- My big pool pond gets some new native fish! It's about time this pond was back on track and adding new fish to the pond is very exciting. I can't wait to do some feedings in this big pool pond and the go pro will be a much utilized pool!

For your next diy big pond you should do a water fall filter!!!!!!
Last fall I caught a GIANT gar out at Two Rivers (the lake before you enter the park). He would be a fun addition

Get a hybrid, white bass or freshwater striped bass for the pond.
You should get some freshwater drum of freshwater Buffalo/ large native cyprinids for the pond, it would look so cool!

I think that a crappie would be nice. I know not for that pond because of the predators but they are really cool looking, they are gonna need some of the same things as your other fish, and we have never seen a video on one in this channel.

Do Fish and Game ever ask questions about keeping native species? Would putting a second hidy hole give that bass a spot to hide and lessen the chances of conflict?

Do you have any recommendations on where to get an aquatic heater large enough for a 300+ gallon pond and keep it a tropical temperature?
Are you going to add a bowfin in there he would be awesome with the bass but a pair of white bass or hybrid would be cool too there active and always swimming and id love to see them in captivity to learn more

After watching your videos, I went and caught a large mouth bass fingerling hes about 0.5 inches long. 💙😍 his name is "trout bait" because at first we thought he was a minnow 🤣🤣🤣
Got two flatheads over the weekend. One in a 300g pond and one in a 40 breeder as a grow out tank
Love the huge native pond. Try getting some green sunfish, they are my favorite sunfish. The bass looked small in the 150, once you held it up it was clear he is no small fry!
Should get a baby smallmouth bass to grow out, I’ve caught more smallmouths that were pushing 20 inches than I’ve caught largemouths that were 15 inches lol.
I love these Ideas but if you set up an outdoor pond for fish what do you do in the winter to care for the fish. I could not just bring the whole 150 gallon in the house so what do I do?
How about some midsizw wipers or white bass for it?
Caught some small roach in the kidderminster canal,worcestershire, england today...I would like to suggest a northern pike for your pool....Really enjoy sc fishkeeping...

I caught a tiny small mouth bass yesterday and wanted to keep him just don’t know much about them are they harder to keep than a largemouth??
They eat, a lot, and are more aggressive than the largemouth. So if you have anything else in tank with it or plan on adding tankmates, be careful.. The one I had would bully my 15 year old turtle when they shared a tank for a while and absolutely shredded and outright beat the crap out of a black crappie and yellow perch that were both larger than itself overnight.They can be personable. Mine was always very active, knew me by site, and it would handfeed, jump for nightcrawlers, and I could even pet it. They're awesome and fun to have, though, and will eat a variety of foods.

That little bait joint was pretty awesome. wish I had one of those near me. Unfortunately I live in Wisconsin and there are a lot of untrustworthy individuals who live in this state so yeah, maybe not a good idea!
All depends on the area you live. Couldn't trust anyone but a handful of people when I lived in Milwaukee but up in the Northwoods it was a different atmosphere.
Also selling live sunfish is illegal in Wisconsin lol

My small bullhead that’s ab 4 inches will kill anything I had a small bass in his ta k and he ate it I’ve also had some green sunfish twice the size of him and he killed them. There very aggressive
