If you want to start making TH-cam videos to your own channel but something is holding you back, what's the reason? Let me know and maybe I can help with some words of advice :-)
Thank You.
I've been trying to start a channel for a long time, but I don't have the confidence that what I have to say will be accepted. I want to start a travel channel, reviewing resorts, airlines, trains etc. Fear of criticism is paralyzing me. ..thanks for any advice you can give.
@@heather2087 Personally, I think people would be very interested in those topics. Unlike me, I have nothing to offer it seems. I would like to start a channel as well, but I don't feel like there is a platform out there for people like myself. I want to discuss things that big corporations would likely frown upon (like mindless consumption), so I'm not sure what to do at the moment.
Deciding the "what" to post about AND I don't want to bore my peeps. Creating engaging content.
@@heather2087People tend to criticize anything and everything sometimes. I'd rather be criticized for doing something I like than be criticized for not doing anything at all. That's my humble perspective
I admit I was very attracted to her channel at first, and I even started one of my own. And I’m very happy for her and I don’t have anything really negative to say about her channel, but every video is the same. I have stopped watching her videos because there’s no content anymore That appeals to me. All it is is what she’s doing what she’s buying there’s no real meat to her videos. And I’m not convinced that it’s 100% authentic because it’s hard for me to believe she hasn’t looked at her numbers until she has the camera going, but I could be wrong. Again, I’m happy for her. She has accomplished a lot with her weight loss and to go from working 12 to 14 hours a day, single income, and now she’s able to afford things she never could before that’s fantastic. I just don’t know how long these type of videos will work for her. I just get nothing out of them so I don’t watch them anymore.
Great points! And you’re right, it’s probably not 100% “authentic at that time” when acting shocked at her numbers… I’m sure she knew them before recording…. But maybe she records very shortly after seeing them so she can capture her excitement? Not sure… that’s probably what I would do…. Plus I’d also need to slam down several energy drinks and wait 30 minutes…. THEN maybe I could jump around like that lol!
You hit the nail on the head. There’s no meat besides that 1 video. I believe she got somewhat lucky and i’m glad she’s gotten some reward for her contributions to TH-cam but like you, I couldn’t watch beyond 2 minutes mainly because her style of video is not my cup of tea.
@theridingzebra
She deserves the break because she has been at it for a while, but you're so right. There's nothing different in her new vids. I click on them, but for some reason, I never really complete watching the entire video. I'm happy for her, though.
I pray, that one day I to will reach monetization status (because I'm unemployed) but more than the money, I'm just grateful for a space on this platform to share the good news and send prayers to encourage others. I want to learn how to deliver good content and how to do so with confidence. I prefer to grow organically so as I mature on this platform, I'll be able to provide more, with the experience I have grown into. It's a whole different kinda empty feeling when you blow up and after that one viral video, you have nothing of value to feed your subscribers. People will subscribe, then change their minds, and I tell you, if I lose one subscriber, it will hurt me...lolz so I want to provide content to win them and retain them.
It would really hurt any content creator to lose subscribers by the 100's. It"s hard to see the people who once believed in you and subscribed; have to go just because now, when they come across your channel, I have nothing to give.
@@RobtheMaritimer lol I was thinking the exact same thing.
@@reviveflourishandthrive I totally agree. Today I think she made an attempt with the hanging her curtains up along with a motivational message which is the same.
I think her success is her authenticity. She is relatable.
Yes she absolutely is :-)
1000%!!!
I’ve been fortunate enough to have my channel blow up in the past month. Went from 7k subs to 35k subs and have had some great Adsense revenue. But I’ve used a different approach than Doughdash. I don’t see how she can build a community and have long term success with the channel. It seems like a flash in the pan. But good on her for capitalizing on the momentum!
Wow that's fantastic growth! Congratulations!! And there is DEFINITELY more than one way to grow a channel... some ways will better sustain growth than others. Fresh content is key! Yes, a bubbly personality in her case helps... but that may get stale after awhile if she doesn't bring in some new content or make different types of videos... try new things. Hopefully she does that! ANd I wish you continued success as well :-)
@@RobtheMaritimer I will say I watched and watched her, and got to the point that it is somewhat annoying with the yelling..lol BUT, I think if she pivots into fitness, or something would be great for her... She is fun to watch but she has to move onto something interesting.. and I really believe she has the spunk and determination to do whatever it takes..
Hi Rob! It seems like a lot of creators are going back to the old days of TH-cam.( 2008 ish era). Point and click/record without all of the fancy editing. I appreciate your content!
I've noticed that too... and that's awesome for people who don't want to spend hours and hours editing... you don't have to! Thanks for commenting :-)
Great ❤
I've been seeing her videos all over YT along with the struggling channels trying to emulate her. I had a viral video about a year after I started my YT channel. It was titled "Real Life On Social Security". I got 18,000 new subs overnight & my next AdSense check was $6,500. I continued to make videos about living on SS, but never was able to grow my channel. YT never promoted it again
Thanks for sharing :-) When you have a video take off like that and grows your channel quickly, it's important to spend a lot of time in your analytics and try to figure out what was it about that video (or videos) that worked. Was it the thumbnail/title? Check the CTR. Was it the retention? Check the retention graph for places in the video(s) that held viewers. Did you hook the viewers early and keep them engaged? Was there a ton of content that people just wanted to eat up? these are the things to look for... and when you think you know why it was successful, try to think of what ELSE that audience would like to learn from you... and make a video (or videos... it could take several attempts) to help fill that need. It's all about trial and error. There must be a reason 18k people subscribed to your channel... there's something else they want from you. Try to figure out what it is ;-) And best of luck with it!
People relate to her struggle and are happy with her success, clicks equal views and TH-cam pays that.
She is very relatable to a lot of people :-)
Go Dough Dash!! Protect your new dough get an LLC.
Your channel is so positive and i just love you for that! It shows you can review someone page without being very critical and seeing the positivity in what they are doing. My take on door dash is working for her money not doing bad things for money. Just support her and send her love and prayers that God continues to show how to help others and live in purpose.
Thank you! I might have to change the title of this video though... as some people think I'm putting her down. I'm absolutely NOT putting her down... I'm happy for her and I wish her continued success! She's fun to watch :) Those who think I was putting her down... I think maybe they just saw my title and thumbnail and "assumed" that's what I did... but they must not have even watched the video :) So thank you! You obviously watched the video :-) All the best to you!
Amen to that 🙏 🙌 👏
You're so right🤗.
She was at about 8k when she got monetized for this channel about 5-6weeks ago. She used to do food delivery when she went viral, but she has been really consistent for 4 years prior to blowing up. I went and looked at her first video. She has been manifesting all along. It's her season, and we should be happy for her. She has been putting in the work for it. About the money situation, she begged (and people freely and willingly contributed), we can't fault her for people's lack of wisdom and discernment. What I would say though, if anybody else wants the same result, they just gotta be consistent, be themselves, and show up everytime, thats the secret.
Great words of advice :-) Thanks for watching!
@@Black____ you're so right hun, but me as a believer, I'll ask where is the discernment. I stumbled upon her channel when she started to go viral and when I saw ppl sending cash apps left right and center, I just prayed. I said Lord, have your way because I didn't even know you could do that on TH-cam. This is the internet loveey, we've got to be wise❤️🤗
The only thing that disappointed me was after all the cash apps received, the 13mins course info should hv been freely given as a thank you for the way folks helped in time of need but, we will learn. We're living in the last days and men will be lovers of themselves. The word tells us to be wise. If it happened to you or anyone you know, I'm so sorry to hear that. Most folks genuinely tried to help. There are still really beautiful people outhere but because of their gentle heart, they need to walk in wisfom. God continues to be the righteous judge. He continues to be good and faithful...be blessed❤️🙏🏼🤗🫶🏼
Yes. Posting consistently is the key to succeeding. That’s why she started growing. She posted consistently. I saw hints being thrown out for people to send money too and people actually sent her donations. I’m just shocked people have that much money to donate to a stranger but she was very fortunate they did donate to her before the checks came in.
Thanks for this video Rob, you made some great points! I have to say that I'm so pleased for Dough Dash. I've been through a difficult financial time in the past myself and it's really tough when you're working your socks off for very little money. She's worked really hard on low pay and deserves the break. And even if it doesn't last, the kind of money she's making right now really is life changing to someone in her position so I think it will change things forever for her.
I agree! It’s nice to see people rewarded for their hard work :-)
I dont really understand how she blew up like that but your right she dont start adding different content that fire gonna burn out quick, really already waiting too long. Only reason she still doing good is cause videos like this are keeping her going and there are plenty of em
Yes, once something starts trending (as "Dough Dash" has been), many others make videos about it and that gives them a little bit of a boost too, absolutely. Hopefully she's able to pivot a bit and/or add something new to what she's doing before the demand starts levelling off.
I'm happy for her. I used to watch almost every one. But lately been watching most new creators and bouncing around. Cuz everyone is trying new things. So it is exciting to see so many new people on TH-cam. They see that they don't have to be perfect with thier editing. makes things interesting.I haven't watched as much dough dash lately, but I do still watch her. Every 3 days or so. Especially since she has so much coming out, we're doing a no edit November, kind of thing and just getting comfortable in front of the screen and it is really great.
To just put stuff out there and not worry about the views So much. And just see what happens. Anyways, another great video.Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing! :-)
Fun. Exciting. Dramatic. Her authentic self revelling in her success and it’s lovely to see someone’s life changing so dramatically ❤
She is fun to watch :-)
Exactly! I love her!
One of the best dough dash reactions I seen so far.
I appreciate that, thank you :-)
Rob, thank you for your kind approach in discussing Dough Dash. Many TH-camrs stated that they were motivated by her. I started posting before I came across her channel. I like that she inspired the over 40 and over 50 low-key TH-camrs to stop waiting to upload videos 😅. Now, it’s time to be authentic and do what excites you to create. I’m enjoying the process. Thanks for your advice, it’s helpful to other TH-camrs as well.
That's awesome! Best of luck with your channel... and have fun with it!
I appreciate how you didn’t bring her down but rather are informing us.
Great insight. I’m here for the long game and authentic connection. Someone just told me they were going to play one of my play lists all the way through to get me watch hours and I graciously requested they not do this. It’s not authentic and I want my channel to grow organically. I’ve been at it about a year and a half. I’ll have to be patient.
I'm impressed that you turned that down... that was actually very smart of you. Many people don't realize that if your channel grows truly organically, that's how TH-cam learns what people really want to watch and what helps them identify who your ideal audience is. When people click your thumbnail/title and watch your video, and if they watch most of it, TH-cam learns that that person (and other people like them) probably liked your video... so TH-cam will send them MORE of your videos, AND may send your videos to other people like them. It's all data coming into TH-cam. The more videos you make, the more data TH-cam is able to get on you and your potential audience. That's how TH-cam learns, and that's how your channel will grow organically. You WANT your TRUE fans to be the ones who click and watch your videos... not people who were given a link and told to click it... that won't actually help TH-cam find your ideal audience... in fact, it may confuse TH-cam... they'd be getting bad data.
So good for you... don't get people to just click and watch your videos "as a favour"... because it really doesn't do you any favours :-)
Thanks for sharing! :-)
@RobtheMaritimer wow good advice thanks
@@RobtheMaritimer Rob I genuinely appreciate that you took your time to leave this comment back. I know how precious time is.
I thought he was going to bash her as well, and glad that he didn’t. There’s a lot of creators that build their channel by bashing others which is sick
@@LifeinthewyldewestI love seeing that too… taking the time to comment, no matter how many comments one gets!! 😊
I had never heard of her until you mentioned her. Finding your authentic voice is challenging. We all start copying or doing what we feel is right in our niches and then learn to relax and just be ourselves. Rob, stay out of the rain for the next video. I don't want you to get sick! 😊
Haha! I do like a nice walk in the rain sometimes!! Thanks for watching :-)
Very good advice...I will have to watch again and take more detailed notes! Thanks again!
Glad it was helpful!
You're so right. I watched a lot of her videos when I first came across here channel and it's great to see her success. But it got to a point that a lot of her videos were becoming samey. I'm not knocking her at all, but like you say watching the same things over and over get old.
Exactly :-)
She should save some contents and upload once a week
Excellent, mature analysis Sir 👏🏽
thanks :)
I noticed that your thumbnail got my attention, stirred curiosity and then helped move my attention forward by providing information and stirring more curiosity. Plus, you’re being “self”, authentic. So regarding the girls’ videos (which I’ve yet to watch), based on what you’ve analyzed, I’m thinking people like story and they like to be entertained. It may be that her growth and the attention she’s getting might be short term, something she can cash in on for now. I’ll watch, I’ll know more later. Cheers from Sue in Ontario.
Thank you for watching :-)
I watched that video and then I just let it fizzle out in my mind and then one of the TH-cam creators that I follow mentioned that video and challenged his viewers and on my birthday November 2, I took the challenge and started my.
I’m grateful that you’re sharing this message because I agree we all have something to offer offering to put it out there for us so why not put ourselves out there and share.
Well said! Thanks for commenting :)
I really appreciate this thoughtful video.
She’s amazing and gifted and it’s really disheartening to see so many people acting like crabs in barrel. She’s in Texas, you’re in Canada I’m on New York I’ve subscribed to your channel and others one creator in Portugal @Daphna and several in other states in North America. TH-cam is amazing!
Yes it is disheartening... she is definitely fun to watch :-)
Thank you for your insight!…just subscribed
Awesome, welcome aboard!
I think you tube picks what videos to push out when you first start out
It's all done automatically based on their algorithm doing its best to match videos with people who want to watch them. From a high level, it's very complicated :)
She is fun to watch I just hope to keeps her numbers up because after a year of the viral videos that watch time is going to go away that’s the risk there
She is fun to watch, yes :)
This is what I was talking about in my video I posted today once you get the people attention you have to keep entertaining and level up your videos to make them stay
Absolutely :-)
i enjoyed the video, at least you are providing value on things that we as TH-camrs need to look out before emulating her. good content sir
Glad you enjoyed it! :-)
Valid points! I had no idea who she is and will now check her out.
Thanks for watching :-)
What else is bad is that she says “ if your broke get on TH-cam “ you see a lot of success on TH-cam yes but for every person you see with thousands of views and thousands of subscribers you don’t see the small channels that are working like crazy every day for years and is just going unnoticed and buried. TH-cam isn’t a get rich quick and if you are lucky enough to make money it can all be taken away so quick. My channel makes maybe $200 a month and I know at any time the views can go away. You have to treat TH-cam as a hobby and not rely on it to make your bank account over flow. Grow a great community of friends because I’ve met some great people on here that we text and talk every day and we are states away from each other.
100% agree with you... TH-cam is NOT get rich quick... it's not usually "get rich at all"! What it should start out as is a hobby you enjoy doing... and if you enjoy it AND want to grow it into a business, you can work hard at that and perhaps make it happen. But it's like any business. Success won't just land in your lap... you have to work at it, you need a business plan, a strategy, and you need the motivation to work hard and learn from one video to the next. None of that can happen if you don't enjoy the entire process.
So definitely... DON'T "get on youtube if you're broke"... it's better to get on youtube while you still have a good job and start youtube as a hobby in your spare time :) Thanks for sharing!
All good and sound advice. I just found your channel and subscribed., -Marc
Welcome aboard!
I'm so happy for her ;)
Really helpful Rob. Thank you from Millionaire Paul 🙏
Happy to help! :-)
Great advise Rob! Thanks...moral of the story, don't keep all your eggs in one basket!
Absolutely correct! :-)
Oddly enough, YT algorithms steered one of her videos to come up on the
‘recommended’ menu on my Big Screen while I was browsing as a “Guest” and not signed in. I watched about a minute out of curiosity before switching out. I recognized her channel name in the video title here and that’s why I’m watching this one.
TH-cam sometimes works in mysterious ways! If you weren't signed in and TH-cam had no idea at all who you were and you hadn't watched any other videos before seeing what they recommended to you... it's likely that most of what they recommend are videos that are doing quite well across the board... so they tried what they tried. They have to recommend something :)
Going to check her out now!
I watched her for a month until the videos became solely about the next rise in subscribers and how the pay was increasing after she was monetized. Once the door dash content ended there was no more content to watch other than videos that were made to document subscribers and income going up. I hope she continues to succeed but you can paint yourself into a corner really fast if the only content you have is talking about your Adsense and growing number of subscribers.
I agree that it's important to not let your content get stale... sometimes that means changing it up and trying something new every so often... keep things fresh :-) Thanks for commenting!
I assist a successful content creator with their channel and I think people are getting this “authentic” term mixed up. No editing doesn’t mean authentic, no editing is just the creator being too lazy to create a compelling video or story to tell, just the truth. Editing doesn’t mean the person is being inauthentic, editing just moves the video forward.
I'm guilty of misusing the term "authentic"... you're right in that that doesn't necessarily mean "less editing". Being authentic is just being real, and you can be authentic while also doing more editing. However, I disagree with you when you say "no editing is just the creator being lazy". Many of the creators I talk to are beginners and start out not knowing how to edit at all, and they will learn as they go. There is no need for "heavy editing"... people are much more forgiving and are ok watching videos that have mistakes left in... so in that respect, minimal editing is fine. In fact, that often makes the video seem more "real" when you can see everything, mistakes and all. When beginner TH-camrs don't do any heavy editing... and do hardly any editing at all... they are not being lazy... there is a lot to learn and they are doing what they can... and that's perfectly okay :-) I think most over 40 beginner creators are not becoming creators for the love of video editing... they want to create and post videos, period. "video editing" for them is just a necessary evil they have to learn (even if just a little) in order to make videos. My thoughts :-) Thanks for your perspective!
@@RobtheMaritimer I agree I’m new and still learning
If you watch her videos you can tell exactly who she is. This is her 2nd monetized channel so she knows what's she's doing. She has said over & over that she doesn't want to work so she figured out that if she made a catchy thumbnail about finances she could make good adsense money. Problem is she has no real content except to say "you can do it, look how much I made".
Then after saying she didn't want to sell anything she came out with her embarrassing $19 13 minute video with basic information you can for free & now she's trying to sell clothes with some saying she came up with. She claims she made $1,400 a week Door Dashing & has a hair care product that made her $120k her first year but then goes online begging for money on Tick Tock & has multiple GoFundMe accounts to have people pay for her weight loss surgery & stops full filling her hair care product orders because she has no money. This is the same woman bragging she was going to Disney World with her Adsense money. No thanks. I unsubscribed her after a couple of her videos because she was too obvious.
If true, that doesn't sound good at all. There is certainly a way to make a living with youtube without resorting to such things!
@RobtheMaritimer I totally agree.
@vgardner1688 The part of not wanting to sell anything and then posting a video about selling products got me! Lol, all because social media platforms can be used as a marketing network to provide goods, services, entertainment, and / or valuable information, and most people know and understand that..
I'm all for her providing her community but if quality takes time, I think you should at least do that for the people, THEY DESERVE IT‼️
As you grow of course because many creators that are just starting out, or have limited equipment resources (including myself) are making videos as best as possible, but I'm some things shouldn't be rushed..
With all that said I hope she continues to grow and find what she can deliver!
I deep dived into other channels after I found her. This is her second TH-cam channel and she’s been monetized previously with 25k followers on the other channel. Other TH-camrs have broken down what she’s doing and it’s not surprising but still kinda sad.
Thanks for commenting :)
Another interesting part is everyone is talking about her (negative and positive) which is driving people to her channel which gets more views. People who imitate trends instead of being authentic to themselves may get a bump but it wont be maintainable. If it isn't you but just to feed the algorithm, you will burn out fast.
I completely agree! Thanks for commenting :-)
Her success is because of one reason...
1.God - its her time period.
Thanks for sharing :-)
Ameeeeen and Ameeeeen 🙏🙌👏
I watched two and a half. It was enough.
I am pleased for her but still… there is nothing to learn for me personally and it’s not something for me to aspire to.
It’s appealing but also copy cats will never be cool.
It’s not the type of content for everyone… but does have an audience that’s she’s found :)
I've been watching doordash for a minute and her first TH-cam check was actually like 1100 and she's kind of documented over the period of time so her first check was an 8,000. She's actually progressed.. and she's been on TH-cam for over 4 years
Thanks for sharing :-)
Excellent points as always. I have had many of the concerns that you've raised. Great food for thought.
Thanks for watching!
Good information and alot of positivity about her. 🎉
Thanks for watching :-)
Rob you are doing great! ❤🇨🇦❤ Your right, how to replicate what is working on TH-cam. You need to build buckets of content that works. Doing a video over and over about how much money I made can get boring quickly. I do love her message and excitement. She is so authentic & Fun! Thanks I started my channel yesterday👀 I am 59, Live in Ontario and I am doing very little edits, raw and real old lady lol.
Congratulations on getting started!! Have fun with it... that's the surest way to stick with it! Best of luck :-)
@@RobtheMaritimer thank you for being so kind 💜Sandy. So far I'm so excited I wake up at 4am ready to go

She should reinvest part of that money into her brand so she can build something strong for the long haul. Awesome video my friend😁👍🏻🙌🏻
Sounds like a good idea :)
Having watched a lot of what she's doing and the reaction to it, I don't think her content was a recipe for long term success...but what do I know?
If you go watch her other channel, you will see that she had a niche. She was very polished. She knows how to make good content, but what she is doing now is working, and it's making her money. So, do what works, I guess.
@@tonyroan75 It's definitely working now, but long term? I guess we'll see.
I think it’s all about trying new things that you think your audience I’ll like. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I do agree that what DD says is doing now… although it’s working right now, I think she needs to eventually find some new content or a new angle… or the type of content she makes may become stale. Keep trying new things :)
Great advice Rob. Thanks as always 😊 Really appreciate it.
Thanks for watching :)
These types of things are tricky. We all love to see someone get a stroke of good fortune and cheer them on. However, that soon gets old and people/viewers will very soon become jaded and those videos, if they continue along that line of format, can even cause the audience to completely abandon or turn against the content creator. Humans being humans, it very quickly goes from cheering them on to feeling like they're just rubbing it in.
Interesting take! Thanks for sharing :-)
I do like her Videos. She has done some great Videos, but her new ones kinda tune me out. I like your videos, keep it up..Thank You.
Thanks for commenting :-)
I’ve been vlogging for years, when i started really studying the analytics it seems there is a particular balance you have to strike with overproduced content and raw moments. Took me some time but it looks like I’ve finally figured it out. I have no desire to try and make 2 videos a day from my car
Overproduced vs raw moments... that's insightful and I'm sure there's something to that. Maybe it's just changing it up every so often so the audience doesn't get bored with the same thing all the time. I totally agree with you. AND two videos a day from your car is indeed a lot!
So true! This is a dangerous path if there is no further thought, strategy behind her channel. Anyone showcasing weight loss and ways to make a quick buck will attract viewers.. I don’t see value in her content personally. My concern is what TH-cam will turn into, if they don’t have some form of standards. 😊
Weight loss and how to make money... those are two of the "highest paying" niches to get into... BUT only if the creator knows how to make videos for those niches... and knows what they're talking about ;) People have to find the "best niche for them" :-)
I've watched several of your videos about TH-cam, but keep wanting to hear more about you being a Maritimer... please do tell us more about your YT name
lol thanks :-) Perhaps I’ll do an introductory video like I suggest other people do :)
I’d appreciate if you’d give your honest opinion about her digital product. By what you’re saying people will be more encouraged to buy it and then be disappointed just like myself… I think you were bit afraid of saying it out loud which is not bad but honest
Fair enough. The thing is, I didn’t buy it to learn anything other than how she is choosing to monetize her channel… so I wasn’t expecting anything earth shattering for myself. I study channels and the different ways people are turning “making videos” into “making income”. So for me, $19 was a small price to pay to learn what she’s doing. For me it was research :) I wasn’t expecting to learn how to make videos… I already know how to :) I don’t think anyone will reasonably expect to learn everything there is to know about making videos for TH-cam for $19… there are far more in-depth “courses” out there you could spend thousands on… some are worth it and some aren’t… it depends on what the individual needs to learn. That said, I am also not endorsing her product either… and it was never my intention to do so. I hope that helps explain my position… even if I still didn’t provide a review of the value of what she’s selling.
I also wanted to add… and this is for anyone who wants to monetize outside of TH-cam by selling something. Just make sure you’re providing value for the money you’re asking for. You can charge whatever you want… but if the buyer doesn’t think you’re “over delivering” and feel like they didn’t get enough for what they paid, then they’ll become a 1-time customer and they’ll likely never buy anything from you again. So anyone wanting to grow a sustainable business with repeat customers… they need to be sure they’re over-delivering… and also even give some information away for free. I hope that helps! Thanks for commenting :-)
@ agree 👍
Really good points, Rob. Thank you! 😊
Thank you for watching, Doris :)
Exactly, it's good to be you and do you, people will stick around those who are authentic and have value to offer to viewers. It's always good to offer value and be willing to help others grow.
Edit: Yeah, content creation is a pattern and repeating content won't retain viewers, there has to be fresh and new content and that is who a content creator is.
Great point of view! Thanks for sharing :-)
It's all about to being authentic. The internet will turn on you quickly when you're fake.
People these days really enjoy watching people being "real"... 100%!
Now I need to show up to your live stream and ask how to record in the rain lol
Haha! Everything worked out alright... the phone and mic seemed to handle it ok. It was only misting... it actually looked worse than it was when I watched it back :-)
@@RobtheMaritimer thanks Rob I appreciate you. I will show up on Tuesday to your live too
That's a rain of information Rob! Is my statement even English? I'm still learning 😅
Haha I get the idea :-) Thank you!
What's different of her is her Doordash funny skits that will give her success in long run she is halarious 😂
She's very entertaining indeed :)
@RobtheMaritimer You are so precise with your analyzing.... keep the videos coming!!!!!!!!!!!
She also has to pay taxes on that as well. TH-cam is sales it comes and goes in waves
I liked her videos at first but now I’m really tired of same ol same.
She may lose some viewers unless she pivots and makes videos about something a little different :-)
Yeah, I seen her and watch a couple videos of hers, but here’s the thing- why would you ever tell how much money you get from anywhere/anyone? Rule #1, NEVER tell your income on anything, maybe it’s just my generation…..
That's a good question... and yes I do believe it's a generational thing, somewhat. Younger people don't tend to have as much trouble sharing their earnings these days. But there are definite privacy concerns to think about! Thanks for commenting :-)
Definitely generational :). I grew up with that teaching but being part genx and part millennial (1981) I’ve watched things shift and it’s empowering and motivating to know the reality of what people are making with what they are doing. Plus it keeps employers from screwing you if you’ve got a 9-5
If she didn’t talk about her Adsense revenue she would not have an audience.
I agree with others. I enjoyed watching the first few videos, but the squealing and “exhortations” quickly got old. I’m worried that this will crash around and she will back to driving for door dash. I know she is listening to some of the pros because she’s started selling “product”.
Thanks for commenting :)
Great video! It’s been awesome to watch Dough Dash, I’ve definitely been inspired by her. The fact that she’s been on YT for 4 years and pushed her way to great success tells me that she will continue to make it work. It starts with that deep desire then consistency. And yes, authenticity is where we are at now! My channel is growing steadily and that’s okay, I’m here to connect, have fun and be here for the long term. Not looking to copy others to cash in. Happy that others feel the same out there!! Keep rocking it! 🎉
Hers is an inspiring story for sure! Best of luck with your channel :-)
Her click bait made me unsubscribe. She hid my comments 😂
That can certainly happen :-)
I wanna start a store when I get a bigger following design shirts of encouragement for people
That's a great idea! You can use Canva to design them and then a print on demand service like Printify to supply them. Good luck with it :-)
I believe people will start to turn on her because it’s a video every day about how much she is making. I’m all about people breaking out into the algorithm after working hard and enjoying what they do. You can tell the ones that are genuine and the ones that isn’t and the ones that hit starts to evolve there channels and grow. I can’t watch her videos anymore because it’s the exact same and the “acting” to me feels fake and over the top and it’s always a SHOCK video. Maybe my opinions are wrong. Last year I went from 5k subs to 10k and it was amazing and it was over night but it leveled off and that’s fine. For me TH-cam is a hobby and as a single dad with a full time job TH-cam gives me something to kinda chase and be a hobby that I can see as a outlet to creat and see if I can grow and eventually when my kid grows up he will have all these videos of me and me and him and even my brother and my dad that he can watch and it be like a time capsule.
Love your videos and sorry for the long comment lol
Thanks for sharing! And I love the "time capsule" idea... I think about that too. I made a video called "Leaving a Legacy" a couple months ago on this exact topic :) Cheers!
@@RobtheMaritimer I’m gonna have to find that video and give it a watch. My kid is 10yrs old so my channel is 5yrs old now so I got videos of me and my son when he was 5 and his little kid voice and energy and everything I can go back and just enjoy and it feels like I made that video yesterday
@@CarverFamily That's awesome. I think you'll enjoy this :)

If you pay attention to her closely, you may see some sketchy behavior between her and dash of faith. I remember she did a video where she talked about having car trouble and it costing her $300 to get her car back. I then see Dash of Faith in her comments saying he would cashapp her $300 right then an there. She provided her cashapp in the comments and she indicated that she received it. I thought that was extremely kind of him and from that, I went to check out his channel. He had a large viewer base, but the first thing I noticed is that he had a number of videos where he told his viewers to check out dough dash's channel in the first few seconds of his videos. I found that to be kind of odd personally. Now Dash of Faith's channel has been deleted.
That doesn't sound good!
"Real" in today's over stimulated, AI, world is money. Also, it has a lot to do with personality...authentic and personable will win every time. She will need to tweak over time.
100% agree with you Jason :-)
She inspired me
She’s inspiring a lot of people :) Good luck!
She is really resonating for sure ;-)
I said it before and I will say it again, Dough Dash makes very good content for some people but not for others. And this is not my way at picking at Dough Dash, but letting every content creator that reads this know that there are literally billions of people on TH-cam and not all people like the same content from the same person. So, as long as the content is good for a certain group of people, then the content will eventually stick to those people. When you do this longer your content will get better and will attract more people. There are channels that I follow for many years now, and there are channels that I follow for only a few weeks and then I move further. So, as long as you keep improving your content every time you make a new video, and you keep posting, then eventually you will gain a larger and larger audience.
I agree 100% :) Thanks for sharing!
Great take on doughdash, its exactly what I told her in my last comment on one of her last videos, that we love her for her authenticity and to continue in that path, but lately I have stopped watching, reason being, she's posting way too much about her earnings, which is considered , financial niche, and she caught up on that, that paying her more for views directly related to financial, so I personally find she's loosing authenticity so I stopped watching her for now, not saying I won't watch her again but not for now, she needs to post more just about her daily then only showing us her earnings, it becomes very repetitive, great video by the way, loved your very intelligent take on her instant success , wishing you the best as well for the new year
Thank you :-) I hope she's able to pivot and keep her success going! :-)
Follow back gang here! Let's get it!!
Thanks for watching :-)
@RobtheMaritimer no problem. Great video. Hopefully my channel will grow also.
This stuff is crazy
Her channel is spam like to me.
It's definitely not for everyone :)
BAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHA HA HAHA ha he... Ahhh HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, sorry never understood how that repetitious content lasted as long as it did. Awesome that she actually got monetized, but she's gonna have to do more...
I know you did this video for views and to talk about a relevant topic but this was a bad play. If you can’t see she’s acting then you’ll know soon enough. I guarantee you her channel will be irrelevant before the end of the year. People are starting to realize she’s not who she says she is
Thank you for watching and commenting :)
Nice pattern interrupt!
Thanks for watching :-)
Are you a Detroit lions fan ??
The odds favor it. He wears the hat. Go Lions!
100% YES! Been a fan since I went there for my first NFL game in the late 90s. It's nice to finally cheer for a good team! I went to their home opener this year... awesome experience (and nice OT win over the Rams :)
@@RobtheMaritimer I'm from Detroit I've been a lions fan since I was 10 for for 54 years. I been watching loosing teams. Not this year !!!!!! I have a channel but I'm stuck with negative thoughts and just can't be consistent with posting videos. I like your content so I'll keep watching and maybe one day I'll get started.
Hey, why are you concerned with channel? @doughdash is fun and down to earth not sure how long newer content will last…God will determined every small and large YT channel longevity and increase net-worth 💰💫🎉🙏🏼 I hear you tho!
Yes, she is fun and down to earth and I enjoy her videos... and I wish her nothing but the best of success :-)
I just can’t stand the begging for money and claiming go be struggling when people paid for her weight loss surgery and bought her a car. She goes on expensive trips. Begging for money on IG and TH-cam. It’s a no for me.
I have to admit I don't know much about her back story... AND her videos aren't for everyone... but she certainly does have a great following! That's the thing... I believe there's an audience out there for everyone... but not everyone has the same tastes. Everyone has their own preferences for what creators they like... and even successful creators have some people that don't like their content. TH-cam is huge :-)
✅ 🚀 ❤ 👉 Who is Dough Dash?
She's a TH-camr... I put a link to her TH-cam channel in the description above :)
Clickbait lately, the Eviction Vid floored me. I was concerned for her...also why not help the folks you made $$$ off of telling their story I was inspired and now....
Her and Dude don't at london act the Same
I'm not believing she's making that kind of money !I reckon youtube is sponsoring her to get people to join youtube.
I don't believe that to be the case... the numbers seem right to me, given the views she's getting and how many videos she's producing. I just worry she may "run out of steam" or her viewers may grow tired of the content unless she brings something new to the table at some point :-)
So why are you making a video about her in so much detail?
I made this video because my viewers asked if I would make a video giving my take on her success and what I thought her secret to success was. Why and how beginner TH-camrs are having success is something my audience is interested in :-)
I think making videos about other people is corny, tasteless and hypocritical in a way. Everyone on TH-cam is trying to express themselves and make a living, theres enough for everyone, you dont have to crap on somebody elses work.
"You don't have to crap on somebody else's work" - I agree 100% :-)
Come on Rob. I'm surprised that your humble self is gone and now you're taking on the dogmatic persona that apparently comes with everybody who gets a few more subscribers. Please become grounded again. Please. You're coming across as all wrong. This isn't you, and you may want to listen to your own advice. I'm hearing that you're putting her down at times and then back peddling a little. Maybe because you're using the new "1 take video" - your stream of thoughts weren't as susinct as normal. - Please don't get me wrong, I admire you for you and used to be 1 of 4 attending your live streams for a long time... so I feel like I've been there for this progression. I just hope I don't see the regression.
I’m not sure why you thought I was putting her down… that wasn’t my intention at all. I’m sorry you took it that way. Thanks for the feedback.
Subscribing because I think your so adorable, kind and handsome 🩷
Thank you for the kind words :-)
Hater!!! Out of all the problems you have, you decided to hate on her. Please focus on un yourself. Get your priorities in order. She not thinking about you.!
Did you get that from my thumbnail and title? You obviously didn't watch the video or you'd know I was not putting her down at all. If you did watch it, then I apologize for whatever I said that led you to believe I have anything against her. I have no idea what that could've been. All the best to you :)
Her content has been stale for ages all she does is clickbait her subscribers she should have stuck to door dash videos or found a niche. Lol you didn’t buy that $19 scam
If you make the same video everyday with nearly the same title about the same TH-cam check and the same false hope about how simple it is to make money on TH-cam ( and it isn’t) then you DON’T have to think about content ideas. 😂 And that gets old real fast. She is earning what she is because she stays on the topics of making money on YT, which has a higher CPM. BUT in those videos is very little information of substance, and not much experience. She won’t last long without finding some creativity somewhere. I find the content boring and annoying and spammy at this point. Told TH-cam not to recommend it or any of the grifters copying her.
It is definitely important to keep content fresh and engaging :-)
