"Tartarus Sonic" would be a cool name for the transformation since Gaia is one of the three most powerful gods from Greek Mythology, and Tartarus, the embodiment of the Underworld (with all the monsters and stuff) is another one of these gods
I thought Gaia was a titan? Also hearing this makes me think Tartarus is a more appropriate name for Dark Gaia of Sonic Unleashed. Anyways I hope all the name suggestion end up in this thread.

I'm going to assume that you mean the out-of-control form of the werehog and it really fits both with the sonic unleashed reference and due to the fact that he is 'unleashing' his true power with the help of the Excalibur's scabbard
with the dark Gaia energy in sonic, I feel like this would have a negative effect on the-wisps. Maybe continue exposer will cause them to go wild, or maybe this might have a positive effect on sonic wolf form. Maybe with continuing exposer to the wisp the dark Gaia energy might copy some of the wisps abilities. for example: if werehog was exposed to the red wisp also known as bursts sonic might be able to breathe fire again.

I do believe Time Eater could bring back erased timelines, yes. Crisis City appears in Generations and there are Iblis' spawns all over the place. Canonically a future with them shouldn't exist. And about both of the first 2 ideas you mentioned, I also think they're canon lol I mean, it WAS Mania Sonic that was in Generations, so likely that Robotnik was from his world too. Tikal and Chaos tho, I don't know for sure, I just always assumed their spirits are in the Master Emerald or something like that.

That was the only other Game they were ever in, which is why everyone question wether they and Hyper Sonic were canon, as well as Knucles and Tails Super Forms, which orginally could only be used by the Super Emeralds, Which is why they don't go super in Heroes, but now the Emeralds are back in Mania, along with the super forms for Tails and Knuckles, though now they can use the Chaos Emeralds to harness those forms.
This was a fantastic adaptation of the Black Knight storyline. The voice editing in particular really added to the immersion. Also, the Werehog's uncontrollable nature reminds me of Broly from the Dragon Ball Super movie. An innocent soul has torn asunder due to undue stress and anguish and released via rage, so maybe the transformation should be called "Wrathful Werehog" or something with anger or rage.
This what if scenario is absolutely amazing! As for the name of the werehog, I think "Unchained Werehog" is really fitting name. Because now the full potential of the werehogs powers are "Unchained" Also here's some what if ideas. What if Dark Sonic Was Canon? What if Maria never died? What if Tikal Was Still Alive? What if E-102 Gamma Never died?
Since I might be one of the 10 or so people that enjoyed Knight of the Wind, this was a fun take on the story. I almost feel like Lancelot should of become king, but I get why that wouldn't have worked perfectly either.

Sounds better than the original, great job, would've been interesting seeing Sonic become the final boss in the games, if your gonna do Colors next, I suggest having the others at the park like the DS version to give it more live and make it interesting, unless you have another idea in mind then can't wait to hear it.

But, in this version, I think it would've been fitting if Lancelot had become the new king. Caliburn did allow him to use the Golden Armor power up, which would somewhat count as Lancelot being chosen to wield it. Though, I guess since Sonic was the one who pulled it out of the stone.... Eh, I'll have to sleep on that one. Maybe it was best for Caliburn to be put to rest again, I dunno. But great theory, regardless!😀

Yeah I completely agree. It seems like this story was really trying to build him up as a character, having him cast away the bad mindset/practices he picked up from serving King Arthur and become a real force of good, plus he ended up being the one with the Excalibur form in the end. So, I think a perfect close would have been for Lancelot to be king because he was essentially Sonic in this version of the story.
Sonic Generations Idea: Rather than Eggman just admitting to his plot to erase his past failers, he tries to trick Sonic into helping him by offering to alter the events of the Dark Gaia battle to what we originally got. But Classic Sonic keeps Modern Sonic from falling for it.
Name ideas for this new form: Berserker Unchained Knightmare Cursed/Corrupt Brutish/Brutal Animalistic Wild Rampant Zephyr Possessed Dusk form Midnight form
I have ideas for what weapons or abilities each wisp could give Werehog Sonic if he was in Sonic Colors. Laser: The ability to shoot lasers from his finger tips and as well as firing powerful beams from his mouth. Drill: His hands are drills which he could uses to either throw drill-like punches or can burrow underground to perform surprise attacks. Rocket: Werehog Sonic's right arm is an arm cannon that he could use to fire missiles. Cube: He has cube-like armor that can reduce small amounts of any kind of damage. Hover: Werehog Sonic gains dragon wings that allow him to fly as well perform combos that involve carrying and dropping your enemies while in mid-air. Spikes: His claws become extended energy claws which will allow him to perform combos that involve sinking his arms into the ground and causing spikes to protrude from the ground. Frenzy: He gets a form that looks similar to the Dark Werehog form you mentioned in the video, but has purple flaming eyes. Basically all of his attacks and combos do 2X damage.
These are some cool power-up concepts! I'll make sure to greatly consider how the Wisps will affect the Werehog in all sorts of unexpected ways in Part 3!
Wonder how classic Sonic would react. And what if there's a rematch against dark Gaia but as classic Sonic and modern Sonic once again being taken over by it's dark power. And maybe the eggmen using that dark power combined with the time eater or whatever that thing is. Wait is that even the next game in the chronological order of the series?
Chronology is difficult in Sonic, what with all the timeline theories and such 😂 But imo: Colours is next up, *then* Generations. (I know that's mainly order-of-release but screw it)
I think the Beast form should be called “Dark SpawnHog” or something. Also, what about the Werehog’s inclusion in Sonic Forces? Maybe the Phantom Ruby strengthens the Dark Gaia spirit in him. Infinite could remove Dark Gaia from Sonic and transform himself, having the final battle be Were-Infinite in Null Space instead of Eggman. Then, maybe, the custom character and Classic Sonic get a super form and fight for weakened Modern Sonic as his strength was taken by Infinite. When Infinite is defeated, Dark Gaia could either Disappear or Go back to Sonic
Here's a few ideas: For Part 3, maybe you could incorporate the Secret Rings storyline. To have Sonic have a bigger drive to collect the 7 World Rings ; maybe Shahra could convince Sonic that the rings, once together, could grant any wish(getting rid of the dormant Dark Gaia energy once and for all). I imagine the ability of Speed Break could give his Werehog form a much-needed speed buff, as he could fight in a more similar way to his normal self(Night Palace would probably be hell without it. Imagine the sections where the glass broke in that weird celestial area, or the strength sapping areas. He'd need to move quickly). It would definitely be interesting seeing Sonic's reactions to acquiring the rings: specifically Rage, Sadness, and wishes(Hatred is similar to Rage, but I don't think this one would affect him too much. He doesn't have much if a grudge towards anyone, though this could spark some nasty comments about the 'ol Egghead). DarkSpine Sonic is a conundrum for me though. How exactly would that affect him? The Rings in the game made Sonic emotional enough on their own. Would the DarkSpine form make Sonic go berserk once more? I'll leave that to you, SegaScourge.
I like everything about this what if and can't wait to hear more. As for Sonic's new "Evil Super" Werehog form, maybe it could be called "Nexus Werehog" or "Eclipse Werehog". 'Nexus' because a large gathering and accumulation of negative and/or dark energy seems to be needed to activate this form. 'Eclipse' because an eclipse is usually seen as an dark object or force covering or suppressing an entity of light, as seen when the dark magic of the sheath/scabbard overcoming/overpowering Sonic. Plus, eclipses, the moon, werewolf/werehog? It all just goes together nicely. Finally I got a "What if?" for ya. You know of Chakra-X's Nazo Unleashed? Well, my what if is: What if Nazo Unleashed was a thing? What if these events happened in the Sonic universe, what would the ramifications of these characters/abilities/events be on other Sonic games and the Sonic universe as a whole? Just a thought for ya. Have fun.
this what if series is so wonderful and I would love to see more of this. also I think a what if I would like to see is what if shadow was released earlier like sonic 3 or sonic adventure, the way I would see this working for sonic three is if eggman wanted some extra help with getting the master emerald expecting sonic to follow him to the island and stop him so he remember of his grandfather's project and desides to gather shadow bring him to angle island and have and get the master emerald easier
Unleashed Sonic would make sense because the Werehog form is technically Unleashed Sonic supersonic is also technically Unleashed so I can fact any other Sonic transformation is technically Unleashed Sonic as he's unleashing power also the Werehog Sonic has the ability to go Unleashed which makes attacks more powerful so that doesn't make any sense to call that form Unleashed Sonic.
I definitely think part 2 was set up a little better than part 1 mostly because the original plot from the Black Knight was transitioned into the Dark Werehog plot. I understand what you were going for but I still have the theory that Dark Gaia’s Power was fueled with the emerald’s negative energy giving Sonic the Werehog form.
This was great! As for a name for the form, someone else said this already, but I think Tartarus Sonic would be a great name for it. But now I'm wondering, will you be doing Sonic and The Secret Rings as well? Cause a Darkspine Werehog would look amazing. Not to mention how the negative rings could effect Sonic now.
This is surely an interesting scenario you taken it into. And goes to show that this would have a negative impact on Sonic. As for his future, we can only wait and see. Seeing that Sonic and the Secret Rings wouldn't really add much in regards to lore, it seems fair that we move on to Sonic Colors. Mmm, perhaps the Wisps Hyper Go-on energy would perhaps prove to unintentionally stimulate the Dark Gaia form? That's an interesting idea that could be implemented.
Yeah, I've seen a lot of people commenting about Secret Rings next - and you're right, I can't see it doing much for the lore of this what-if AU.. but the main problem is, it's actually BACKWARDS in the timeline, so I don't really have much choice but to skip it in favor of Colours 😢 Good idea about the Hyper Go-On btw - many people are getting in touch about how the Wisps might affect the Werehog! Guess we'll find out in Part 3!
@@thesegascourge I think that the secret rings can add something to the warehog other than some much needed abilities (speed break for example) such as Sonic's genie friend hanging out in Chip's bracelet, always there to help support him as well as taking great strides in making the warehog form his and achieving balance. The rings could also perhaps react and interact uniquely the presence of the Gaia's. Dark Gaia's power within Sonic and Light Gaia's aka Chip's influence through the bracelet. The Wisps could perhaps boost Light Gaia's influence while the warehog could purify the nega wisps by absorbing the corruption.
Here is an interesting idea: "What if the Ark Project never got shut down and Maria never got shot?" Like, how would that effect characters like Shadow or Eggman?"

I think that uncontrolled wearhog form would be called Wild Wearhog, since he was an uncontrollable beast acting like a wild animal of sorts. That’s what I would call him anyway. What do you think, Scourge? As for what could happen in the colors story, something tells me when he uses the wisps powers as the werehog, I have a feeling he’ll start to get afraid. He would worry that what happened in his wild state could potentially happen again. And now that I think about it, it might happen again if he got a hold of the frenzy power. A wearhog powered by frenzy. That’d be nuts. Anyway, I have a feeling he’d still be afraid of the wearhog form and after colors, Sonic would want to try to find a cure and soon. Frenzy Wisps are corrupted Wisps, right? So, that would definitely have a negative effect on Sonic, and depending on which version of Colors your using you could have other characters like Blaze and Silver involved. I'd be worried for Tails if it was just him.
TheZetoBlade exactly. And I would go for the DS version of colors as it’s most likely canon in the franchise since Mother Wisp appears frequently in Sonic Games. We see her in the Mother’s Canyon track from Team Sonic Racing, which is clear enough evidence to back this up. She didn’t appear in the Wii version, leading me to believe the wii version is non-canon. So, it would make sense to use the DS version rather the wii version.

I went looking around and Vetis, demon of corruption, of Etruscan origin popped out at me. It could take a play at Sonic being overwhelming corrupted, eheh. This whole thing, twist and turns, was well thought through. No one becoming King in the end, satisfying. A battle against Sonic of all people, unthinkable! The fact that you kept the bracelet, thank you. You’re a fantastic voice actor and your narration is what pulls this whole video and storytelling together!
You see sega, take notes, this is what it looks like when you actually commit to changing something about your character and actually putting in some love and care and not just throwing stuff at the wall and hoping something sticks. You want a story based mascot, actually make stuff that he goes through mean something to bringing about ANYTHING to his character like this guy. Sonic is not Mario, Sonic actually has personality, a voice and a character, keep up the good work Sega scourge.

Love this what If, I love the Werehog, he’s the reason I decided to keep playing Sonic. (You can imagine what happened when I realized a fact about how much the Werehog appears.) And you have so much detail and good art! But, a little criticism if I could. Simply put, if this was an actual game, the ending would be a bit jarring. Suddenly losing Sonic and gaining the Round Table for the final stretch. It worked in the original because Sonic was still there, and he convinced them, you weren’t forced to play as something different. However, this has a remedy. A Sonic Adventure approach. A story for each character, or maybe just Sonic and Lancelot, and this Savage Werehog story being like The Last Story. That would be awesome! Remember these are games, so altering the story alters how the game works out too. Some changes to big to not talk about.
Honestly, I think some variation of ‘Feral werehog’ would be a good name, since the way you described his behaviour seems a lot like that of a feral animal. Or maybe ‘Feral Sonic’ would work better? Idk I think a good idea for Colours would be that Sonic _really_ doesn’t want to use the Frenzy wisp’s power, since it’s so similar to the feral way his uncontrolled werehog form behaved. He’s fine with most wisps, it’s just Frenzy that really freaks him out. Another idea being that he’s really sleep-deprived from not sleeping enough thanks to the night terrors, which Tails does seem to pick up on a bit throughout the course of the game, but it doesn’t come into play until the end (more on that later). Most of it just being shown in Sonic sometimes not really paying enough attention, but also in him making more mistakes. What I feel like would also be a good idea is the wisps being really intrigued by Chip’s bracelet (Yacker actually taking a special interest in it) because they can feel the little Light Gaia power it still has. Most of them just show it by flying around Sonic’s wrist a lot, some of them also poking at it, but then quickly flying off when Sonic notices them. The wisps would also be very put-off by Sonic’s werehog form, even scared. The only exception to this being the Frenzy wisps, since they’re technically corrupted as well (or at least, their Hyper-Go-On energy is) due to Eggman. Because of this, during nighttime on the attractions that have a day/night cycle, Sonic and Tails (or just Sonic if it’s during a part of the story when they’re separated) will barely run into any wisps except for Frenzies. And even if a different kind of wisp does appear, they always go to Tails instead of Sonic, something that Tails notices is kind of hurting Sonic’s feelings. One last thing about the ending now. Due to Sonic being so sleep-deprived, he either misses the push that would normally send Tails into the escape carriage or he doesn’t shove him hard enough. Point is, Tails is there for the final battle. He doesn’t do a whole lot, mostly offering moral support, but he does catch the wisps that fall out of Eggman’s machine. Also for this battle, Sonic is in the werehog form due to being so close to the Earth while it’s night there (yes I know, the final cutscene takes place during the day, but let me have this). When it comes time for the final blow, all the wisps surround Sonic to prepare for it - including Frenzy. Sonic becomes very unsure of himself, afraid that he’ll lose control like he did in the finale of (this version of) Black Knight, but Tails manages to talk him into using Frenzy as well, and the final blow is dealt. However, the battle combined with his lack of actual sleep, leaves Sonic extremely exhausted. So when the damaged mind-control device is activated and malfunctions, causing that artificial black hole, he does try to run away and almost manages to get away from its pull, but he trips and is sucked into it by accident, colliding with some debris on his way in, which knocks him unconscious. Tails is also sucked in, but he’s awake for the whole ordeal. The night is as good as over on Earth at this point, so Sonic turns back to normal and very briefly wakes up because of it. He manages to spot Tails smiling at him before unconsciousness claims him once again. The wisps break the black hole bubble and safely deposit Sonic and Tails back on the ground, where Tails gently wakes Sonic up again. They say their goodbyes and Yacker says that he never thought Sonic’s night form was all that scary, and he hopes that he’d be able to change their mind. He also asks about the bracelet, and Sonic briefly explains what it is. Then they all say their goodbyes and the wisps go home, after which Tails - very sternly - tells Sonic that he needs to get some sleep. Well this was long xD hope I gave you some ideas!
Honestly, I think Lancelot went above and beyond what was expected of him here. With Sonic not an option, Caliburn should've chosen him to be king. He's grown and developed a lot in this version of his story.
Maybe for part three the dark gaia essence has an adverse effect on wisps. The are absorbed as normal but when he releases them they turn to void or frenzy wisps. And perhaps white wisps actually nullify the were hog form or at least temporarily halts it.
I have an idea for some of the wisp powers the werehog could have for the colours part Laser: the werehog could be able to speed around and perform extremely fast combos (including a few Jojo punches) and also would be able to perform a spindash like attack where sonic would spin around like a buzzsaw and speed forward absolutely shredding anything in his past (like the normal laser...but more werehoggy) Drill: Sonic would be able to spin around his whole body wildly before becoming a powerful spinning tornado of doom...he would still have the ability to dig...but now he would have the ability to pinball off of enemy's...only problem you can't control where you go after you launch if you choose to pinball (meaning you gotta pray you don't bounce into something painful) Burst: Sonic would be able to breath fire (whether it be fireballs or a stream of fire) while also being able to spin around in a firey tornado...unlike drill however you can control it but your slower, you also would be able to shoot fire out of sonics hands to fly... Sorta like a makeshift jet pack...but remember gravity is still a thing
I'd think like Black Knightmare Sonic/Werehog for this pure Dark Gaia evil superfrom... like its Sonics deep down worst fears of the werehog transformation made into a reality that's nothing but a pure thing of chaos and destruction. Turning all of Sonics endless speed into pure limitless power! Picture Sonic having mental battles with this thing in the future of this AU. Total enemy within trope or enemy without trope stuffs.

This is so good! I love Werehog AUs because they have so much potential, that and I just love the Werehog a lot. But I do wonder, what happened to Secret Rings? Not that I mind it's gone, that's my least favorite Sonic game. Nonetheless, I can't wait till Part 3!!
This whole series is just an interesting child friendly introduction to multiverse theory, but I still like it. I think it should be called "perfect werehog"
for this uuh t his will be a bit long i think, but let's start by the easy part! for this new werehog form that you explained btw is he based on one of the prototype designs for the werehog in Unleashed? asides from that this new form i would call it Nightmare Sonic or Gaia Sonic, and possibly dark sonic but who knows. now to the interesting part! what i expect from part 3: *we have as the same story but something's different. in here, We fuse Colors DS and WII console's stories in one.* *Sonic transforms into the werehog while entering the amusement park.* *Most of the game we will have the werehog with us, but in his sonic unleashed one(because unless there is a sun there, it's somehow like NIGHT in space without the sun there).* *Here sonic can do the special attacks with the wisps, and use his werehog powers sometimes in a example the spikey wisp that is a purple/pink color, has more spikes and its more bigger as well, the void wisp would be even more poweful with the ability to do some kirby styled mechanic of absorbing robots/enemies/powerups, drill will be more destructive.* *We would have same mechanics as colors but it has a +Unleashed mix type, BUT x2 in sweet mountain and planet wisp we have the normal sonic since they are in a day time.* *Now into the end of the game we will be using DS's final boss and ending.* *A black hole starts to be created absorbing eggman and the place, the wisps save sonic'n friends to leave them in earth, but something's wrong. Yacker goes to see from the distance his mother into some nega form cause by eggman by accident in space, sonic and tails follow yacker, so the already named wisp(yacker)tells sonic to stop his mom, as well sonic accepts the big challenge.* *Fighting the Nega Mother Wisp we get again super werehog in action(because he went to space again and since it's like night there, he went werehog + chaos emeralds collected) to defeat* *N.M.W.* *but this time he is a bit more synchronized with his werehog self(because he was getting the hang on it) so he can defeat like did in the original ds game to the* *N.M.W.* Leading us to the mixed ending of DS and WII but told in my take. _as sonic defeated the Nega Mother Wisp, she turned back to normal, sonic falls to earth at great speed. But the wisps get to catch him and leave him safe and sound, sonic turns to his normal self once again. He wakes up, to ask ''w-wha? what happend..?'' he sees the wisps, thanking them a bit tired._ *then we get same part of ending like WII console except everyone is in the background looking to the scene.* And so this story ends! Hufff that was hard- i could get plenty more ideas for next games heh-
This is WAY crazier then the original timeline, I mean a super fast blue hedgehog who can change into a bulky wolf form with super strength and stretchy arms because of the darkness of planet earth, AND THEN gets sent to a book set in medieval times and gets a talking sword.
cataclysm - a large-scale and violent event in the natural world I propose the title of Cataclysm Sonic do to this form's energy infecting the surround kingdom.

Ok, I'm gonna say this right now, Sonic and the Black Knight is one my all time favorite sonic games and I'm so happy you did a what if of it while using the werehog. Thank you so much for that. Although, I don't like Lancelot being the hero of this story. I would have liked it more if Sonic actually overcame the influence of the scabbard and wielded the power of both darkness AND light in order to take down Murlena, teaching her the lesson she needed to learn while also learning a lesson about how his new form doesn't dictate who he is, only he can do that.
I always respect another Black Knight appreciator! And yeah, I just couldn't resist giving Lancelot some spotlight and laying the groundwork for Sonic "losing control." Still, glad you got a kick out of it to some degree, Alex!
@@thesegascourge same here. I liked the story and I'm always happy meet someone who liked Sonoc and the black knight as much as I do because for me, it was the peak of writing for Sonic's character and showed what and who the blue blur really is.
What if after picking a successor to be king, Sonic kept contact with the arthurian world and was able to call Calibur and enter the Excalibur form when he wanted to?

I doubt a twist like that will ever happen in a sonic game if the creators have anything to say about it, but man am I glad to have witnessed this angle and twist. I truly enjoyed it and sympathies with others when they say that this would have been the more interesting story and also far more entertaining to play. I'm glad the IDW comics are going down a similar rout where sonic is more of a determent then a help and it pains him greatly. When you think about it that is sonic's greatest fear. The fear of becoming the problem that he is always fighting ageist and there is nothing he can do but watch. He hates feeling helpless and not begin able to help his friends when they need him and hates the idea of being the one to cause them pain.

"Tartarus Sonic" would be a cool name for the transformation since Gaia is one of the three most powerful gods from Greek Mythology, and Tartarus, the embodiment of the Underworld (with all the monsters and stuff) is another one of these gods

That was the only other Game they were ever in, which is why everyone question wether they and Hyper Sonic were canon, as well as Knucles and Tails Super Forms, which orginally could only be used by the Super Emeralds, Which is why they don't go super in Heroes, but now the Emeralds are back in Mania, along with the super forms for Tails and Knuckles, though now they can use the Chaos Emeralds to harness those forms.
Unleashed is my favorite game, so seeing the werehog come alive in these story-type videos is so fascinating, keep them up!

This was a fantastic adaptation of the Black Knight storyline. The voice editing in particular really added to the immersion. Also, the Werehog's uncontrollable nature reminds me of Broly from the Dragon Ball Super movie. An innocent soul has torn asunder due to undue stress and anguish and released via rage, so maybe the transformation should be called "Wrathful Werehog" or something with anger or rage.
This what if scenario is absolutely amazing!
As for the name of the werehog,
I think "Unchained Werehog" is really fitting name.
Because now the full potential of the werehogs powers are "Unchained"

Since I might be one of the 10 or so people that enjoyed Knight of the Wind, this was a fun take on the story. I almost feel like Lancelot should of become king, but I get why that wouldn't have worked perfectly either.

Seriously though, this was a great theory! Everything was thought out to an incredible extent. But, in this version, I think it would've been fitting if Lancelot had become the new king. Caliburn did allow him to use the Golden Armor power up, which would somewhat count as Lancelot being chosen to wield it. Though, I guess since Sonic was the one who pulled it out of the stone.... Eh, I'll have to sleep on that one. Maybe it was best for Caliburn to be put to rest again, I dunno. But great theory, regardless!😀

It seems like this story was really trying to build him up as a character, having him cast away the bad mindset/practices he picked up from serving King Arthur and become a real force of good, plus he ended up being the one with the Excalibur form in the end. So, I think a perfect close would have been for Lancelot to be king because he was essentially Sonic in this version of the story.

I have ideas for what weapons or abilities each wisp could give Werehog Sonic if he was in Sonic Colors.
Laser: The ability to shoot lasers from his finger tips and as well as firing powerful beams from his mouth.
Drill: His hands are drills which he could uses to either throw drill-like punches or can burrow underground to perform surprise attacks.
Rocket: Werehog Sonic's right arm is an arm cannon that he could use to fire missiles.
Cube: He has cube-like armor that can reduce small amounts of any kind of damage.
Hover: Werehog Sonic gains dragon wings that allow him to fly as well perform combos that involve carrying and dropping your enemies while in mid-air.
Spikes: His claws become extended energy claws which will allow him to perform combos that involve sinking his arms into the ground and causing spikes to protrude from the ground.
Frenzy: He gets a form that looks similar to the Dark Werehog form you mentioned in the video, but has purple flaming eyes. Basically all of his attacks and combos do 2X damage.
These are some cool power-up concepts! I'll make sure to greatly consider how the Wisps will affect the Werehog in all sorts of unexpected ways in Part 3!
What about Void, and would Chip's bracelet also be super charged with it's own abilities?

Also, what about the Werehog’s inclusion in Sonic Forces? Maybe the Phantom Ruby strengthens the Dark Gaia spirit in him. Infinite could remove Dark Gaia from Sonic and transform himself, having the final battle be Were-Infinite in Null Space instead of Eggman. Then, maybe, the custom character and Classic Sonic get a super form and fight for weakened Modern Sonic as his strength was taken by Infinite. When Infinite is defeated, Dark Gaia could either Disappear or Go back to Sonic

Here's a few ideas: For Part 3, maybe you could incorporate the Secret Rings storyline. To have Sonic have a bigger drive to collect the 7 World Rings ; maybe Shahra could convince Sonic that the rings, once together, could grant any wish(getting rid of the dormant Dark Gaia energy once and for all).
I imagine the ability of Speed Break could give his Werehog form a much-needed speed buff, as he could fight in a more similar way to his normal self(Night Palace would probably be hell without it. Imagine the sections where the glass broke in that weird celestial area, or the strength sapping areas. He'd need to move quickly).
It would definitely be interesting seeing Sonic's reactions to acquiring the rings: specifically Rage, Sadness, and wishes(Hatred is similar to Rage, but I don't think this one would affect him too much. He doesn't have much if a grudge towards anyone, though this could spark some nasty comments about the 'ol Egghead).
DarkSpine Sonic is a conundrum for me though. How exactly would that affect him? The Rings in the game made Sonic emotional enough on their own. Would the DarkSpine form make Sonic go berserk once more? I'll leave that to you, SegaScourge.

I like everything about this what if and can't wait to hear more.
As for Sonic's new "Evil Super" Werehog form, maybe it could be called "Nexus Werehog" or "Eclipse Werehog". 'Nexus' because a large gathering and accumulation of negative and/or dark energy seems to be needed to activate this form. 'Eclipse' because an eclipse is usually seen as an dark object or force covering or suppressing an entity of light, as seen when the dark magic of the sheath/scabbard overcoming/overpowering Sonic. Plus, eclipses, the moon, werewolf/werehog? It all just goes together nicely.
Finally I got a "What if?" for ya. You know of Chakra-X's Nazo Unleashed? Well, my what if is: What if Nazo Unleashed was a thing? What if these events happened in the Sonic universe, what would the ramifications of these characters/abilities/events be on other Sonic games and the Sonic universe as a whole?

This was great! As for a name for the form, someone else said this already, but I think Tartarus Sonic would be a great name for it. But now I'm wondering, will you be doing Sonic and The Secret Rings as well? Cause a Darkspine Werehog would look amazing. Not to mention how the negative rings could effect Sonic now.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of people commenting about Secret Rings next - and you're right, I can't see it doing much for the lore of this what-if AU.. but the main problem is, it's actually BACKWARDS in the timeline, so I don't really have much choice but to skip it in favor of Colours 😢

@@thesegascourge I think that the secret rings can add something to the warehog other than some much needed abilities (speed break for example) such as Sonic's genie friend hanging out in Chip's bracelet, always there to help support him as well as taking great strides in making the warehog form his and achieving balance. The rings could also perhaps react and interact uniquely the presence of the Gaia's. Dark Gaia's power within Sonic and Light Gaia's aka Chip's influence through the bracelet. The Wisps could perhaps boost Light Gaia's influence while the warehog could purify the nega wisps by absorbing the corruption.
Here is an interesting idea: "What if the Ark Project never got shut down and Maria never got shot?"

As for what could happen in the colors story, something tells me when he uses the wisps powers as the werehog, I have a feeling he’ll start to get afraid. He would worry that what happened in his wild state could potentially happen again. And now that I think about it, it might happen again if he got a hold of the frenzy power. A wearhog powered by frenzy. That’d be nuts. Anyway, I have a feeling he’d still be afraid of the wearhog form and after colors, Sonic would want to try to find a cure and soon. But that’s what I think, anyway.

Frenzy Wisps are corrupted Wisps, right? So, that would definitely have a negative effect on Sonic, and depending on which version of Colors your using you could have other characters like Blaze and Silver involved. I'd be worried for Tails if it was just him.
TheZetoBlade exactly. And I would go for the DS version of colors as it’s most likely canon in the franchise since Mother Wisp appears frequently in Sonic Games. We see her in the Mother’s Canyon track from Team Sonic Racing, which is clear enough evidence to back this up. She didn’t appear in the Wii version, leading me to believe the wii version is non-canon. So, it would make sense to use the DS version rather the wii version.

You see sega, take notes, this is what it looks like when you actually commit to changing something about your character and actually putting in some love and care and not just throwing stuff at the wall and hoping something sticks. You want a story based mascot, actually make stuff that he goes through mean something to bringing about ANYTHING to his character like this guy. Sonic is not Mario, Sonic actually has personality, a voice and a character, keep up the good work Sega scourge.

OMG I CAN'T WAIT FOR PART 3?! i just found your channel through part 1
Love this what If, I love the Werehog, he’s the reason I decided to keep playing Sonic. (You can imagine what happened when I realized a fact about how much the Werehog appears.) And you have so much detail and good art! But, a little criticism if I could.
Simply put, if this was an actual game, the ending would be a bit jarring. Suddenly losing Sonic and gaining the Round Table for the final stretch. It worked in the original because Sonic was still there, and he convinced them, you weren’t forced to play as something different. However, this has a remedy. A Sonic Adventure approach. A story for each character, or maybe just Sonic and Lancelot, and this Savage Werehog story being like The Last Story. That would be awesome!
Remember these are games, so altering the story alters how the game works out too. Some changes to big to not talk about.

Honestly, I think some variation of ‘Feral werehog’ would be a good name, since the way you described his behaviour seems a lot like that of a feral animal. Or maybe ‘Feral Sonic’ would work better? Idk
I think a good idea for Colours would be that Sonic _really_ doesn’t want to use the Frenzy wisp’s power, since it’s so similar to the feral way his uncontrolled werehog form behaved. He’s fine with most wisps, it’s just Frenzy that really freaks him out.
Another idea being that he’s really sleep-deprived from not sleeping enough thanks to the night terrors, which Tails does seem to pick up on a bit throughout the course of the game, but it doesn’t come into play until the end (more on that later). Most of it just being shown in Sonic sometimes not really paying enough attention, but also in him making more mistakes.
What I feel like would also be a good idea is the wisps being really intrigued by Chip’s bracelet (Yacker actually taking a special interest in it) because they can feel the little Light Gaia power it still has. Most of them just show it by flying around Sonic’s wrist a lot, some of them also poking at it, but then quickly flying off when Sonic notices them.
The wisps would also be very put-off by Sonic’s werehog form, even scared. The only exception to this being the Frenzy wisps, since they’re technically corrupted as well (or at least, their Hyper-Go-On energy is) due to Eggman. Because of this, during nighttime on the attractions that have a day/night cycle, Sonic and Tails (or just Sonic if it’s during a part of the story when they’re separated) will barely run into any wisps except for Frenzies. And even if a different kind of wisp does appear, they always go to Tails instead of Sonic, something that Tails notices is kind of hurting Sonic’s feelings.
One last thing about the ending now. Due to Sonic being so sleep-deprived, he either misses the push that would normally send Tails into the escape carriage or he doesn’t shove him hard enough. Point is, Tails is there for the final battle. He doesn’t do a whole lot, mostly offering moral support, but he does catch the wisps that fall out of Eggman’s machine. Also for this battle, Sonic is in the werehog form due to being so close to the Earth while it’s night there (yes I know, the final cutscene takes place during the day, but let me have this). When it comes time for the final blow, all the wisps surround Sonic to prepare for it - including Frenzy. Sonic becomes very unsure of himself, afraid that he’ll lose control like he did in the finale of (this version of) Black Knight, but Tails manages to talk him into using Frenzy as well, and the final blow is dealt. However, the battle combined with his lack of actual sleep, leaves Sonic extremely exhausted. So when the damaged mind-control device is activated and malfunctions, causing that artificial black hole, he does try to run away and almost manages to get away from its pull, but he trips and is sucked into it by accident, colliding with some debris on his way in, which knocks him unconscious. Tails is also sucked in, but he’s awake for the whole ordeal. The night is as good as over on Earth at this point, so Sonic turns back to normal and very briefly wakes up because of it. He manages to spot Tails smiling at him before unconsciousness claims him once again. The wisps break the black hole bubble and safely deposit Sonic and Tails back on the ground, where Tails gently wakes Sonic up again. They say their goodbyes and Yacker says that he never thought Sonic’s night form was all that scary, and he hopes that he’d be able to change their mind. He also asks about the bracelet, and Sonic briefly explains what it is. Then they all say their goodbyes and the wisps go home, after which Tails - very sternly - tells Sonic that he needs to get some sleep.

This needed to happen. It would be amazing if every game in the sonic franchise effected the next sonic game.
Honestly, I think Lancelot went above and beyond what was expected of him here. With Sonic not an option, Caliburn should've chosen him to be king. He's grown and developed a lot in this version of his story.
Maybe for part three the dark gaia essence has an adverse effect on wisps.
The are absorbed as normal but when he releases them they turn to void or frenzy wisps.
And perhaps white wisps actually nullify the were hog form or at least temporarily halts it.

I've always wondered about this one:
What if Sonic turned into Hyper Sonic in the Archie Comics?
I have an idea for some of the wisp powers the werehog could have for the colours part
Laser: the werehog could be able to speed around and perform extremely fast combos (including a few Jojo punches) and also would be able to perform a spindash like attack where sonic would spin around like a buzzsaw and speed forward absolutely shredding anything in his past (like the normal laser...but more werehoggy)
Drill: Sonic would be able to spin around his whole body wildly before becoming a powerful spinning tornado of doom...he would still have the ability to dig...but now he would have the ability to pinball off of enemy's...only problem you can't control where you go after you launch if you choose to pinball (meaning you gotta pray you don't bounce into something painful)
Burst: Sonic would be able to breath fire (whether it be fireballs or a stream of fire) while also being able to spin around in a firey tornado...unlike drill however you can control it but your slower, you also would be able to shoot fire out of sonics hands to fly... Sorta like a makeshift jet pack...but remember gravity is still a thing
I'd think like Black Knightmare Sonic/Werehog for this pure Dark Gaia evil superfrom... like its Sonics deep down worst fears of the werehog transformation made into a reality that's nothing but a pure thing of chaos and destruction. Turning all of Sonics endless speed into pure limitless power!
Picture Sonic having mental battles with this thing in the future of this AU. Total enemy within trope or enemy without trope stuffs.

This is so good! I love Werehog AUs because they have so much potential, that and I just love the Werehog a lot. But I do wonder, what happened to Secret Rings? Not that I mind it's gone, that's my least favorite Sonic game. Nonetheless, I can't wait till Part 3!!

This whole series is just an interesting child friendly introduction to multiverse theory, but I still like it. I think it should be called "perfect werehog"

for this uuh t his will be a bit long i think, but let's start by the easy part!
for this new werehog form that you explained btw is he based on one of the prototype designs for the werehog in Unleashed?
asides from that this new form i would call it Nightmare Sonic or Gaia Sonic, and possibly dark sonic but who knows.
now to the interesting part! what i expect from part 3:
*we have as the same story but something's different. in here, We fuse Colors DS and WII console's stories in one.*
*Sonic transforms into the werehog while entering the amusement park.* *Most of the game we will have the werehog with us, but in his sonic unleashed one(because unless there is a sun there, it's somehow like NIGHT in space without the sun there).* *Here sonic can do the special attacks with the wisps, and use his werehog powers sometimes in a example the spikey wisp that is a purple/pink color, has more spikes and its more bigger as well, the void wisp would be even more poweful with the ability to do some kirby styled mechanic of absorbing robots/enemies/powerups, drill will be more destructive.* *We would have same mechanics as colors but it has a +Unleashed mix type, BUT x2 in sweet mountain and planet wisp we have the normal sonic since they are in a day time.*
*Now into the end of the game we will be using DS's final boss and ending.*
*A black hole starts to be created absorbing eggman and the place, the wisps save sonic'n friends to leave them in earth, but something's wrong. Yacker goes to see from the distance his mother into some nega form cause by eggman by accident in space, sonic and tails follow yacker, so the already named wisp(yacker)tells sonic to stop his mom, as well sonic accepts the big challenge.*
*Fighting the Nega Mother Wisp we get again super werehog in action(because he went to space again and since it's like night there, he went werehog + chaos emeralds collected) to defeat* *N.M.W.* *but this time he is a bit more synchronized with his werehog self(because he was getting the hang on it) so he can defeat like did in the original ds game to the* *N.M.W.*
Leading us to the mixed ending of DS and WII but told in my take.
_as sonic defeated the Nega Mother Wisp, she turned back to normal, sonic falls to earth at great speed. But the wisps get to catch him and leave him safe and sound, sonic turns to his normal self once again. He wakes up, to ask ''w-wha? what happend..?'' he sees the wisps, thanking them a bit tired._ *then we get same part of ending like WII console except everyone is in the background looking to the scene.*
And so this story ends! Hufff that was hard- i could get plenty more ideas for next games heh-

Ok, I'm gonna say this right now, Sonic and the Black Knight is one my all time favorite sonic games and I'm so happy you did a what if of it while using the werehog. Thank you so much for that.
Although, I don't like Lancelot being the hero of this story. I would have liked it more if Sonic actually overcame the influence of the scabbard and wielded the power of both darkness AND light in order to take down Murlena, teaching her the lesson she needed to learn while also learning a lesson about how his new form doesn't dictate who he is, only he can do that.
I always respect another Black Knight appreciator! And yeah, I just couldn't resist giving Lancelot some spotlight and laying the groundwork for Sonic "losing control." Still, glad you got a kick out of it to some degree, Alex!
@@thesegascourge same here. I liked the story and I'm always happy meet someone who liked Sonoc and the black knight as much as I do because for me, it was the peak of writing for Sonic's character and showed what and who the blue blur really is.
What if after picking a successor to be king, Sonic kept contact with the arthurian world and was able to call Calibur and enter the Excalibur form when he wanted to?

I doubt a twist like that will ever happen in a sonic game if the creators have anything to say about it, but man am I glad to have witnessed this angle and twist. I truly enjoyed it and sympathies with others when they say that this would have been the more interesting story and also far more entertaining to play. I'm glad the IDW comics are going down a similar rout where sonic is more of a determent then a help and it pains him greatly. When you think about it that is sonic's greatest fear. The fear of becoming the problem that he is always fighting ageist and there is nothing he can do but watch. He hates feeling helpless and not begin able to help his friends when they need him and hates the idea of being the one to cause them pain.
