    I love the fact that everything is explained. A lot of instructional videos assume that whoever is watching knows what is happening but often it is not obvious or the viewer is inexperienced and so the video doesn't turn out to be as helpful as it could be. This one is great.

      thank you. At these sandals, we don't have many steps so i can spend time with each operation. But when i make something with many-many details, i have to make a compromise, jump over some steps and presume that the man who works with my pattern will solve some problems by himself.

      I bought that lasts more than 10 years ago from a factory that bankrupted . I made the patterns using the lasts but with my pattern, you don't need them.

    I know this is an old video, but I appreciate it very much. Would you consider these sandals to be guys sandals? I would like to make some for myself.

    • @VasileandPavel
      @VasileandPavel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The model is unisex; I have worn this model myself, and I currently wear something very similar (they are very comfortable sandals). I would widen the straps a bit, making them 3.5cm instead of 3cm, and 20mm instead of 1.5cm.

    I really like your pattern! I have 5 granddaughters that love sandals! It looks like you use pre-dyed vegtan leather. If I were to dye vegtan leather, would you recommend sealing the leather so it does not stain their feet? If so, what do you recommend using?

    • @VasileandPavel
      @VasileandPavel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      when I dye vegtan, usually I use Fiebings and I seal the leather with resolene. Dilute your resolene with water and seal the leather with 2 layers of resolene.

    There is no rubber sole attached to the bottom of the foam?

    • @VasileandPavel
      @VasileandPavel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no, that EVA foam is resistent enough, it have 9mm and it will last 4-5 years.

    What is the name of glue that you use?

    • @VasileandPavel
      @VasileandPavel  ปีที่แล้ว

      it is called PRENADEZ in Romania, it is a polychloroprenid adhesive (diluted with tholuene)

      Do you know which name could be used here in America?

      Can it be all purpose contact cement?
      And why do you think the glue I bought before once it is opened it gets hard! I see your glue container and it looks like you close it and it would be good to use next time.

    • @VasileandPavel
      @VasileandPavel  ปีที่แล้ว

      my adhesive is diluted with tholuene so I also bought tholuene. You can also use neophrenic adhesive, it have a different substance to dilute it but is as good as mine.I never used contact cement but I heared that it is a very good glue, too
