  • A short video of Amiens 1918 in action at the East Anglia Model Railway Exhibition, at the Kettering Conference Centre, Kettering, 8th - 9th June 2019.
The show was one of the Layout's furthest outings to date, and certainly one of the busiest too, with hundreds of people turning up, to see Amiens and the many other wonderful layouts on display at the show.

This is a cool little model railroad. All the locomotive models are unique looking especially that Baldwin 10-12-D Steam Locomotive.

Fantastic layout! My great grandfather laid track around Amiens with the 23rd Battalion A.I.F. before they were thrust into the frontlines.

My grate uncal drove a locomotive in the war in his diary he wrote he hated brining up the men for battle because he knew most would die he was 1 of 6 and all came home alive one thing most trains would turn of or hide the light by may be it was him love the work

Hi Chris. Sorry for the late reply. Sadly can't remember off the top of my head, but it is all Peco set track on a 4ftx2ft board. I've set up a playlist which documents the full build, which will hopefully be of more help.
      All the best

WW1 trench railway is something very high on our to-do list. It will be done as soon as we get suitable models made.
