not only are you talented at leather goods, but these videos are excellent. Great job all around. Amazing work. I will keep watching whatever you put out!
Nice sandal with Buttero leather. Normally commercial sandals are made with lower quality leathers and soles that they can sell you again very soon.. Many street leather craftsmen in the Indian subcontinent make Sandal on the street from car tires and I have seen them. I bought a Reebok Sneaker in the late '70s made in Korea and the sole was supplied by the Dunlop tire company. That sneaker lasted 6-7 years, but rarely there is any decaying the sole, but the upper leather has gone first. Nowadays a new sneaker doesn't last even 6 months.
3:40 Left and Right aren't even close to being identical to each other, the right is completely off center, it's god awful. The straps were only glued in. The Rubber Tire was just glued to the bottom. Craftsmanship? In 30Deg heat they'll fall apart like bubble gum. Good from far, but far from good.
@@hellboundrubber4448 With the comment on symmetry and the timestamp you provided, I can't tell if you're trolling or just don't understand how perspective works. Have your complaints about the construction method if you like, the best thing about them not being yours is that it's entirely irrelevant anyway, but they're certainly not "god awful" in terms of consistency.
Amazing detail! I love watching you use that Japanese knife to do the tiny little cuts as your radius the corner. You can tell you’ve done it hundreds of times.
this idea (making tires into shoes) has been in my head every time i see a tire thread by the side of the road! thanks for laying it out! now i have to do it! great video!
I love your 'tyre tread' touch at the end, Hahns. I'm a fairly new subscriber but love your videos. Your attention to detail is second to none, whether it's your craftsmanship, your filming, your editing or your music choices. And it's the little touches you include that lift the extraordinary to another level. Glad your channel is growing. It's richly deserved...
Just randomly found your channel and instantly got hooked I love just watching hand made things being created it’s just so satisfying for me, on top with the calm music just got me really hooked. 😊
Старую резину брали или новую?) Если я хотя бы с одного колеса такую штуку, могу получить подзатыльник. Зато древних покрышек есть миллион. И какую брать лучше: летнюю или зимнюю?))
Think of all the tire waste that would not exist if most tires were recycled in this manner. Everyone needs a comfortable pair of shoes. Good thinking, Sir!
It is actually like tires sandals in Cu Chi, Vietnam. It is very durable. Saving tires, i love that. We also use old tires to make flower pots, swings,...hundred of things.
In the entire world, one of the most important things to do is giving a little joy to people. Your videos give me joy. Thank you so much. One observation: (I do this myself) Leather to leather - Water based Contact Cement (Aquiline 315?); Leather to rubber - Regular contact cement (like shoes) Is this correct?
Wow, very Beautiful Crafted Sandals, making use of your knowledge in Leather Craft and Recycling used tyres. Very useful in todays world where alot of things are thrown away.
Gosh! Is there anything you don't know how to make from leather? I have seen you do bags, wallets, holders for your lighter, key fobs, gloves and now shoes. You are indeed talented!
Credit to your beautiful artistic approach to an old theme-tyre sandals are nothing new in Africa and some parts of Asia-in Kenya it goes back some 65 years down the line.
I was wondering where you have been. And in case you didn't know, that leather company you buy your leather is now selling online. 😊. "Made by Five" shared the link 2 months ago. 😉yay. Good to see you. 🤗
Nice. I imagined an idea like this years ago. Might actually try it someday. On a side note, it’s funny to see the people confusing the word “waste” with the word “used”.
I wonder how comfortable the soles are for walking considering the original item is so unyielding in nature (for a good reason). Excellent choice of music 🥰🥰
Not bad - we had shoes in the 1970s in Australia called "treads" with a chunky tyre sole and kind of woven suede upper that buckled shut and were really secure and strong. I'd love to get hold of a pair today but they've pretty much disappeared. Each pair was unique - I wonder who invented them.
Imagin the confusion at a crime scene investigation when they fight over wether those are tire marks or foot prints
Brilliant 😁
@Brick overload better yet. BATMAN
Exactly what I was thinking
Auto bots *malicious laughter* roll out.
😳😂😂😂
a mother's weapon has never been so elegant yet brutal as this.
Дело идёт к зиме,пора шипованую резину ставить,вдруг гололёд😂
That's the newest waste tire ive ever seen, amazing result tho
Thanks dude!!
Glad I wasn't the only person who noticed that! LOL.
I was thinking the same, but then thought of expired tires. Maybe they're just too old to be sold?
@@ShaeSandybanks I had no ideia tires could expire lol but yeah maybe that's it

My uncle made these in the 70s , I’m so glad someone made those now
We haven't got the same definition for "waste tire"... XD
There is still the bar code on it 0:00 lmao
Chanclas con suela de llanta un clásico,Nice Job

And is it possible to start this business by yourself?
This kind of sandals are very common in India and very long lasting, I'm using one for last 4 years and it's still good.

Good idea for NEW expensive sandals, In Peru for many years we use this material to do sandals, here we call llanques 🤗.
Si pero rústico ojalá mejorara
