Do you think the PS5 is worth buying in 2024? 🤔
im gonna buy one in like 3 hours!!!!!!😊😊😊 im really happy is my first playstation ever. Because i could never afford one when i was little. Now im 16 and im buying it with my own money.😊😊❤❤❤❤
W
Damn im in my late 20s and had my ps3 with 17. Now i feel old
Picked one up this last weekend, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. After a lifetime of xbox and PC, finally getting to experience some of these Sony exclusives makes it instantly worth it.
Most of exclusive are on pc
how's the controller vs xbox controller, because of that i choose xbox lol..
@@rjasontwenty1099 To be honest that has been the hardest switch haha. Don't get me wrong, it's a good controller and the immersion is wonderful, but xbox controllers are just perfect. I miss that the most
just bought is last week, the adaptive trigger and this experience is something really different and definitely a massive up from ps4
Just letting you know resident evil 2,3,7 and the Witcher 3 all got free PS5 upgrades haptic feedback, trigger support and ray tracing. All free.
Definitely worth it for the story games and controller experience.
I have a 4070 desktop gaming pc, and i still prefer ps5 games at 1440p 60fps on my oled monitor, no frame skips or stuttering, just smooth gameplay with controller.
What about pvp games like cod and stuff?
@@MK1994__ Xbox series X for Call of Duty (COD).
Umm and most importantly you can disable cross play and not not have hackers in multiplayer games lol
@@lokidoki471 dude just frame cap and/or use g sync or freesync. U can prob play 1440p at way more than 60 frames and have no stuttering.
I would say it's a must buy for people who didn't have a PS4 and want high quality games with fast SSD. But if you were full on the PS4, it's quite bare ones at the moment imo. Yes, it's way faster..but that's it tbh. In comparison to the ps4 pro the games doesn't run a generation better. They run smoother and have shorter load times. But true exclusives are rare right now. And sadly it doesn't look like it will change in the direct future. I hope in 2024 they ramp up their software lineup finally.
Yes it's totally worth it because there's still a lot of people that don't have a PlayStation 5 due to being shortage for the last couple of years but now it should be easy for people to buy it from stores
Thanks because I'm looking to get one soon for Mortal Kombat 1 2023 that I pre ordered
Done... I just pre ordered the Spider-Man Limited edition console bundle woo and when it comes... it will be just in time for me to play Mortal Kombat 1 😂
It is
Can't wait to pick up my Spider-Man Limited Edition PS5 this Friday finally 🤩
@@TheNotSoRandomDude yup it's definitely worth getting it especially if you're a gamer
i just got one and it’s going to be here november 3rd im so excited after watching this video i went and bought one thankyou for helping my decision sir
Yes it’s worth buying a PS5 in 2023🥂😁
I agree.

It's a blessing to have a PS5 in my book 😅
1:40 I let myself get peer pressured by a friend to get a PC in 2021. I really like to play with keyboard and mouse because it's a much easyer and precise experience.
But already now, I feel the urge to upgrade the processor, graphics card and add more ram to play never games at more saticefying setting.
I'm actually thinking about buying a PS5 and going bock to playing console. I just don't want to upgrade all the time. I'm not tech savy, so I don't want to do it myself, so I have to pay someone to do it.
One huge thing PC has going for it, is the free multiplayer. like C-mon consoles. it should be free.
the ps5 is dominating in the uk..
a pc may cost the same as two ps5's but pc's can do so much more than gaming whether it be for jobs, web browsing at ease, school work, etc. but i got both so im loving the best of both worlds
Just waiting for the slim then I’m getting it. I have owned a Series S since launch but it has started to choke on new gen games.
Got one for 2000 swedish crowns which is cheap as hell as a brand new one costs 7400ish. The one I got is like brand new so I really made a great deal. Have the series X since launch 😁
2022 PS5 $800+, 2023 ps5 $400 🤯
Capitalism: Supply and Demand🎉
should i get the disc version now or wait for the slim that comes out in a few weeks? the slim requires $30 more for a stand but has slightly more storage............but i'm leaning towards the original version and buying an SSD for $60
I love PC games and it's my preferred method of gaming, however, you can't go wrong with a console. I purchased my PS5 disc version on May 11 2023 and at first, I thought I made a mistake. I had the PS4 Pro since 2019 and although I didn't play it that often, I was satisfied with it and what it had to offer. But after about a month of playing with my PS5, I am very impressed with this console. I own 11 games on it so far (most of which are disc, 4 of which are digital), I own a total of 3 controllers (red and camo, thinking of getting that baby blue color) and I have a 2tb M.2 in it, wasn't expecting to purchase that many games. The last console I really enjoyed was the Xbox 360. I think I had about 20 games for that system. In the end, I think its worth owning a PS5. Plus I have about 200 movies that I like to watch and since the PS5 is also a 4k player, I can watch those movies too.
Which brand did you get for your 2tb? I'm trying to figure out if I should go for a Firecuda, Corsair, or the Kingston fury for a 4tb SSD. I'm tired of this 5tb Wd hdd I have. Also I have 10 games physical and 5 games digital, got my ps5 march 2021. I'm catching up on PS4 games I bought recently. Also, I have 3 controllers (white, cosmic red, and Spiderman 2 controller), thinking bout getting that baby blue w/ the console cover. But I'm likeee what if team asobi (Astros playroom)puts out a blue custom dualsense/covers😬
@@TISUAL samsung
I'm considering buying it because of ps exclusive games. Spider man 2 , gow Ragnarok.
doesn't matter, just make sure the speed is high @@TISUAL
@@IronIsKing may just go with Corsair or stay with WD
It's worth it because the ps5 console does everything a ps4 console do but much faster and the loading speeds are amazing on it. It's also worth it because they are available everywhere and people cannot they aren't available. If people want to buy one save 100 dollars each week in months time they'll have enough to buy one and get at any store. I think it's worth it honestly. The one console that isn't worth it is ps4 console is that ps4 console is 10 years old and eventually developers are going to stop making games for ps4 hence they start to focus on ps5 games
I am looking at a PS5 this year and soon. Great content!
Same, I can probably scrape enough money together within a couple months but I might wait for my birthday as a present to myself (November)
@@IHitTheWater sounds good
Got my PS5 it's great!!
Yes. I have played Last Of Us part 2 since day one, on ps4 and ps5, I have never heard the fan get loud, on this, or any game, even after three hours of play.
I like ps plus, but prefer physical discs, and usually have most of the games, but it is better than game pass.
As a PC owner he's right.
My rig is 4 years old nearly and uses a lot of power plus it's size and to upgrade would mean a graphics card that costs more than a PS5. Plus for w new motherboard that would be needed for a new processor as it has a different socket type = the cost of another PS5.
I Went back to PC after Sony shafted PS3 users saying that PS4 wouldn't run the games. (not generally an issue with PC)
I DO WISH they would provide mouse input and keyboard option since with a mouse, aiming is much more smoother and linear than that tiny thumb stick
I still use a ps4. Not paying for online so rpgs and dvds are all I usually do.
I have an xbox series x which I use frequently but I want to play PlayStation exclusives, is a ps5 still worth it?
Honestly as a person who is just now looking into buying their first Playstation, the subscription service just seems too good to be true, I could just grab a console, and get a thousand hours of triple A games for $140!
Yea but the price went up lol
Just got one 2 weeks ago so far i love it.
the video starts at 8:00
Pretty much
no time better than now!
I'm thinking about keeping my ps4 pro for this year and buy the ps5 pro when it hits later 2024
Picked it up yesterday, grabbed a 2 TB ssd with it. Plus was that it was easy to install the ssd and the ssd was relatively cheap. The rest though, not impressed with it so far. The system and controller feel very cheaply made. The OS is awful. The controller buttons feel squishy, the battery life is easily the worst of any controller I’ve owned. Downloading games is a chore on it. I can’t just select a download and quickly move to the next game to download. I have to wait for the download to actually kick off. I had a game with a ps4 and ps5 version. The console downloaded the ps4 version. I thought this was fixed? Did I mention that downloads would often not continue while running in rest mode even though I had it setup to download in rest mode? It also randomly just stopped downloading games, no reason given, it just didn’t continue the download. I have a ton of PS4 games and looked forward to a smooth transition. This has not been a good experience so far. I haven’t even played a game on it yet. I’m concerned these are going to be issues we’re going to be living with until Sonys next console. It really feels like not a lot of attention to detail was spent on the os feature set.
For me I realised console gaming has become like films where there’ll only be maybe one or two decent outputs per year. I envied the peeps who bought a ps4 during covid and played all the good games in one go. It’s year 3 and people are still raving about playing a new version of old games.
I’ll get it at the end of its lifespan and play all good 10 games. There’ll be 4 truly good ones and 6 okay/indie games. I think if you’re not a cod, fortnite or fifa player then it’s just not worth it. High quality story-based games always do well and often win game of the year like TLOU or GOW but they don’t make as much money so are very rare. I may be alone in this opinion though
It depends on what it is you want from a console, but all I see are fanboys in the comment section blurting out oh yeah it's worth it. I started with the PS1 and I've been a Sony Fanboy my entire life, but about a year-and-a-half ago, I switched the Series X and I will never look. Why did I make the switch? The answer is one word, games!
Exclusives are becoming less and less, at this point they're almost practically non-existent, and PlayStation 5 will mostly be playing PlayStation 4 exclusives, because in reality there's very few exclusives anymore, and this goes for both Sony and Microsoft.
When it comes to the Series X, While not every game is backwards compatible, most of the classics are. I get to play my Fight Night Champions, SSX3, Oblivion, Dragon Age Origins, Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate, Fallout New Vegas, KOTOR, and the list goes on and on. The digital sales are so cheap they practically give them away, and then I just transfer the games to an external hard drive in order to save memory on the SSD.
The the best answer, is that you should only buy a PS5 if you're one of those people that's hyped up on the exclusive drugs, and like I stated before, most of those are ports from PS4. PC or Series X is what you want if you care about the multitude of game. The Series X is literally five game consoles in one, because you have all four generations of Xbox consoles in one unit, not including retro games that were even out before those times. To me, PlayStation has become nothing but a paperweight.
These fools never mention the price they paid.
It's a 100% worth It!! I love mine so much!!. It boosts gaming to a whole new level the detail and graphics, (u need a high quality tv for the best graphics experience)
I love my PS5 and the adaptive triggers are so cool
And I'm so excited for Marvel's Spider-man 2 coming October 20th😆😆
I vaguely remember it being backwards compatible? Like can I play my Bloodborne game on it or not? This is the deciding factor.
Yes, you can play your ps4 bloodborne on it.
I got mine in February to replace my Ps4 and I’ve been addicted since lol. I have the LE Lebron Dualsense and the LE Spider-Man 2 dualsense. Definitely my fav console and controller.
And PS Plus is terrific. I got to play Ghost Of Tsushima in its entirety bc of the subscription and it’s now one of my fav games literally ever.
Final Fantasy XVI was also a ton of fun to play on here.
Just got this now my PS4 games load much faster. Haven't like much of the new games but the fact that I can play online without a load time is pretty sweet
I think a PS5 is absolutely worth it in 2023. It's a straightforward way to play some of the latest and greatest games, and you get instant access to games that might not appear on PC for months or years.
And Performance Mode on this thing is awesome. I keep mine in Performance Mode all the time and I've had no frame rate issues. Everything runs smoothly and looks great, which makes sense when you're playing games that have been optimized for the specific hardware you're playing on.
Upgrading the storage is easy and relatively inexpensive. I bought a 2 TB SSD with a heatsink for mine for just $150.
The DualSense controller is the next level in non-VR gaming immersion. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are amazing. If you have the right developer utilizing it, you can have little details in games like tiny, targeted vibrations for footsteps when you're walking or running in the PS5 version of Control.
yeah most of the time games are smooth, only some games can have fps drops, but that´s more the developer fail. Even if games are only in 1440p or even 1080p for 60 or 120 FPS, games will look good because of the very good upscaling. 40 FPS modes in VRR are also great for good visuals. I think for me it is enough for the whole generation.
Just 150... you make that seem like it's inexpensive!
@@dannydanielsnyc Like I said in my comment, it's relatively inexpensive. A 2 TB storage expansion for Xbox Series consoles is $280.

Should I buy a ps5 now or wait a bit for the release of the slim/pro model? What are your thoughts? Is the wait worth it?
Im waiting
I would buy it now because the slim wont have many diff specs besides the disc drive plus these 2 versions arent even comfirmed yet so u might be waiting for nothing
Don’t bother with the slim the pro I think will be out 2024 maybe ?
Slim out now
tbf i dont think well see a big improvement like we saw on earlier playstations like ps1 > ps2 > ps3 & lastly ps4 since we have reached peakish graphics we wont see revoultionary improvements graphics wise but more of performance for the price
I have a pretty beefy PC which I play all my games on, however with the announcement of the EA sports UFC 5, I realized I had to get a PS5 which i bought today (because its only on ps5, and not on ps4 and previous UFC games were the only reason I had bought a ps4). But if anyone have any recommendations for ps5 exclusives that are not on PC let me know, I am currently thinking about the Final fantasy game which looks nice
Is not different now then it was before, just finally has more games but the console itself is the same so if you liked it when it was released you will like now
I was gonna wait till sometime next year.but i wonder if i should wait for ps6 or at least a ps5slim
I feel like a ps5 revision will come out soon, holiday this year or next year sometime, especially considering the recent "leak". Don't wait for a ps6, and if you are that worried get a used ps5 so you won't lose a ton if you decide to resell.
Just picked up a digital version, traded in my Series S. it’s amazing.
Having left Xbox do you miss it ? I did the same trade as you and am having a hard time getting used to PlayStation

Just couldn’t get a ps5 up until recently, the S was perfect for my needs for a couple of years, but might get another one, also have a laptop for pc game pass.
I bought an Xbox S, and instantly regretted it. Yes it’s great for Minecraft, but coming from a PlayStation background the controller just doesn’t cut it. The X button is in the wrong position. I love trophies, don’t give a monkeys about achievements. I’ve hardly bought any games for it, just can’t do shooters with it. Saving my pennies for a PS5 looking forward to getting back on that horse and coming home! Will prob trade in my Xbox undecided if it’s worth keeping, although there are older games in their catalogue which are good - the controller is a massive turn off as well as the Microsoft menus which are complex and annoy me!
I’m currently saving up to Kop a Ps5 UFC 5 I’ll definitely have it by the end of the month especially for UFC 5 and gta 6 😀 time to step up from Ps4, I also own a ps3 and ps2 all in perfect working order with so many oldschool 💎s I’ve never ever owned an Xbox for me it’s always been about PlayStation gaming 💯🔥

If you don't currently have a gaming platform then yes, definitely worth it. If you already own a PC though, there's no reason. Those very few games that are still exclusive aren't worth 600€+ and there's a chance all of them come to PC eventually.

Worth buying only for exclusive games like gt7 and gow? I usually play on Xbox series x
Most of their exclusives are top tier, but I'm not sure its worth having a X and ps5 at the same time, maybe an S or lower end pc and ps5 but having 2 extremely powerful consoles just seems like a waste of money. I'd get a switch before a ps5 if i had a series X

Thank you bro, Ive been wanting to buy a new PC for around three years now but the prices have always been way too high. Ive been thinking about the PS5 also and your video has helped me decide, I think I will go with the PS5.
But i would recommend a secound DualSense Controller and also the original loading station. With that the experience is nearly perfect imo. And of course an nvme ssd for extra storage. In my case even 1TB is very good because many PS5 games are smaller than PS4 versions. for me enough. But these days you can buy bigger space for better money.

I may not be hearing correctly, did you say Final Fantasy 16 is coming or on PS4?
Not making fun or being a troll, just couldn't;t understand if you meant FF16 is one of the few PS5 only titles or one of the games that's cross-gen.
One of the few PS5 only titles 😊 - Aaron
What is your ps5 face plates?
for those buying a PS5 in 2023 bear 24 what monitor or other things are you buying i.e. gaming headset?
Ratchet is possible without SSD. Improved by SSD? Sure. But not impossible without it. It's hype and marketing.
of course Rachet and Clank Rift Apart started development on PS4 Pro and even has almost finished PS4 version but Sony decided Not to release it to Boost PS5 Sales and cause of the shortage
I keep hearing people complain about the ps4 fan, but I’ve personally never had this problem, mine is so quiet
Do you guys even clean your ps4 fan every now and then?
What i like about consoles (PlayStation) is you buy a disc, you update it then you play. For the most part there's no servers to prevent you from picking up your copy of a game in 20 years time and just playing should your hardware be looked after. Xbox can't do this since a simple thing like user account creation needs a server - thats why I won't bother with xbox again.
Sony and Microsoft are updating system software with a virus bug stopping some physical games from working intentionally forcing users to buy digital games
just ordered im so excited 😭
gg
Just here because it’s dirt cheap right now to buy and building a gaming pc costs an arm and a leg where I live 😢 PCMR
Nah I think everyone should rather get a GameCube.
Dimension hopping is about to be possible without ssd soon on pc
My ps4 seems to be getting slower and starting to freeze during game play, considered moving to the ps5 but been waiting for the new Gta to be out before i do as it wont be out for the ps4 so will need to upgrade
at least another year
I think you should wait for the PS5 Pro
If they made it more affordable, yes I think it would be. Also make the home screen and turning it on and off more easier because it just looks complicated. It’s not like the PS4.
I really hope someone could give their opinion on my problem, i have been a console gamer until 6-7 years ago i switched to PC, i recently sold it and wanna buy a PS5 or Xbox, BUT, I love the ps5 exclusive's but i really just wanna play Forza Horizon 5, wich is only on Xbox😖, is it worth buying the Xbox just for Forza? Or should i just go with a Ps5 enjoy other games but sadly not play the game i really dream of playing.. help meee
It’s really down to what you want to play more. There are some great PS5 exclusives, but if Forza Horizon 5 if THE game you wanna play then go for Xbox. What I will say is that The Crew Motorfest is shaping up to be a Forza Horizon-like experience on PS5 when it launches in September, so if you are just looking for an open-world arcade racer that’s always an option 🙂 - Aaron
i would go for PS5 because of better exclusives. i mean you can play Forza with GamePass even on a weak system or also on some TVs with streaming app.
Guy forgets the most important point: The games available.
Yes, yes and YES.
Grand, cinematic and immersive games.
Just the visuals on Horizon are enough to buy.
I got my ps5 n April of dis year. I luv my ps5.. great console.
So do you think that £399 for a ps5 disc version with a free game is a good deal then
If you're in the UK, I was in GAME today and they were £399 but staff said it would only be at that price for 2 or 3 days longer (can't remember) then the price will go up again by about £80 to approx £480. If I wanted to trade my old xbox one S, I would get the PS5 (disc version) for £300. I think that with Christmas price adjustments coming up, even £399 might prove to be a good deal even without a trade-in.
Without a crystal ball, who knows?
But in the short term at least, it seems a good deal to me imo
What if you don't have a 4k TV yet 🤔???
Mine is coming this week
Lets say i have uncharted 4 on a ps4 disc will it work on a ps5 like do ps4 disc work on ps5

Thx
Just got banned on my Series X on a 10 year old account without any reports or anything lol. Idk what I did but it looks like I’m logging into my good ol’ 2007 PlayStation account on the ps5 haha. Hope it lives up to its hype! Gonna miss forza and halo tho lol
did you get PS5?
