I wanted to try something new for today's video and figured we should see what happens when I try to hand feed my pet muskie! After a quick stop for live food at L&A Baits in Omaha, NE... we were all set for a Muskie feeding!

I hope everything is ok. It's been a year now since you posted a video. This has happened to 3 of my favorite fish TH-camrs. They started growing on the platform and then disappeared. Zac would be well over 100,000 subscribers by now.
Ya hoping he comes back hes one of the only TH-camrs that keeps native us fish and has really good info on them.!!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen better feeding videos than yours your fish are always putting on a show. Missed you man. I love watching your videos. You make me enjoy the hobby when I can't myself, being on the road and all I don't have time or the ability to take care of fish properly. I love how you have all the fish I dream to keep. If I could recommend 1 fish I love to see in your collection it would be the paddle fish. Give it a though. I have yet to see anyone house them on TH-cam yet

Ridiculous how people are bothered about live feeder's what do they think the animals do in the wild its nature not a crime animals need to eat their natural diet
I'm with you! It's a natural part of this fish's diet. But I still don't want to upset anyone so I try not to let the camera linger on anything being eaten or show anything too graphic! Figure thats a good middle ground!

I just started my first Iowa native tank, I have a few chubs and a bunch of minnows and darters of all kinds but my two favorite fish in the tank are 2 baby bullhead
Hey Zac have you tried feeding the Muskie night crawlers? I got a little Tiger Musky that I got him acclimated to red worms and he goes nuts for them. Love your Leech Lake Spotted Musky!

If I were to pick the most epic (and unexpected) feeding that has happened on your channel... It, without a doubt, has to be when you and Ben tried to feed the Smallmouth a lizard and it got completely OBLITERATED! By the Bluegill/Green Sunfish 🤔? 🤣👍

Trout are definitely one of my bucket list fish! What sort of setup do you have for them??
It was so funny... I just netted them out and put them in the bucket. Once they were in the tank, turned off the lights and didn't even think twice about it. Looked a few hours later and went "hmm.... those don't look like sunfish...." 😂
@@SCFishKeeping I'm trying to do bookies. I only got a 40 breeder with a 1/4 chiller. Eventually I should go bigger with the tank. But the way bookies are, I've never seen a wild one over 6 inches. I currently have a bluegill green sunfish hybrid I caught out of a lake a few years ago and he's coupled with a bluegill. You could see the color differences from sunfish even when they are pale!

I've kept muskies in a 210 before. They outgrew the tank in 6 months. Not sure if yours is a runt or you've got some unhappy water. But that thing should be pushing 18 inches by now.
Great Video and content! I was wondering if you would have any advice on keeping yellow bullhead with crayfish? I can’t find any solid facts on if the bullhead will eat the crayfish or not.

Bluegills are a sunfish lol. So are Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass.

@@SCFishKeeping yes I have a 4 inch spotted bass and 5 inch pumpkinseed in it rn they are both fun fish and it’s very fun watching the bass eat minnows. I’ve only had the tank for a week. I was able to cycle the tank in 5 days using prime and my friends established filter and substrate so I caught the fish and they started eating right away after I acclimated them.

As long as the feeders are disease free and power fed I think feeders are totally fine.
Wish my Bluegill ate like yours. He won't even let me see him eat.
That's why I get so many of them! Putting them in the Sunfish tank will let them adjust and I can get them some quality food before they wind up as food!
I've had sunfish/bluegill like that too! So hit or miss with their personalities!

he zac, i get all my pike of of live. starting with a live bait that i will hold with pliers. i do this 4/5 times. after that i take the same pliers and use a dead bait. (frozen smelt) after doing this 5 times they will take them by just throwing them in.

Do you think a muskie will get along with a rtc and a tsn? I have my redtail chunk and tiger shovel nose loki in a 10x7 pool pond in my basement and i want to add a top water column fish. Chunk and loki stay on the bottom all the time, i was thinking a gar, pike, or a muskie. Something slinder like loki but more active. Chunk is only around 16ish inches long right now and loki is around 12 or 14 so theres still tons of room in the pool pond to add a couple more fish especially if they occupy a seperate column of water. I dont really like arowana plus they tend to be really jumpy. I really want a spotted or florida gar but all the pet store i go to have are alligator gar. I dont think a gator gar would be a bad idea because even though yes they get 8+ feet long...an 8 foot gator gar is 70 years old easily. They hit 2 or 3 feet pretty fast and then slow down emensely, sorta like a rtc so im torn. Florida and spotteds are prettier but gator gars are cool looking with the wide snout and gnarly teeth. What should i do with the extra space in my pool pond?

He's currently on a power lifting schedule similar to that of the Rocks! Only the Gulper isn't take any french toast breaks! So he'll be retaining the Biggest on TH-cam crown in no time!
