.
    9:18 You swung a little too early there, annoying I-frames from Ex-Skill.
    12:59 - 13:09 Tenshouzan + Charged Chain Rod Stun-lock combo!
    14:06 Wow! You can use Chain Rod and clip yourself at the edge of the top there?! Awesome!
    14:26 That's one way to kill him quickly! Forgot about that.
    15:29 - 15:55 Tenshouzan glory all the way! "Kiyaah!"

    • @DZ-Three
      @DZ-Three  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Even uncharged Buster bullets become quite strong when combined with the X Form and dashing, it's a pretty solid tactic when dealing with lots of enemies in a straight line.
      Chain Rod skips are fun to do. Since I'm playing on the Japanese version I could've taken it even further since there's a glitch that lets you zip through some ceilings but I decided against it for this run.
      Hyleg with Tenshouzan only is a bit tricky since it's easy to collide with him, but I didn't feel like switching to Rise Form so I used it instead of basic slashes with Active Form.

    • @leongyuhinleong
      @leongyuhinleong 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DZ-Three I see, always keep forgetting the other features about using dash + pellet shot in X-form and only on the charged shot buster itself. Yeah, about that Hyleg boss fight, I am not too sure if using the charged chain rod would be effective though. Like is it a good tradeoff for some chip in damage in terms of longer flashing I-frame period over Tenshouzan alone.

  • @leongyuhinleong
    @leongyuhinleong ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Nice thumbnail of you doing the epic finishing kill of Zero's Tenshouzan on Panter Flauclaws, love the 'Kiyahhhh!' grunt quote from MegaMan Zero. Cough* Cough* Even though most of your videos, you are playing the Japanese version of the game RockMan Zero instead of the English Version MegaMan Zero. Also you are one challenging, crazy and daring player to fight Phoenix Magnion as your first maverick boss lol.

    • @DZ-Three
      @DZ-Three  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I also really like Zero's battle shout when using Tenshouzan, it really sells the power of the attack well.
      Phoenix is fun to do first since it forces you to learn the intricacies of his pattern. In hindsight, I could've played even more aggressively, but at least this strategy shows a fairly safe and consistent way of defeating him first.

    • @leongyuhinleong

    Why did none the Pantheon and those shield with mace enemies appear in the forest stage?

    • @DZ-Three
      @DZ-Three  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you defeat Phoenix Magnion first, the Pantheons that would be present in the other stages will disappear. The logic is that Phoenix's stage is a power plant that supplies energy to the Neo Arcadian weapons factories, so when Zero destroys the power reactors, they can't make as many Pantheons.

    I had no idea that Phoenix Magnion’s EX attack could go that many times. Is it supposed to do that, or was it just bad luck with the RNG?

    • @DZ-Three
      @DZ-Three  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's purely RNG. To my knowledge there's nothing that can be done to manipulate the number of times it occurs.

    • @DZ-Three
      @DZ-Three  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thankfully the time requirement for his stage is very generous, at 6 minutes and 40 seconds of in game time. As long as you take the most direct path towards Phoenix as I do in this video you should have lots of time to spare, even with a really long fight.

      I switch to type B in the menu for control settings at the very start of the run. This allows you to charge main and sub using individual buttons. For my controller setup, I'm using a Wii U Pro Controller. Jump is mapped to B, main is Y, dash is ZL and sub is ZR.

    What enemies don't spawn if Phoenix's stage is done first?

    • @DZ-Three
      @DZ-Three  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A whole bunch of Pantheon Guardians are removed from the top of the trains in Panter's stage as well as a few irritatingly placed Pantheon Hammers during the climb after the Chain Rod pit in Hyleg's stage. I'm not sure if anything changes in Poler's stage, I can't quite recall.
