Upton Street Pedestrian Level Crossing, Altona, Victoria

Hey guys!
Located between Altona and Westona stations on the Altona Loop is the Upton Street pedestrian crossing. Featuring Westinghouse pedestrian gate mechanisms still, this little crossing is somehow worth filming!
Simply; this crossing has:
2x Westinghouse Pedestrian Gate Mechanisms
2x Unmarked Bases

Indeed they did..
Most have gone due to upgrades and crossing removals, but also because they have no protection from people being able to walk right under them, they are pretty dangerous and no longer meet certain codes for compliance, the remaining ones are really just ones where pedestrian traffic & train traffic is low enough that the risk isnt high enough to warrant the installation of the new swing gates..

Only filmed it because it still has the westinghouse pedestrian gates, Wouldnt have filmed it if it was magnetic swing gates.
