He's a super fighting robot! Megaman! Fighting to save the WORLD!
Oh yeah, it's time to power up with today's episode of The Test Table, where Carl and Connor take on the forgotten Megaman game!

That moment I relaized the two of them look like a young Bill Murray bullying a kid Anakin over cards and sleeves
🤣 congrats, your comment is getting pinned.
He does 😢
For some context:
The NT Warrior TCG is an English-only card game created by Decipher Inc in 2004. The rules of the game don't pull from the video games, rather it's an interpretation of the show. The TCG was discontinued as soon as the show stopped airing.
I give Decipher Inc credit for being unique but I would have rather them try to emulate the video games, imo.
It's an interesting game tbh, I just don't think it's good
From seeing the rules and gameplay, it seems playable and like it could be interesting and fun. But looks like there are some glaring holes in the design aspect. @@TheTestTable1
Oh boy it's a Megaman!
you guys are great! this is the exact kind of content i was looking for the other day (stuff about all of those old forgotten card games that exist) a friend sent me a video the other day and i just watched all of your current stuff. hope you get that dragon shield sponsor, keep up the good work!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoy the content!
01:37 when you and your little brother decide who will be player 1.
Lmao
Bro the memories! 😂
"This game sucks"
Later in the video at the end
"You want to play another round for fun? Yeah."
Yeah
2:28
“Wow I got pharaoh man 😀”
"Then I came in and just started blasting! Bang, bang!"
Hell yeah
I swear I haven't thought about this show in 20 years. This was fun to watch, thanks guys! It's interesting to see how many IP attempted to have a card game
Genuinely a great show
Watching this instead of doing the dishes. Good video as usual guys. Loved this version of megaman as a kid. Thanks for taking us all back in time.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good win Carl. Can’t wait to see what else you guys have next for us.
Thanks man!
The knife is gonna be a katana or axe before you know it 😂
👀
Man, I love Decipher for creating Star Wars and Star Trek CCG... Apparently Lord Of The Rings CCG was great too, but I never played it. Yesterday I found out that they did an Austin Powers CCG too. And ever heard of Boy Crazy CCG? Thanks Decipher. 😂
Yooo Austin Powers ccg? 👀
Commenting for the algorithm. Good video :)
Thank you for your service.
Lol, once again, you've brought up a buried memory of mine. I think I had one or two of these cards, i was never sure if there was a game for them or not.
Glad we could unlock another core memory for you lol
Might I suggest trying the original Digimon Card game? The only game I’ve ever seen where holographic cards are actually printed with better stats than non shiny?
We've got it on the back burner!
Ive had decks for this game for a LONG time. But it kinda sits beside the Spycraft and Dark Ages ccgs in the never will play list.
Hell yeah
Would love a recap of the tier list of games you’ve played so far ❤
Good idea!
You know it's not all bad when they play a game for fun off camera
I mean, yeah sorta
I feel like your opinion on the game was mostly soured by the specific starter decks you got. The MegaMan/FireMan(TorchMan) decks they had from set 1 gave navis with a 2/2/2 stat line so the Navis are more balanced. Pharoh Man also seems good out of the box because Yellow's whole schtick is manipulating the power guage, which makes up fro his weakness while ProtoMan doesn't get any especially strong cards in his starter.
Yeah, I think you're right about that. Unfortunately the Megaman starter deck is a little pricey atm
@@TheTestTable1 Back before the pandemic I got all 6 decks and 1 of each box for like $30. The same site now has that bundle for $99. It's a shame the price of the game has gone up so much.
@@DekuLord damn, feels
The band the protomen remain the greatest thing to come out of megaman.
Check out the MiniBosses megaman 2 medley!
I enjoyed this game. The different ‘mana’ requirement was a nice change.
It's interesting lol
It seems like reverse psychology should be used when selecting your deck and sleeves, mate.
Connor wanted the emerald though
Lifedecking and resourcedecking in the same game, wow
Yes
I am Mega Man

😎
It seems like the different powers of the decks need balancing but it does seem like a fun quick play game.
Yeah, these decks were not a good match for each other
Land burn structre deck is insane.
Land burn, ramp, dog. I should not have won that lmao.
Feel a little like a dork, but i actually got a ton of stuff for the old g. i. joe tcg, and it is pretty fun. I do not know if you guys will ever fet it as it is EXPENSIVE.... but it is fun.
That's actually sick
This is one of those games from that era that tried to be more complicated than it needed to be. This could have just been a simple slug fest with the battle chips and events like how it is in the games
I agree, just let us duke it out
Intersting video keept it up
We sure will!
"...my name is Bubble Man, I got something to say" D E A D
Too bad you guys didn't start with the first set decks (Megaman and ...Torchman?) those are probably a little closer in power. Protoman kinda stinky.
Not that you'd have any way to know this beforehand lol.
I wanted to pick up the Megaman and Protoman decks cause you know.... rivals and such. But unfortunately the Megaman deck is pretty spendy now lol
Such a shame Dragon shield aren’t sponsoring the Test Table. I really was hoping for some high quality custom art card sleeves of Carl and or Connor drawn as Anime protagonists. Dragon shield please tell me when does a dream become reality?
Lol that would be sick
Bing bing wahoo
Man, I hate lifedecking. It makes it so hard to track who's winning at any given time. Maybe it doesn't help that your discard piles are off camera, but even if I could see them, it would be guessing based on a vague sense of how big they _look_ at a glance and I don't have a precise number.
Wonder if there's some play in a mechanic where you lifedeck from the _bottom_ of your deck, and the cards go into a separate "damage pile" rather than the discard, and you could have mechanics that interact with one or the other, or both. But maybe that's just spinning your wheels for no gain.
That's honestly a great idea, then you could access cards from your damage pile by paying a cost or something?
@@TheTestTable1Yeah, like cards that you use are done and gone, but cards in your damage maybe you can access using in-game abilities or card effects. I just really like games where taking damage gives you additional resources, so you can try to muster a counter attack. You know what, I'm gonna write this down and work on this. I think this is worth a look.
Also good way to know if its a life deck game. Is it made by decipher
I remember having fun with this game and my friends
It's honestly a little fun lol
@@TheTestTable1 I remember buying 4 different decks at Joy's Japanimation for a good price years ago
Yes! Thank you! I’m a collector of mostly dead card games and always wanted to see these being played out. Have you thought about possibly doing the Zatch Bell TCG or Shaman king TCG?
Yes we have!
@@TheTestTable1can’t wait! Keep up the good work!
@@winningtolose we will, thank you!
It looks fun!
Moar life decking. 2000's really liked life decking. At least you could sort of use the cards?
I think they did that because they were trying to appeal to kids, like "Hey kids you can play this game all by itself without any dice or anything!" so they could theoretically pick it up and take it to school, or a friends house, etc. But it really just makes the game un-fun lol
I loved this video so much. Great shit as usual. This game was... definitely a game. It was pretty bad but it is so much fun
Hell yeah, thanks man!
I comment to satiate the blood gods of the YT algorithm
I think this game looks fun, and it's very cheap to get into from what I have seen 🤖
It was a game for sure
Oh boy this is a great video distract me from doing my taxes!
Bro, you gotta get on that
Is that the Minibosses cover of Megaman?!
I see you are a man of culture as well
it's megaboy
Yes
Newbie move. Turn down the background music. It should be barely be noticeable
Sorry that you thought it was too loud.
In a normal YT video, like on a let's play channel, for example. The bg music should hit anywhere between -30 and -24 decibels. While the commentary track should peak at -6 decibels. At least, that's what I've been told by the channel that I work for.
I thought I mixed it correctly this time, but i might have messed up lol
Mega boy
Megermans
They arent gonna sponsor you because you're advertising them for free lok
Bur they don't know that
I really liked the deck destruction concept, but the effects are kinda lame
My decks effects were lame lol
Chaotic next?
Still don't have it. It's a lil too expensive
Oonga boonga
Gunga la hunga
Oh, no. Deck size as life. I know this is going to be bad.
That was just what games did back in the day, its not automatically bad
@@nmr7203 it is pretty bad, and not all games did it
@@ClubbingSealCub Never said all, and a game having life decking isnt a death sentence.
@@nmr7203 no, it is
It was lol
Uuhgabunga

That pharaoh man deck was terrible.
Pardon?
It really was!
