    My hemoglobin is between 8.7 and 10.0, the higher being in the warm months. I am a determined hiker in National Parks and elsewhere. I must always be aware of elevation gain on hikes, and over what distance. Level hiking isn't a problem, but will get out of breath on steep hikes. Just have to stop to catch my breath, and sit down. A hike might take twice as long to do. I have CAD, and Renaud's, where skin turns purple when exposed to cold weather.

    Can you cure cad or it will always come back?

    My mom has CAD ... and as of right now she isn't getting much help .. the Doctors here are clueless..
