My 1984/5 Kenmore Washer

Here is the Kenmore Sears Best 10-program washer with Dual Action agitator my parents bought in February 1985; it has been working non-stop ever since, having gone through several repairs, though the automatic dispensers don't work any more. It is belt-driven, as I remember the repair man had to work with the belt to install the new pump when the old pump ceased; the belt was also replaced at that same moment. It's washing one set of my clothes and one set of dad's clothes. You can see that the first item I'm putting in is my overalls - and I did this while wearing overalls! (You can't see them because my hood is hiding my straps.) The actual timing for the cottons colored cycle is 34 minutes, with the following breakdown:

8 minutes wash
2 minutes neutral drain
2 minutes spin, with 4 spray rinses
Fill
2 minutes rinse
2 minutes neutral drain
6 minutes spin, with 4 spray rinses during the first 2 minutes
Had I chosen the permanent press cycle, the cool down would've comprised 30 seconds partial drain, 90 seconds pause (neutral), fill, and 2 minutes agitation, followed by the drain and first spin.
