Looks great except I feel one of the main driving points for these life type games is charming graphics. Which I can say this games graphics are a bit uninspired.
yeah I feel that, the graphics have grown on me
Id love them to eventually expand towards different countries so not just Australia but that you could pick different parts of the world or maybe even start new towns in different continents while still being able to visit the old town
Yes, we definitely need a manual save. Today we have a lot of thunder and rain and the electricity his going on and off. So i had to close the game .
100% love this game. Love the metal detector aspect. So many different maps, if you don’t like one, you can easily restart. The fish are more realistic, not shadows. Can’t wait to get a rowboat. 😊

I like the concept but wish there was actual combat. My search continues for an Animal Crossing like game and art style that includes combat.
What kind of combat are you looking for? You have to fight a lot of the animals that will attack you if you get close. The mines are filled with bats, Tasmanian devils, and crocodile that will attack you while you try to collect ore.
If you haven't I guess you should try My time at Portia/Sandrock. The combat is pretty neat.
@@piperbird7193 There was a game called Ever Oasis and Fantasy Life for the Nintendo 3DS back in the day. Those two games had a great combo of collecting/combat with a nice art style. The combat in Dinkum seems too close to Minecraft for me. In the other two games I mentioned, you had to do combat to get specific materials, it wasn't incidental.

Being apathetic about everything is a sad personality trait to praise and value, you get great reviews out of people like MyRealm who actually care about what makes a game fun and care about when a really good game's dismissed as a clone due to the fact they're not scared to be passionate about something they like
Not every last one obviously, but a lot of Nintendo fans often seem to think their games are the only ones AND the first ones, anything else is a pretender or stealing
100% a thing that comes up far more often than it should, MyRealm was 100% in their right to say what they did
stardew valley had a lot of personality because it wasn't a CHEAP ri poff of another game. lol. i like how it copies animal crossing poorly but your like i don't like it NOT because they are thieves oh no just cuz i didn't like it from the original! i won't be playing this game because unlike 99% of humanity I actually have morals.
