Instead of moving the bracket could you not have just kept the ladder swivelled to the left while you engage the bottom post then rotated down to engage the top? You got it working at any rate. Had the ladder met your expectations since the install?
I couldn’t get it to swivel. I certainly didn’t want to drill more holes than necessary. However, the ladder had been very useful. I always tie a rope to it though because if you drop it, it will sink like a stone.
If it’s in the up position, it’s about 5 inches below the bottom of the boat. When it is deployed it sits about 19 inches below the bottom of the boat. I do not drive with it in its mount. But this of course is using my boat as measurements. Your boat may be different.
The one I have is the AM1303T / AMB1. If you click on the link in the description you will be able to find it by looking for this model. I am not affiliated with this company or anything, I simply bought mine from this site. It seems like one bracket sticks out further than the other. Mine is the one that doesn’t stick out as far.
It works fine for me. Plus if I mounted the bracket any higher, the ladder will not slip into the bracket because it catches on the boat seam. But I’ve used it numerous times with no issues
Thanks for the video. Also, thanks for keeping the mistakes in. Keeps others from making the same :)
Thanks. It’s not like anyone wants to put extra holes in a boat that’s for sure. This has worked out well and I’ve used it several times.
where can I purchase the bracket?

Mate how dose it go being lower than the bottom of boat when in up position

I added one of these after I fell out of my boat one day and couldn't get back in. 0:05
They sell this ladder with two different attachment brackets, which one did you order for your boat? I have the Tracker Pro Team 190TX.

Where did you get this?
I got it from Marine Depot Direct. www.marinedepotdirect.com/stainless-telescoping-sport-diver-ladder.html
Thank You
Looks like it's mounted to low.
