@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Massive Darkness is a pretty good fantasy themed dungeon crawl. A sci-fi themed crawl I enjoy is Space Cadets: Away Missions. Off topic, I finally have Twilight Imperium 4 in my collection.
The Discriminating Gamer I have never played Zombicide but am seriously considering this particular version as the movie theme and art style of Henning Ludvigsen in it appeals to me much more so than regular modern Zcide does. It has the Romero mode/Zcide mode character flipping with the relatives ghouls as well as the special breaker ghouls. Also rules for cornfields and woods to set it apart. The 10 Scenes (scenarios) will be playing out specific scenes in the movie. I also like that it’s a self contained game without tons of expansions. I do wish it were 20 bucks cheaper though or came with tiles for the basement and upstairs floor and minis for the vehicles. That would have made it perfect IMO.
very excited to see this, the model quality looks like it really stepped up here. the old models were good especially for single cast, but these look quite detailed. was this a retail copy you were playing?
I think the best changes they did are how some of the equipment works and the inside/outside-dynamic. Don´t care for the two classes they implemented and especially the connected search limitation. Don´t know if I am a fan of the mold and most other changes could be easily implemented in other Zombicide versions. I think this looks good but I would prefer Black Plague almost any day.
Wow, I ve just seen a zombicide game playthrough first time ever and find it so dull, i really dont get the hype behind these games. They can put a thousand skins to this game trying to milk the cow dry but it will never be beyond average. Definitely a pass. As a zombie themed game Dawn of the Zeds 3rd edition looks so much more interesting.
Dawn of the Zeds is a great game. Zombicide is a great game, especially if you play with more players. The basic rules are indeed simple, but it is a very tense, action packed game - especially Black Plague, Green Horde, and Invader. It's fun negotiating a strategy with your fellow gamers. I've had many games that came down to the wire. If it's not your cup of tea then it's not your cup of tea. As for myself, I really like this game.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Yeah, definitely not. You know those games you hear everyone talk abou and you start liking it just because you hear a lot about it? This was it, but after seeing it in action I wouldnt say this game has a lot of strategy to negotiate. I was considering adding a dungeon crawl type to my collection but this one feels like a downgrade from other Alien themed games I have, specifically Galaxy Defenders. Invader is much more simple and that s not bad, I actually like how it streamlined the rules. I would play it if someone else had it and asked me to join them. Thanks for the video
Thanks for the review. I got this game the other day and can't wait to play it.
I think you'll enjoy it.
Upvote for the Sgt. York reference alone.
Glad you liked it.
The most badass version of Zombicide
It's fun, for sure.
Ugh... I also enjoy the Fantasy Zombicide as well. This looks cool though. Dang it.... 😰
Ha! It is cool, Joel!
I love Zombicide, another game i have to own every expansion for :)
ReXross Indeed! Great game!
I really want to see a sci-fi themed "Massive Darkness".
I haven't played Massive Darkness, but the idea sounds cool.

@@LeeroyPorkins TI4 is the best.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer And you were a great help in my decision. Thanks.
@@LeeroyPorkins Have you played it yet?
What do you think about Zombicide Night of The Living Dead? Are you interested in that version?
I think it looks like a lot of fun, but it better have some new and interesting mechanics, because if its just a re-skin it will be a letdown.

@@KarimTheilgaard It does look like fun!
What is your favorite Zombicide?
Either Black Plague or Green Horde.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Don't you like Zombicide Invader?
I think it is the best of all.
@@DanielCedroGomes I like it, of course. But it is not my favorite.
Love the quick review! What’s the name of the opening song?
Thank you. Did you watch the entire video?
Ha! I obviously cut the video too short. Well played good sir. Well played.

It is a retail copy, as far as I know. The models were quite good.

I agree that BP is the superior game as well. However, this one does have it charms.
