Toyota pickup steering upgrade

This rack is from a Foxbody Mustang with Sport Steering. It's a good bit tighter ratio than the previous manual rack. I'm also trying out my new steel upper control arms. I designed these as a budget alternative to my adjustable arms.

Just did this to my 94 two weekends ago! Fantasticly awesome upgrade. Minor issue with the inner bolt holes on the crossmember, but nothing a larger drill bit could'nt fix. Before I cut my ends, I counted the number of full turns that the heim went in, and the tie rod went in (18 and 21 respectively). Then I came out enough turns to leave at least ten turns on each side, then eyeball lined the truck up, then measured twice and cut once, easy peasy. My eyeball alignment wasn't off by much when I took it for an alignment. Also... I wish I'd known about those upper arms!
