No you do not need to change the fuel pump. After all, you have not driven too many miles in your car. What you can do to get better gasoline quality is to change the pump filter.
Una lástima no haber mostrado la parte donde realizas los cambios de filtro o bomba de combustible (la parte más importante creo yo) si no hubieses cortado esa parte tan valiosa este video se merecía un 10 pero lamentablemente cortáste esa parte 😔
Fuel pumps are a simple and rugged part of the fuel system. They are usually found inside of the fuel tank and are responsible for sending fuel from the tank to the engine. Because this job is very important and the location of the fuel pump is so difficult to access, the pump is built to be tough. There is really no reason to preemptively replace the fuel pump before 100,000 miles. Fuel pumps have been known to last for over 200,000 miles in some cases. After 100,000 miles, the failure of the pump is likely enough that if you are replacing a major part in the fuel system nearby, it may be advantageous to replace it at the same time.
everything looks ok, the problem now is the TOOL. We want to do it ourselves for the reason to save money. certainly do not want to buy tool that only is only used few times.
I’m getting this job done at a mechanic and he’s charging me $1,000 USD to replace the bad fuel pump, my car won’t run and ignition is dead. Is that fair price to pay for this repair or is he robbing me. Thanks for replying!!!!
My friend, I suggest you go to another engineer to replace the fuel pump. The amount you ask for the pump makes no sense. The cost of the pump is about 200 euros.

Se llama "herramienta de extracción de llave inglesa ajustable de la tapa del tanque de la bomba de combustible"
At 3:42 can you tell me the standard name of that yellow clip
The standard name is ''tube joint clip'' my friend

Also did you change the gas filter?
Not just the fuel pump
@@YiannisPagonis Then what is it?
Would a diagnostic tell me what It is? I don't have any check engine lights on.
@@stitch-xx2oo What exactly is the problem with your car?
@@YiannisPagonis Like I said just gas mileage. When I put High test in (no-ethano), I can go just about 520 miles on a 12.2 gallon of gas. then when I put ethanol in I can only get 460 miles to the gallon. that is all.
Thank you!
You are welcome my friend

I have 107,000 miles on my 2011 Carolla, do I really need to change the fuel pump to increase gas mileage?
No you do not need to change the fuel pump. After all, you have not driven too many miles in your car. What you can do to get better gasoline quality is to change the pump filter.
@@YiannisPagonis I am about to do that the next time I get service for my oil change. That is what I was thinking. Thanks!!! a million.
@@YiannisPagonis I guess you mean fuel filter? right?!

You are wellcome my friend.
Can you do the same with fuel filter please!
At the moment my friend I do not intend to make such a video. Later maybe yes
Isn't the fuel filter inside the fuel pump assembly?
How long or how many mileage did you have to change the fuel pump? Thanks for the video.
After 100,000 miles, the failure of the pump is likely enough that if you are replacing a major part in the fuel system nearby, it may be advantageous to replace it at the same time.
the engine is a 1.4 D4D ?
It is a gasoline engine and its type is 4ZZ-FE
great vedeo mate!! and excelente explaining how to remove that fuel filter!! is this similar to diesel and benzine models? cheers from Norway
No my friend i don't think so that these are similar between of them. Χαιρετίσματα (in greek) from Greece. Have a nice day all days!
How are you my friend?
everything looks ok, the problem now is the TOOL. We want to do it ourselves for the reason to save money. certainly do not want to buy tool that only is only used few times.
Are you in a dilemma? What do you plan to do? Should you buy it or not?

I’m getting this job done at a mechanic and he’s charging me $1,000 USD to replace the bad fuel pump, my car won’t run and ignition is dead. Is that fair price to pay for this repair or is he robbing me. Thanks for replying!!!!
My friend, I suggest you go to another engineer to replace the fuel pump. The amount you ask for the pump makes no sense. The cost of the pump is about 200 euros.
