That was very beautiful. Austin has a great voice for musical theatre songs. He puts a lot of feeling & emotion into the song. As far as the other a cappella groups I am not a fan of their music. But I am sure others will give you suggestions. I am an exclusive Home Free girl. But I enjoy Avi Kaplan's solo work after he left PTX.
Austin is trained and has a degree in Musical Theater. He, also, was trained to sing without his Georgia accent, which he did in this song. That accent comes out normally when he sings with Home Free. Another Home Free song, which Austin wrote is “Love Me Like That”, along with other solo songs and covers on his channel. Please check those out too!
Home Free comes a very close second for me behind Voiceplay both groups with amazingly nice genuine guys. and of course the members know each other. Rob did a collaboration with them and Tim appeared in their just sing arrangement which they did for charity Pentatonix are very good but somehow for me they lack the heart of the other two groups I did discover Avi before either Voiceplay or Home Free though
ANYTHING Home Free members do fits into the category of Amazing. Austin puts so much emotion into the song, how could anyone not feel it. This song, and Brothers in Arms, brings me to tears. Every one of the 38 times I've listened to it.

I was introduce to Pentatonix first years ago when Avi was with them but shortly thereafter I watched Home Free sing "Man of Constant Sorrow" & I was hooked. There's something about PTX that literally hurts my ears. I like VP OK but rarely watch them!😊
Not a fan of either PTX or VP. One group is full of divas & the other one is too theatrical & uses bass drops that are unnecessary. It should be all about the song & not the singers. Home Free hits the right balance for me.

They're both amazing. I'm just tickled that they were dropped exactly 13 months apart. Home Free's video harkened back to the 1955 original from the prison movie Unchained.
When you hear something sung so beautifully,it is moving & can bring one to tears. You cut off Austin as he was about to speak (that’s his home in Tennessee,btw) when he introduces his friend and pianist,Sebastian, and says they’ve been working on that song a very long time.
One think you gotta learn about Home Free and their members is to watch their videos until the end. There is often comments, background, and shoutouts to fans.
There are a couple of concerts between 2014 and 2016 he sang this on stage. He went to college for Musical Theater. Also worked at Disney World in the Voices of Liberty. He then started working on cruise ships and a in house entertainer and that is where Home Free found him. They had gone on as guest entertainers. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

Austin Brown is fabulous, he has a great voice and can sing in so many different styles.. I think it's a riot that his accent was so thick when he joined Home Free that Tim had to translate for him...
