One of my absolute favorite Marvel movies. SOOO GOOD, Taika knocked it out of the park.

I noticed Hela and Loki looked similar or their styles were anyway. Also, even Hela said that Thor didn't look like Odin, but Loki sounded like him. Just thought it was strange....wonder if Film Theory will get in on it.

I was actually saddened to see Thor's friends dispatched so quickly. I mean, I get that Hela is supposed to be the Goddess of Death and immensely powerful but, they hardly had a chance to read a line before she stuck 'em like pigs.
Presumably, Thor has been teamed up with them for quite some time before he came to earth. Yet, he seems more concerned about his Earthling buddies than his long lost Asgardian crew.
Those poor stalwart heroes. We'll never forget them... whatever their names were.
Well what do you expect, he laughed and cracked jokes as his entire home was destroyed forever.
Hogun was the only one who was allowed to stand up and be a badass. Volstagg (my favourite) and Fandral were dispatched without a care in the world. I enjoyed this movie but that irked me, especially given the Warriors Three have been a core part of the Thor mythos for decades.

The "warriors 3", are, always were, and always will be, dumb characters. I am incredibly glad they got rid of them right out of the gate. Also, they completely retconned the "power of Thor" thing from Mjolnir, which was another excellent choice.
Ya that’s the part of the film I hate, I mean they made it look like they were just bland characters to be killed and they were all interesting.

This movie was fantastic. The part where banner leaps out of the plane and faceplants into the rainbow bridge was one of top 10 scenes in recent history. I laughed out loud a little too loudly in the theater at that scene

I agree: Thor Ragnarok is radically better than the other Thor movies. I need two more Thor movies that are more like this one.
A good idea someone should pitch is a full movie of the remaining Asgardians on Earth after Endgame. No plot, just all of them trying to get a grasp on this culture and everyone preventing them from killing themselves or anyone else.

Watched Ragnarok again last night. Really have to say, with each additional watch this thing seems to get even better. Damn they did such an amazing job

I initially had the same gripe as many others about too much hokiness, but it really does make the film

I've watched it like 6 times and it just gets better. Sometimes dark movies are good but Thor is not one of those franchises

My favourite thing in the whole movie is still the rock-paper-scissor jokes.
Korg makes one at the begginning about rock beating scissor, but he himself was beaten by paper because he didn't print enough flyers for the revolution.
And in the end he stepped on Miek and thought he had killed him, rock beats scissor. Luckily he did survive.
The part where he's going through the tunnel had me in stitches so badly I literally had to pause the movie to recover. 😂😂😂 My brain just completely reeled at the combination of Willie Wonka and Marvel

It drove me INSANE that Thor, the GOD OF THUNDER was being constantly electrocuted when one of his main powers is summoning vast amounts of lightning.
Remember he didn’t realize he didn’t need his hammer until Odin “Mufasa-ed” in at the end of the movie. It was a mental block thing.
I just tell myself it's some nervous system attacking device rather than a glorified taser. Or maybe Thor is only electro-proof on the outside... like a plane.
Either explanation wouldn't be too ridiculous.

Sometimes when the world is ending, the only thing left to do is laugh.
Yeah, we see his pain and coping mechanism in infinity war and the his depression in end game
That's really the problem. This is the film that should be one of the most dramatic of the MCU films and yet it ended up being one of the most comedic.

Actually, Thor was a maniac in the first film and wanted to tear apart a planet with his bare hands. He was very much like Hela in the beginning.
In real Norse mythology, Hela is Loki’s daughter, and Thor has red hair

Don’t know about anyone else but this is my fav marvel movie. I basically rewatch every 2 weeks and it still manages to be goddamn amazing.
I love that the longer Helen stays in Asgard, the more rediculous her helmet gets. Because with this character, they KNEW that her design was already over the top goofy.... And it's awesome!

It was quite odd that Thor never mourned the deaths of the warriors 3 and that their deaths were so quick and meaningless

When did he even find out they had died? Where would he even have had time to find out, far less mourn them? I imagined it happened on the ship after the end of the film. He starts asking where they are, and someone (probably Heimdall) tells him that Hela killed them.
