    My review: mynexttablet.com/lenovo-tab-p...
    The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is a new premium Android tablet that features a large 120Hz display, a fast MediaTek Kompanio processor, lots of storage, as well as a very long battery life. You can get it with a good Lenovo Precision Pen 3 and a great keyboard cover. I also like that you can connect it to an external monitor or use it as an external screen for your Windows device.
    What do you think of the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2?

    Excellent review . I have noticed a huge improvement to the Lenovo P11 plus . The OLED display and the 120 hertz makes a difference. It’s definitely worth going fit the Lenovo P11 pro 2 gen which you have reviewed .

    Really like your tablet reviews! Question. In one of your reviews (I think it was for the Samsung S9+) I noticed that you had Lightroom on it. In your opinion; what is the best tablet for Adobe creative cloud? I'm a graphic designer and looking for a "on the go" tablet with pen. Lenovo looks very great, but maybe Samsung is better? On paper this tablet sounds amazing. Great screen, speakers, processor etc... Unfortunately, it is completely let down by Lenovo's horrid ZUI. It's been 4 weeks and I've experienced random app crashing, taskbar malfunctions and multitasking bugs. There are numerous threads about it on Lenovo's support page. I'll wait for one more update to see if they address any of these issues. In the meantime I'll be switching back to my $200 iPlay40.

    I got one of this, thinking that it would be ideal for me because of price/specs, with special emphasis on the OLED display. But ended up returning it because of display quality. Do not know if all are the same or it was just mine but on low brightness the blacks where greyish, it had a sort of band at each short side end and the definition was bad. And when switching to EXTRA ATTENUATION (even less brightness) it got even worst. A pity because I was convinced that it was the right device for my needs.
    Now either will go cheap and get one iPad 9 if a deal around 300€ gets in sight or will splurge if a good deal on a Samsung TAB S8+ appears.

      I just bought a P11 (not the pro version) and it has the same issue just 3 days in. Don't know if I will keep it - I can still return it. Like John, I thought this tablet would be the bomb as it looked good, felt good and set up easily. Performance on days one and two was excellent. Then on day three an update installed and that was when the screen dim thing happened.

    • @johnmeyer457
      @johnmeyer457 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ramspencer5492 I have commented this in other places and some people also have found the screen to be awful. Others find the screen to be great though. Maybe Lenovo are not that good at quality control and some bad screens pass undetected. Screen looked fine to me (not amazing) until I went to minimum brightness, then all the defects where at sight as brightness tends to mask them.

    Been using mine since sept 2022. I have the SD870 CN ROM variant with 8gb of ram. No updates since sept and the real downside is the notifications. Delayed notifications even with turning off notification snoozing, putting the apps on unrestricted status and locking apps so that they dont close, still dont get notifications which is very annoying. It also doesn't have productivity mode which is also a bummer since i also bought the official keyboard, the freestyle app also doesn't work, been trying it since day 1 with no success. Just get an apple or samsung tablet IMO.

    Hello, very nice presentation, it helped me to better know this tablet which seems very interesting to me.
    I have a question. During the video at the beginning you show the two tablets side by side and on the one on the left of the screen (I think it's the P11 Pro Gen 1) we see that you have a notification on the settings icon (settings wheels) and we sees a number in it as a notification badge while Lenovo tablets have the notification dot and the feature to choose counter or dot is not available like on Samsung, it's only the dot on or off. So how were you able to get a notification counter badge?
    I assume it was a third-party application that allowed you this modification? If yes, I would like to know it and is it reliable and safe?

    • @MyNextTablet
      @MyNextTablet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't install any third party application that would add this feature, so it's the stock Lenovo software.

    Nice video, as always. But I want to make a small remark.
    Testing the battery of a tablet by playing a video is not very correct and it's actually a test of the AMOLED screen and confirmation of its greater energy efficiency compared to an IPS display. Therefore, in your top tablets with the best battery life there are tablets with AMOLED screens.
    But if you test it with mixed use, close to the real scenario, then this tablet holds a charge very poorly. I would even say it's pretty awful. I don't know if this can be fixed with a patch. Or maybe it's already been fixed, but I doubt it (In Chinese social networks, at the beginning of sales, they noted terrible autonomy, comparable to a regular smartphone).
    And if you take the fact that for many users white is the most frequently displayed color on the screen when using a tablet (usually reading, social networks, web surfing, sometimes typing and drawing), then this tablet will live very badly. Amoled screens consume a lot of battery when displaying white color (and if you turn on the dark theme during the day in lighting conditions, your eyes start to hurt, so for me personally it's not good).
    For example, Xiaomi pad in this scenario works for more than 12 hours, and this Lenovo - only about 8 or even less. And in general, tablets with an IPS display works longer. I saw a lot of testing and came to the conclusion: Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 (IPS 11') and Xiaomi Pad 5 (IPS 11') (mine, I charge it once in 3 days) are the best android tablets in terms of battery life. Well, Maybe Redmi Pad is great too.

    • @Adyx18
      @Adyx18 ปีที่แล้ว

      A fair point but it must be also highlighted that the P11 PRO GEN 2 has more pixels per inch (higher resolution) and a 120hz refresh rate and a huge 360hz touch sampling rate. There are no tablets with an IPS LCD display that come close to these specs. So it's normal to draw more consumption, though if you set it to 60hz I think it will improve massively.

    Most of us have kept tablets for over five years, so the lack of software support on this and other Lenovo products makes it a deal-breaker and def, not a good buy. These days most tablets will do a great job, so the important stuff is now software, ecosystem and quality. I would say that Samsung and Apple are much better choices for those keeping for years.
