    Was a SWA ramper. When I finally went to Dallas for training after doing the job for 3 months, lol, I saw the FA students. They were still studying when we were going to bed. Respect to all the FAs.

      FA school is harder than a Bachelors Degree. Truth

      @gilmon43 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Jake Howie It is the truth, I have a mathematics degree and I studied harder in FA training than in college.

      Jake Howie Have you ever been a FA? I’m an airline pilot and FA training is in no way simple or easy. FA’s have a role of extreme importance on every flight.

      Jake Howie I know many highly educated flight attendants with advanced degrees. You need to get off your high horse.

      Jake Howie i’m not a FA dear, just can’t stand people like you with an over inflated sense of self-importance. Ignorance is a bigger pandemic than any virus, and you’re a confirmed case.

    It is a job. As a job, to really be competent, you must be professional. I give props/kudos for the professionalism of Delta flight attendant and their training staff.

    They haven't "outsourced" maintenance? Stunning.

    • @jmf5050
      @jmf5050 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Actually, some other airlines and even some military maintenance is outsourced TO Delta's maintenance, considered to be the best.

      I'd rather fly something ancient that Delta TechOps is maintaining than something new with a lot of other airlines. Yes, even the MD-88s. #SaveTheMadDogs

    The Delta employees presented themselves as competent professionals in stark contrast to the reporter who was immature and lacked respect. Operations and safety are serious matters in the industry and a proper presentation could have expounded on the topics instead of mocking or making light of them.

    Why did this give me anxiety? I’m not even a flight attendant, nor do I have anxiety of flying but, I’m literally panicking and don’t want to fly anymore lol!!

    • @flj7
      @flj7 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Samira Sufan the idea of an emergency on a plane is pretty scary. I just try to remember that airlines provide a lot of high quality training to their staff and they would be prepared for almost anything.

    Delta has the oldest fleet in the US, but at least they're getting rid of their ancient 717s and 767s if not the old 757s by 2025. 4:43 - (for employment selection) there's "no height limit, just if you pose a safety risk" = no obese people LOL. Like almost all main carriers in the US, their seniority-based crew rostering/promotion system leads to ...ahem...variable service standards onboard. "Hawaii-50" is a standard joke within UA/AA/DL!
