- The work of Gerry Anderson, the man who brought us Thunderbirds, Fireball XL5, Stingray, UFO and Space 1999 - to name but a few - was featured in a special tribute at the National Space Centre in Leicester, England.
I had a look round and also took the opportunity to talk to top model maker Richard Ashton about recreating the world of Gerry Anderson. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Those models look amazing. I always thought us kids were short changed with the dinky toy version of Thunderbird 2. I always wanted a duplicate version used in the series !! 😂
Wow I would have loved to have seen this in person.I love all his shows and still watch them at 62.They fascinated me as a kid with their imagination and effects.
It was an impressive event.

I went there. That day was childhood come true.
I even got one of my old Thunderbirds comic books personally autographed by Alan's original voice actor.
There was even photos of me with Alan's voice actor, other patrons dressed in Gerry Anderson related clothing and I even had a picture of me holding Thunderbird 6!
I even attended a show which had Alan's voice actor and Destiny Angel's voice actress doing Q+As.
Their favourite episodes of the shows they starred in were "Move and You're Dead" and "Seek and Destroy"
Gerry Anderson shows always had amazing vehicles, they still look futuristic even today!
THUNDERBIRDS. *Fantabulous* show. I have memories of seeing it in Los Angeles very early in the mornings.....like a fever dream, these realistic miniature special effects worlds
Gerry Anderson had more impact on me than any other science fiction producer.

Thunderbird 2 is without a doubt my fave and this model looks absolutley epic! id love one of those old school polly pockets but made for guys and of thunderbird ships

Gerry and Silvia Anderson are brilliant made brilliant and futuristic programmes I believe Tesla technologies with jo 90 when he goes in the cage using sound and light this technology can be used to heal but is not allowed

@@JohnNeilPark Hello, John! I apologize: My English is too rusty to be use any more! I unfortunately sold my collection a long time ago! (I gave the rarest Dinky Toys to my friends) I only kept the Space 1999 soundtrack vinyl record, and the TB2 dock (the old 90's model kit extended to the whole hangar, with illuminated ceiling)

Hi Matt - they usually hold this event for one weekend each year. Suggest you keep an eye on the NSC website or FB page. The event is well worth a visit. And the NSC itself is always worth a trip anyway. Closed at the moment of course.

These events are generally held every year. Might be worth keeping an eye on the National Space Centre website.

I've always wanted a set of these models T B 1 - 2 - 3 .
Space 1999 Eagle - 1 now there's two ( 2 ) size's the original approximate 72nd scale and now the new larger 48 scale .
I remember watching Stingray when I was a kid .
But the ( who I thought was people ) in Super Car scared the hell out of me * I've been a good boy ever since . ( lol implied )😅

I'm working on a smaller size approximately 1:350 scale which fits in with my other 1:350 ships Enterprise CVN 65 , Enterprise NX - 01 , Enterprise 1701 ( no bloody A, B , C or D ) and my Klingon D - 7 .
I've got to get a replacement for the Enterprise 1701 refit the kit parts got badly warped do to exstream heat this summer .

Jetfire1959 sadly it's the lightning and the upload, I've seen a number of Rich's TB2s up close and the are a nice spot on shade of green.
