I'm a white English bloke whose first love is vintage Soul music, not Rock. But I grew up in the Beatles era, so all of their songs are very familiar to me. Paul McCartney said his mother Mary McCartney came to him in a dream after she had passed away and said the words Let It Be. He said he woke up and wrote the song almost immediately.

In the late 70’s, there was a movie called “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” that took the Beatles album of the same name and made it a musical, but all covers by different bands. My favorite song from that movie is “Got to Get You Back”, covered by Earth, Wind, & Fire. It’s not often that someone covers a song, let alone a Beatles song, and makes it better!
The Beatles were falling apart and Paul had a dream about his dead mother (Mary) comforting him, telling him to let it be. Another song that came from a dream he had was Yesterday. I've only ever wrote one song from a dream, and it was that great. He did TWO (maybe more) and they were masterpieces!

This is one of my favorite songs ever. The beatles have been a part of my life throughout my life
Everyone needs to have Beatles in their life!
The Beatles are LEGENDARY. Great content
Thank you for letting this 64 yr old hear it again for the first time through your ears !
A beautiful song and a beautiful performance. Also love Ringo's drumming on the track. Ringo is one of the most underrated drummers in Rock.
Alot of interesting comments. all great! I can only add, Thanks for giving The Beatles a chance. Many young people don't even bother with old music. They think it's no good. But thanks to young people you you , The Beatles music will live on for many, many years. Greatest music on God's green Earth. I Love The Beatles.
Since all the violence, and protests virus, it's nice to unplug and go back to a simpler time "there will be an answer, let it be" I grew up on the Beatles this song and here comes the sun was sang to me as a baby. Nothing but love for the classics
Paul had a dream about his mother, Mary, who died when he was a teen. She came to him and told him to not worry and to just let it be. He woke up and began working on this song.
You’re making ME happy!
Literally everything from the beatles and from hendrix is amazing. Im black and grew up in Philly and I love rap and hip hop music. But the beatles and Jimi hendrix r my biggest influences for Guitar and song writing Biggie is my fav rapper tho. Wish more young blacks like us had a more down to earth open mind for music.
I'm a white English bloke whose first love is vintage Soul music, not Rock. But I grew up in the Beatles era, so all of their songs are very familiar to me. Nonetheless, I never take them for granted. They were and are still awesome. They provided the soundtrack to my childhood and early teens, alongside Motown, Stax and the general great pop music of the 1960s.
My favorite Beatle song . I never tire of hearing this song . My mother who recently passed , name was Mary . So, it has a special meaning for me.
New here! The Beatle's music was so powerful, it's cool to see how strong the messages are through your reactions. Thanks man and keep it up!
One of over one hundred great songs🎸🎶
Thank you for spreading the love, my friend. You wanting to put a smile on my face put a smile on my face. Cheers
Paul’s mother was Mary. She had died when Paul was young.
Love your positive energy, good stuff.
Both Let It Be and Yesterday are about Paul's mum Mary who he lost when he was 14 . Yesterday is about her death, Let it Be about how she continued to help and comfort him even after she passed.
Yesterday has nothing to do with Mary.
@@williamjordan5554 Tell that to the man who wrote it who says otherwise 🤷
@@sunny70299 Only you say otherwise.
@tiranchula Paul McCartney speaking in 2013 "Yesterday, singing it now, I think without realising it I was singing about my mum. Because I think now 'Why she had to go I don't know she wouldn't say. I said something wrong' I think a psychiatrist would have a field day with that"
Maybe you in your arrogance think you know Paul McCartney better than Paul McCartney himself, but I'm going to take Paul's word on this one if you don't mind.

We need this song today more than ever. Not dissing anyone but let us all move on & be one.
I agree. So many people fighting. We need to let it be.
Young man LOVE to you for your interest in listening to the music of my yesterdays. Loved watching you...brought back memories of getting lost in their music my first time. The Beatles always kept me grounded...they still do.Love your energy. Back in the day I truly believed music could heal our hearts and bring us all together as one. How naive I was...same BS ...different century. I feel as though we've taken as many steps backwards as forward.Thank you for helping me believe in OUR tomorrow...even if it's one song at a time.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Looking forward to a New Year with HOPE Health and Happiness.

An inspirational song in times when we surely need to be inspired. You are tapped into the Universe my brother. Positive vibrations from you to we the viewers, many thanks for inspiring me with this video.
“Yesterday” is the most recorded song in the history of English language music.
Pachelbel's Canon has sold more records than any other piece of music.
The song Yesterday came to Paul in a Dream. He literally jumped out of bed and ran to his piano to play it.
Stairway to heaven is most played song in rock and roll history maybe in music in general
HAHAHA this is great, I remember when I first began listening to the Beatles I lost my mind for about a decade before coming back to earth and seeing if anyone else even came close...nobody did. They have SO many great songs.
Amazing songs❤😂🎉 no matter how many times i hear them.
Top beatles songs you need to listen to:
Hey jude
Yesterday
Golden slumbers
In my life
Here comes the sun
Eleanor rigby
Martha My Dear
Why Don't We Do It In The Road (McCartney wails!)
Dear Prudence
Taxman
Blackbird
@@drumhaver223 I love martha, but I think the song that shows off paul's voice the most is golden slumbers. Yeah he really wails and belts in why don't we do it in the road, but golden slumbers will always is much more of fulfilling melody.
@@BrendanBrown1 I wouldn't argue too much with you. You can't go wrong with any of the songs on your list.

Great to hear your review young man l m a big Beatle fan and in these times there music keeps me sane
Good day ☀ ur personality and enthusiasm always leaving me with a smile. Love the Beatles.
Thanks so much!!
Classic. Beyond words. The Beatles did a song of every genre of music, and are the inspiration for all music after them, in some way, shape or form
Love the message that you took from the song..! 👍👍💯
Great reaction!! Thanks!!
Let It Be is my favorite Beatles album. It and Abby Road were their last two albums before they broke up in 1970. I was 4 years old when Let It Be came out. You need to hear "The Long And Winding Road" from this album as well. You won't make it through without crying. It's my favorite song of all time.
I could listen to you listening to the Beatles all day. Stay cool!
Great song, and again Ringo adding some great drum patterns, and George’s great guitar solo. Billy Preston on organ. John plays a six string bass guitar on this song, I think. You are also correct with your analysis. Keep going man.
So glad I listened to this song today! Let it Be. Please.
Paul McCartney said his mother Mary McCartney came to him in a dream after she had passed away and said the words Let It Be. He said he woke up and wrote the song almost immediately.
This was great. Just like in my youth. I had my first "slow dance" to Hey Jude, another important Beatles tune. I could barely stand afterwards, mostly due to the young lady that had been in my arms. You should give it a listen.
There you have it, from one of the greatest bands of all time!
It’s good to see different cultures and communities mixing with each other’s arts and music... this is how society builds unity and let’s go of division and hate. I’ve got Groups like The Beatles, Coldplay and Kendrick Lamar all in the same playlists, it’s all beautiful.
It’s all good baby... keep going with the videos bud!
One of the reasons I can keep going is because of The Beatles. I can't explain why, but anyone who hears that music understands.
“ Come Together” has a fantastic groove as well as “ Get Back”.
Get Back
@Happy who thought he was a loaner!!
The Beatles have always been a great band!!! Beautiful music
I've just spent the last couple of hours watching your reactions from the beginning. Just brilliant. Ain't even lying!
Legend!
By the way, the movie wasn’t that great, but the soundtrack is fantastic!
💘 your reactions. Just discovered your channel yesterday and subscribed.
My favorite Beatles song I love Harrison's solo it's just good these guys had so much talent this is such a a powerful and emotional song
I love your Beetles videos because I grew up listening to them and have most of their song memorized because of how many times I've heard them so I really enjoy it when I see people enjoying my childhood songs, especially The Beetles, they are timeless and outstanding and had and still have an impact on all musicians since their time.
Oh and I'm new to your channel, you've got some amazing videos!
absolutely love your channel.. keep up the good work.. nothing better than listening to music l grew up with
It’s like you don’t choose your brain you don’t choose your parents or your people’s history… your doing the best you can, don’t let life get you down, or things that hurt you define you ..Just let it be.
My uncles favourite song, was played at his funeral. He passed away from coronavirus in March, RIP
Life changing indeed my bro 😀
Your videos are great man they do make me happy. Uplifting. You do great work my bro 👍😀🔥
Imagine hearing this when it first came out. Amazing. Still get that feeling.
Lost my mom at three and my cousin played me when it came out, and we cried, calling him tomorrow, thanks, i must.
I enjoyed the time spent. Good time. It’s the Beatles.
Awesome song.😆😆😆 alot of meaning in the lyrics. I just subscribed and I'm looking for more of your stuff😅😅😅
For all those who don't know ? This is not about the Virgin Mary , he is singing about his mother who's name was Mary. He was feeling worried and down and when he went to bed he had a dream that his mother (Mary ) came to him and said "don't worry just let it be " and when he woke up he wrote the song. Best wishes from Liverpool uk (home of the greates band in the world The Beatles )
"Peace through Beatlepower". "Imagine all the people sharing all the world". ❤
