I must say the first clip is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen and heard, good job. I’m dead jealous I didn’t get to see it in the flesh.
Ben Jared Many thanks. I only managed to get up to the Cumbrian coast a couple of times, would have loved to have spent more time up there as it is a beautiful part of the world. Great shame the 37s didn’t last longer working services on the line.
Beautiful isn't it. It did make me smile that the first clip posted by "Lineside South East" was from Arnside. Can't say I blame you though. It's absolutely stunning up here, especially now the light quality is so good. Shame that the Albion wouldn't have been open :(
Fabulous UK Thrash ❤️🇬🇧Love how classic Over 60 year old Diesel locomotives are pulling Broken down next Generation of Commuter Train services ,To that beautiful sound of Classic Traction Clag ❤️🇬🇧Nothing like it nowadays ❤️
I often watch these compilations and like to pretend these glorious machines are the only locos in mainline service. There are some nice multiple units but nothing beats the diesel and steam engines.
It's not actually a freight train but a move of new rolling stock. The wagons are added to the train either side of the unit primarily as extra brake force. The wagons next to the unit will also have modified couplings to allow the unit to be dragged by a diesel locomotive.

Great video! Wonderful locomotives and beautiful sound!
Cracking video mate 👍
Great video!
may I ask why there was a multiple unit in the middle of a freight train?

@@LinesideSouthEast ah thanks for the clear up. I have seen them with bumper zone coaches but never like that before!
