Hello! Thank you for your video. I used it to help prep some friends who came from out of state for my wedding at the Colorado Renaissance Festival. They had never been to faire before so it was nice to have some footage to show them! :)
You are so adorable! The Texas ren faire is only open during the fall until others I’ve seen that are only open in the summer! I plan to go early November, which in Texas is the gross weather where it’s warm/sometimes cool during the day and then freezing at night. I keep looking for costume inspiration and this video was one of the more helpful ones! Thank you for this you’re a gem 💕
No matter your costume - comfortable shoes. Don't surprise your friends by not telling them they will be walking in gravel roads specify comfy shoes! And SUNSCREEN.
Oh my gosh this was so helpful Thank you so much. I'm traveling to the Denver Renaissance faire And I've never been to one before, but I'm going in full cosplay and everything so It was really nice to hear that everyone's going to be chill with it and the clips at the end looked GORGEOUS
i am going to share this on a local event page for a mini faire and ball we are putting on for charity...it will help so mny ppl who want to come but are not sure what to wear.or feel intimidated.... Your outfit was very cute ...instead of disney bounding , you were fairy bounding....lol which is a great way for those not wanting to go all attend and still feel part of things
Great info, you answered all my questions. REN FESTIVALS will now be my go-to fun filled people pleasing and fresh air outside weekender. My first time was the past weekend at the REN Faire in Gainesville, Fl. It was a happy day and so much go back in the times of...........knights in armor, falcon flights, weird colorful people and children in costumes. Horses and jousts with crowd cheering fans. Turkey leg as big as mine. Minstrels with instrumental sounds of song. And the May Pole twirling of many blends of colors. Magic and jugglers mingling along with the “ mushroom peps and fairy wings and butterfly gals”. Oh, my thank you , thank you to the King and Queen of yesteryear. Cheers with the ciders and mead to my new found friends of singing dancing storytelling wenches.

Hell yeah! I was there for four days of that faire last month, but only the Friday of last weekend, so you probably didn't see me walking around in my black maille and leather. If you're not super far from Melbourne or don't mind traveling, there Brevard Renaissance Fair is open for one more weekend (Feb5/6). I highly recommend that one. The Bay Area Renaissance Festival now in Dade City will be held from February 19th-April 3rd.
It's disappointing that even hard site Ren faires like this one and the one in Georgia do not have brick and mortar bathrooms. Those portopotties get nasty quick, and I can't fathom how nasty it must be for women. in nice dresses.
going for the second time this year - very excited! my sister brought it up last year and we wore thrifted outfits :) excited to diy some more accessories for this year!!
I’m going to the CO faire Celtic weekend this year, my very first time! This is so helpful thank you!!!!! My anxiety was also starting to spike wondering what it’ll be like and what I need haha. Also I noticed the g**sy slur, maybe consider changing that
I attend Bristol RF. It’s always so hot. Someone broke in my storage unit and stole my costume (and everything else that was in there). Your video came up on auto play after another costume idea video. Great video!
My mom and I go to the Arizona Renaissance Fair and I really want to wear a costume so bad but it's too expensive. My costume would be black and white.
That sounds like it would be really pretty! Don't be discouraged by the prices! Sometimes you can find items at thrift stores and with a little DIY make a beautiful costume!
I miss so much all of the women who would throw away their Razors months before an upcoming festival. Oh how I loved seeing the fair maidens in all their natural glory.

The Ren Faire here in Colorado does actually have brick and mortar bathrooms inside the site, but the lines are usually ridiculously long!

Last year I went to my first Ren Faire without braces and enjoyed a turkey leg. This year I got braces and cannot enjoy a turkey leg. :(
