I noticed Hela and Loki looked similar or their styles were anyway. Also, even Hela said that Thor didn't look like Odin, but Loki sounded like him. Just thought it was strange....wonder if Film Theory will get in on it.
A good idea someone should pitch is a full movie of the remaining Asgardians on Earth after Endgame. No plot, just all of them trying to get a grasp on this culture and everyone preventing them from killing themselves or anyone else.

I was actually saddened to see Thor's friends dispatched so quickly. I mean, I get that Hela is supposed to be the Goddess of Death and immensely powerful but, they hardly had a chance to read a line before she stuck 'em like pigs. Presumably, Thor has been teamed up with them for quite some time before he came to earth. Yet, he seems more concerned about his Earthling buddies than his long lost Asgardian crew. Those poor stalwart heroes. We'll never forget them... whatever their names were.
Hogun was the only one who was allowed to stand up and be a badass. Volstagg (my favourite) and Fandral were dispatched without a care in the world. I enjoyed this movie but that irked me, especially given the Warriors Three have been a core part of the Thor mythos for decades.
The "warriors 3", are, always were, and always will be, dumb characters. I am incredibly glad they got rid of them right out of the gate. Also, they completely retconned the "power of Thor" thing from Mjolnir, which was another excellent choice.
Watched Ragnarok again last night. Really have to say, with each additional watch this thing seems to get even better. Damn they did such an amazing job

This movie was fantastic. The part where banner leaps out of the plane and faceplants into the rainbow bridge was one of top 10 scenes in recent history. I laughed out loud a little too loudly in the theater at that scene
So two normally antagonistic brothers have to team up against their secret, dark-haired, psychopathic sister...are we sure this isn't Season 4 of Sherlock?

My favourite thing in the whole movie is still the rock-paper-scissor jokes. Korg makes one at the begginning about rock beating scissor, but he himself was beaten by paper because he didn't print enough flyers for the revolution. And in the end he stepped on Miek and thought he had killed him, rock beats scissor. Luckily he did survive.

That's really the problem. This is the film that should be one of the most dramatic of the MCU films and yet it ended up being one of the most comedic.
Not to mention that Thor and Loki actually act like brothers for the whole movie. Whoever wrote this had a realistic, personal experience with how siblings behave. It's great.

When did he even find out they had died? Where would he even have had time to find out, far less mourn them? I imagined it happened on the ship after the end of the film. He starts asking where they are, and someone (probably Heimdall) tells him that Hela killed them.
The 4-D experience in summer 2020 of sitting on a comfy-looking chair screaming in horror at everything that happens around you in a blur is...quite accurate accurately. Well done sir!

I love that the longer Helen stays in Asgard, the more rediculous her helmet gets. Because with this character, they KNEW that her design was already over the top goofy.... And it's awesome!
My biggest problem with the movie: They went from "Whoever wields this hammer shall have the power of Thor" to "The hammer only helped you focus you power and you don't really need it" with no freaking explanation at all.
Well the director didn't give a damn about continuity anything gold along those lines and comic references probably can be chocked up to the writers. I mean they also said thor hammer was made of star metal who's is a strange misconception (it's made of uru and was made in a star as the first film said) The comics had established that the hammer helped thor focus and channel the powers bit not that that was it was for
That was just a thing that Odin did when he took his powers away so that he could get them back if and when he became worthy of them. Not because anyone who gets the powers ever has Thor's powers. It's why he didn't even have to go pick it up in the end it just came to him because he finally deserved them again.
@Leon Evelake - For some reason Marvel Studios gets praised to heavens and beyond for making comic book accurate characters and movies but almost nothing in their movies are even remotely comic book accurate. Even RDJ's Iron-Man is miles from comic book accurate Tony Stark. This is why DCEU is failing though, Snyder is trying really hard to be as comic book accurate as possible, most of his expensive shots are straight off of comic book panels but being overly comic book accurate doesn't work for the general audience.
Stuff the Ice Chest! And Batman versus Superman Man of Steel and Justice League every movie except suicide squad has been amazing and only smart people would know that

They can’t do the marvel Netflix series, b/c they aren’t out on physical media in the US. You can’t show scenes that weren’t in the trailers, unless you own a physical copy of them. Hopefully, they will come out someday so that they can. Probably not though, every copy sold would mean at least one less view on Netflix, and possibly one less person buying a subscription.
Supernaturlisch unfortunately it was the opposite for me. Just another guardians of the galaxy comedy film. It was supposed to change the MCU "drastically".

andreja brkic not really because we never got to feel the impact. It didn't even impact Thor that much. And that's what sucks. He is just stumbling from one set peice to another with his only goal to kill hela. And why is that becuase his father said she was evil. It was so forced. Hela was just another band villain who causes "destruction" only to be defeated easily by the hero. I did like the fight scene though but once again the film jut rushed past the fact that Thor has his eye ripped from its socket. If they had stopped with the jokes in some crucial scenes it would have been a much better film. But because of the film we just rush past some of the most important events in the MCU. We never see Thor reminiscing on asgard, or his people, his friends, sometimes his dad and his hammer.
I was one of the Asgard immigrants, I wore a blue hood. I was in a few scenes, from the scene where we were all huddled in the hall to the bridge to the spaceship.
Next thor movie : thor is the adopoted one !! Big twist I guess 😂😂 Jokes aside but thor rangorak is one of my favourite movies and I want more of these!!!
Add to that Wonder Woman didn't beat ANY of the Marvel movies that year...so its best success still pales to the competition...DC has the most iconic heroes...they need to do better.

It drove me INSANE that Thor, the GOD OF THUNDER was being constantly electrocuted when one of his main powers is summoning vast amounts of lightning.
Remember he didn’t realize he didn’t need his hammer until Odin “Mufasa-ed” in at the end of the movie. It was a mental block thing.

I love that the longer Helen stays in Asgard, the more rediculous her helmet gets. Because with this character, they KNEW that her design was already over the top goofy.... And it's awesome!
My biggest problem with the movie: They went from "Whoever wields this hammer shall have the power of Thor" to "The hammer only helped you focus you power and you don't really need it" with no freaking explanation at all.
Well the director didn't give a damn about continuity anything gold along those lines and comic references probably can be chocked up to the writers.
I mean they also said thor hammer was made of star metal who's is a strange misconception (it's made of uru and was made in a star as the first film said)
The comics had established that the hammer helped thor focus and channel the powers bit not that that was it was for
That was just a thing that Odin did when he took his powers away so that he could get them back if and when he became worthy of them. Not because anyone who gets the powers ever has Thor's powers. It's why he didn't even have to go pick it up in the end it just came to him because he finally deserved them again.
@Leon Evelake - For some reason Marvel Studios gets praised to heavens and beyond for making comic book accurate characters and movies but almost nothing in their movies are even remotely comic book accurate.
Even RDJ's Iron-Man is miles from comic book accurate Tony Stark.
This is why DCEU is failing though, Snyder is trying really hard to be as comic book accurate as possible, most of his expensive shots are straight off of comic book panels but being overly comic book accurate doesn't work for the general audience.

They can’t do the marvel Netflix series, b/c they aren’t out on physical media in the US.
You can’t show scenes that weren’t in the trailers, unless you own a physical copy of them.
Hopefully, they will come out someday so that they can. Probably not though, every copy sold would mean at least one less view on Netflix, and possibly one less person buying a subscription.

Supernaturlisch unfortunately it was the opposite for me. Just another guardians of the galaxy comedy film. It was supposed to change the MCU "drastically".
Sir John kh it did,asgard,the beacon of hope for the nine realms is destroyed,the asgardian army(one of the strongest in the universe) is demolished. It leaves a big impact for the universe,no matter that the movie has a comedic tone.
andreja brkic not really because we never got to feel the impact. It didn't even impact Thor that much. And that's what sucks. He is just stumbling from one set peice to another with his only goal to kill hela. And why is that becuase his father said she was evil. It was so forced. Hela was just another band villain who causes "destruction" only to be defeated easily by the hero. I did like the fight scene though but once again the film jut rushed past the fact that Thor has his eye ripped from its socket. If they had stopped with the jokes in some crucial scenes it would have been a much better film. But because of the film we just rush past some of the most important events in the MCU. We never see Thor reminiscing on asgard, or his people, his friends, sometimes his dad and his hammer.
Man, I really wish I could watch it again for the second time. I've already watched Black Panther twice.
