I initially thought "Pac-Man Level 256" was "Pac-Man 256," a completely different game (it's basically Crossy Road crossed with Pac-Man, an endless-runner game in which you're in an endless Pac-Man maze trying to stay ahead of a wave of destruction themed after the level 256 kill screen glitch, with a variety of interesting power-ups).

Randy Beltran Yep :) I even love the sequel for the NES called Mappy Land. I recommend you to check that game out if you haven't already. I also plan to play Mappy Kids for the Famicom, but it's easier said than done in my case.

i just bought this plug and play and got pretty good at most of the games fast. i learned that in the second level of bosconian, you can go in between the two ships at the left and get then both at the dame time in the middle of them.

Other than that, for $20 bucks it's a great deal and conversation piece. I recommend giving it as a gift to a kid to get 'em into retro arcade gaming.
yeah... the old purple and yellow one had superior controls (also right hand orientation), but the graphics and sound weren't as good. Maybe in the next one they'll nail it all.

If u want to know the ghost patterns I can tell you. If you don't want me to tell u then don't click read more. Just in case you want to learn the patterns yourself. The red ghost tries to get to your exact position. The pink ghost tries to get in front of you and cut off your path. The blue ghost tries to get pacman in between himself and the red ghost. The ornage ghost is completely random.
This plug and play system has 12 games like the Retro Arcade plug and play, but that one has the original Galatian sounds. How come they’re not on this version?
Not big on the left-handed orientation of the buttons but other than that I like it. I'm looking around to see if there is a secret setup screen to flip the controls.

Ms. Pac-Man was not originally made by Namco but was instead made by Midway, Namco's distributor. They made a bunch of Pac-Man sequels without Namco's permission.

The distorted super pacman was probably your TV speakers, I never had that problem and I have the same plug and play.

psjedi1 exactly my thoughts too. Xevious is particularly difficult with this joystick. It's great for the two and four direction games, though.

That's a general problem with microswitch-based joysticks.
Christopher Sobieniak You can do diagonals, it's just extremely hard to do so.
I will say...even if they left out Bosconian and Xevious (due to it being difficult to go diagonal), it's still worth the $20.

There’s another version of this plug n play but instead of Pac-Man’s shape it’s in a shape of Blinky.
Bosconian and Super Pac-Man were some of my favorites in the arcade. Have not seen this in any of our local stores so not sure where it is sold.
The wife and I just gifted this to the nephews for Christmas. Eager to see how they like it and play some with them.
