Ban the character not because she's broken but because she everyone's go to. The matches become redundant and boring when seeing this character over and over!
that isn’t a good enough reason to ban a character. yes seein her in every tourney she’s allowed in gets annoying and redundant but banning a character just because she’s the best in the game isn’t fair. she doesn’t really have anything ban worthy in her kick cuz all of it can be counter picked
it is a good enough reason, she's unbalanced and it's a significant amount of more work when facing her. When it comes to high skilled matches the game should come more down to skill not the character being better. Counter picking still leaves you at a disadvantage in tournys and proves just how unbalanced she is. @@quantumAd

It absolutely is. If people are bored of watching/playing the gambecausese of a single character, thechangeses need to be made. Games die without a community, so a character killing the community would be ban worthy.

@@justified9537 i don’t think she’s unbalanced. if there are multiple ways to stop her than she isn’t unbalanced. even if she was unbalanced where was all this “ban this character” shit when the game was actually unbalanced? there was no ban akaza or ban enmu before the balance patch but everyone got tired of seeing them. counter picking won’t leave u at a disadvantage if u take the time out of ur day and get good at the game. learn the characters u need to learn and if u don’t want to do that then the solution isn’t banning her that’s stupid asl. she’s boring to watch fine yes i agree but banning a character that can be defeated is stupid.

I hope cc2 develops a new mechanic to make fights with projectiles more well rounded. A deflect/reflect system to create opens or counter, a way to dash through certain projectiles, just something that give more characters ways to approach.
Yes this is the big problem. There is almost no risk or cost to throwing projectiles out. Just extending the parry system to effect them as well could make all the difference

I honestly don't think so, from my perspective it's just a skill issue I have literally no problem with Susa
Most of every character in the game has a sniping move, which is her weakness just side dash, snipe, if your bad at the style just go into practice for like 10 min and you'll get it down

i just started playing this game about a week ago on pc and randomly chose Susamaru to focus my practice on because she looked cool. I had no idea she was such a contentious character for people lol. I'm having fun though.

Haven't been playing the game that much recently but here's my own tips so lmk what y'all think:
ED Tanjiro and ED Zen is a really good combo. I've been using them lately and got past Susa, Daki, and Enmu with them. They both have quick strong attacks and lvl 3 dashes along with lightning burst/firewheel to close the gap.
Makomo is actually a really good counter (been saying this for awhile). Her quadruple surface slash is what gives her 70% non surge combos but I haven't seen anyone use it. Her dp is perfect for zoners. Sami used it good only once and the 2nd time either it was heavily delayed or he just threw it out. He played way too defensively for whatever reason but he doesn't really look like a Makomo player. If you jump and waterwheel, that counters her bounding demon skill move and any lvl 3 dash gets to Susa before she can use her tilt skill
makomo isn’t that good of a counter tbh, her 2nd attack puts her in the air which is alr a bad thing cuz if you just push block the pressure is gone + the dp isn’t always that reliable, it goes through projectiles but no susa would spam light attacks at you cuz after the 2nd na string you can walk away also i believe sami is a makomo main but he’s just letting ed zen do the job and not initiating as much cuz it’s too risky
also using the tilt demon skill in neutral is kinda pointless as it’s a combo tool or escape tool in situational situations, and again most zoners won’t spam zoning as they don’t have a lot of block stun so most of the time you can just walk out of it
@@xarkieae you didn't really deny anything that I said. Why would anyone play expecting their opponent to spam? I usually use her dp against skills. Not light attacks. Learning to counter certain skills is never pointless. Besides, countering her tilt demon skill isn't a huge trump card. Yeah they nerfed Makomos movement but she can still
A. Escape her waterwheel and get distance or keep pressuring when she reaches the ground
B. Escape and use another waterwheel or water surface slash
C. Use an assist for pressure
It puts her in the air because if it didn't then she's be too broken. 1. It's too fast and 2. People need to stop using it soo much. Her surface slash is what people need to use for optimal damage. Sami looked scared to move in that set and his combos were pretty good but could've been better. If you don't know how to single TOD with Makomo then you shouldn't count her out.
@@xarkieae My example was 6:24 - 6:40. He kept his distance when really you shouldn't give Susa that much space to work with. Then he parried a ball and used her dp for absolutely no reason. Don't use it far. You need to use her dp close range and back it up with an assist to be safe if you're gonna guess. Also when he's dodging the balls he keeps moving backwards instead of closing the gap. 7:52 is a perfect example of when you should use her dp.
Not saying I'm better than him, just questioning his actions but I do know more about Makomo. I think it was just a bad match tbh. He kept accidentally running into balls. Jump for no reason and not blocking then at the end he only lost to a timeout
@@delanireid yea i didn’t deny anything i’m just telling you that she’s not that viable against a susa, mostly letting your assist doing work is better than initiating yourself against susas cuz it’s low risk high reward
I feel like pretty much having to pick ED zen is over centralizing to a degree, sure there’s other options but clearly these “top players” all chose ed zen to help take out susa. Also from my limited experience from playing certain fighting games, communities don’t really ban characters too fast in fact some say it should happen more often but that’s just my anecdotal evidence

Funny how nov 2023 they made a patch, but changed nothing about susa lol
Saying that "3D arena players are quick to ban" may be a fact but I think it has good reasons for this. 2D fighters tend to be built better from the ground up and have a greater emphasis on balancing than 3D fighters developers. This game fundamentally doesn't universally strong mechanics to deal with zoners, so they are not only strong due to incorrect balance but they are just playing a different game from the rest of the cast. If the unanimously strongest character in any competitive 2D fighter was buffed, this would be a complete outrage. I can't imagine the developers for T7 buffing Akuma or SF6 buffing luke(not best but pretty good) and the community taking it likely. You just showed top players playing against sus and lost each time, even in Tekken with Akuma if you had the same line up, the tekken plays could beat akuma even though he is the best and plays a different game from the rest of the cast. Sus is too strong and should be banned from tournaments.
