Also, as far as I'm aware, "Spyro: Season of Ice". Yeah, because I want to complete a game with horrible depth perception, costing me SO many lives, and levels that are annoying to navigate. Can you tell I never finished it?
You know, I really hope we get a Peach centric game again the future, one with more care and love, since it'd be nice to see Peach do something other than being kidnapped, racing, or playing board games Ooh, it could be a game that features Peach and Daisy as the main stars!
Yanno, I've had this idea swimming in my mind about a M&L game with Peach at the forefront. (She was playable in at least one RPG and two platformers, right?) The game would go into greater depths into Vibe Island and its former civilization while Peach raced Bowser and a villainous third party to get Mario and Luigi's bodies back after they were separated and forced to take shelter inside the princess lest the third party reap them too.
Arin Frankhouse I really, REALLY would love a “Peach & Daisy” RPG in the style of the Mario & Luigi games. For one, Peach and Daisy can actually talk, plus their dynamic would be so far removed from Mario and Luigi’s that I think the humor potential is just as good and would be nice and fresh! You could use the emotion powers (I forget what they’re called in Super Princess Peach) as Special Attacks/Overworld abilities, maybe have the Special Attacks be unlocked by unlocking a new overworld ability like in Superstar Saga. I just think that Peach and Daisy would have a really interesting Dynamic and Nintendo is sleeping on putting them front and center in a story-based game together.
Eric McNugget Rosalina is too OP. Cameo for sure, but she’d be unrealistically nerfed if she were a playable character. She’s literally a space goddess.
Personally, I liked that Peach had to save Mario this time instead of the other way around. I like stories where the usual hero of the story becomes the captive and has to be saved by either the usual captive or the sidekick, like Luigi in the mansion titles. It makes things feel different to me and shows that even this powerful hero isn't perfect or exempt from danger. Plus it gives the side character taking their place more depth to their character. The reason I like the Luigi's Mansion games is because you can kind of see Luigi overcome his fear of ghosts to save his brother and it shows just how much he loves him. That being said though, in this game, the concept of MARIO being the captive instead of Peach, is the only part of the story I really enjoyed or remembered. The story of Peach trying to save Mario wasn't as perfect as I remembered it to be and it kind of bums me out. They focused more on the Parasol's backstory rather than Peach's journey to save Mario and why did we really need to know? It was a little interesting, but thinking back on it, maybe scenes of Mario and Peach together would have been better. Luigi's Mansion doesn't focus on King Boo's backstory or how the mansion/hotel came to be, but instead on Luigi. Why couldn't this game have done that? I really hope in the future, we get another game with Peach as the hero for once. I'm not talking about as a 1-4 character choice, but as the main character.
I loved this game growing up and the ads are the part I can't ever forget. The commercials showed a bunch of little girls dressed up as Peach doing a bunch of things you'd see a princess practice but in a boot camp setting. The scene I remember most is the girls running through mud while in their dresses while being yelled at by the commander.
Part of the reason for this game’s cutesy and Kirby-esque style is likely because it was made by the same studio behind the Legendary Starfy franchise (Starfy even makes a few cameos in SPP as a hidden enemy).
It's ok you can still play as her in this game, super mario bros.2, super mario rpg, super paper mario, super mario 3d world, super mario run, mario plus rabbids kingdom battle, all the mario sports, racing and party games and smash bros.
"Hopefully the second chance strikes the gold.... and hopefully there eventually IS a second chance." Wow, who knew Fawful's Minion predicted Princess Peach Showtime, like, 4 years earlier?
EclipseSoluna which as we all know were literally designed to be difficult to deal with as a player in the original game. Their hammer arc is the exact same as Mario’s jump arc in that game.
I'm gonna play Devil's Advocate and defend the Toad collecting in this game. Peach is trying to save her kingdom, which means saving her people. So it makes sense to collect all the toads.
I played this game as a little girl, about 10 or 11, and I absolutely loved it! It's fun being able to play as a character you feel more represented by. It was like Super Mario 2 again, I got to be Peach! I really had fun with this game, and wish they had either made a sequel or any other Mario game with Peach as the star. I know a lot of people get sick of hearing it, but representation really does matter!
this is such a strange little hybrid. definitely more influence from wario land than kirby as far as gameplay goes, and that cutscene art could have been ripped straight from a mario & luigi game
A lil late to the party but when I saw this in my notifications I almost flipped? I loved this game so so so much as a kid... It was one of my first games for the DS and boy howdy!! I remember the freaking ad campaign and website for it!!! This game was one of the big milestones leading me further down the rabbit hole of video games, and I'm so thankful for its existence. I do hope that we get the chance to see Peach as a protagonist again sometime in the future... and I hope they give her some real plot substance and personal motivation when they do!!
I loved this game. Not only was it a fun game but it was one of the few games that showed yes Princess Peach can take care of herself. And given that the game ends with hints towards a sequel with Peach saying she's going to learn some useful self-defense moves and learn how to properly use her vibe powers since apparently she still has them. Uh Nintendo me and many other fans would like either a Super Princess Peach remaster for the Switch, a Super Princess Peach 2, or both.
Logan, I hope you read this comment. I’ve been watching you since I was a kid and now I’m going to college. I wanted to thank you for making amazing content and how you’re part of the reason why I’m going into writing and directing. The way you phrase and describe things are so on point and entertaining that as a kid I started to mimic it and put them into my school papers. Eventually I fell in love with writing and entertaining those who read my stuff. Today I know what I want to do in life because of your videos. Thank you for shaping me into who I am today Logan. I’m still not as good as you though
Now we know why those bombs when princess peach was talking were so effective in superstar saga it's because her emotions even if it was a birdo that birdo still had to sound talk and act like Princess Peach
I would've added some points for the absolutely scatterbrained Level Design in this game. I like Peach a lot and all, but that's the greatest negative in this game for me. Some puzzles are really nice, I'm not going to deny them, but the way the levels are built is just so strange and unpleasant to me. It's not a horrible game, but I find it pretty subpar, sadly. I would love Nintendo to try at another game starring Peach. I mean, we have Mario Odyssey as a base, where the girl literally has her own Cappy, make her a thing in Odyssey 2. Or let her explore a different genre entirely. Maybe something puzzle-related. Honestly, I could see her solve mysteries around the Mushroom Kingdom akin to Professor Layton or Phoenix Wright. You could show what she does in her her time off and why she's such a beloved ruler or something.
Super Princess Peach is a guilty pleasure of mine. It has some glaring flaws, but I can't help but smile and have a good time everytime I play it. I'd wanted a role-reversed game of Peach rescuing Mario ever since I was a kid, and this game proves it can be done. I just hope someday this concept is tried again with a more serious budget and development vision.
Super Princess Peach was a huge favorite of mine back as a little baby gamer. It was the perfect amount of difficulty back when I played it where there were plenty of challenges that took me a while to overcome, but I was still able to get to the end without ever giving up or resorting to outside help (not that there was much outside help available to me since I have no older siblings and had no clue how the internet worked). This and Starfy will forever hold a VERY special place in my heart.
I am actually surprised this game didn't catch on more. I always found it one of the best 2d platformers. Strangely I liked how peach controls better than the main series
Sadly, it was mostly remembered for supposedly being sexist back then because of Peach using her emotions. And I agree, I honestly felt if I slipped, that was more my fault.
Inside Out: The Video Game was released before Inside Out! Jokes aside, this is a good game. Just wish it wasn’t so easy. Hopefully we get another game with Peach (or Daisy) as the main character.
Maybe it's just cause I grew up with this game, but the controls typically don't bother me much at all. And it being a really easy game is honestly ok because for me, when I replay it now, it's just a fun and relaxing romp of nostalgia.
Thank you for the upload fawfuls minion I really needed something to lift me up, after my little doggo was put down today, this may be a little too personal and random, but your content manages to cheer me up
I like how there was a specail Hammer bro who got to be Bowsers right hand man I wish they would use him again he is such a cool character besides Bowser he was the antagonist
I LOVED this game as a kid! I distinctly remember its the first ever game I bought for myself with my own money. I never did finish getting all the toads, though. I still havent beaten it to this day lol
This was the first DS game I ever played, and it has a special place in my heart. Yeah it's easy and the story leaves something to be desired. But! It's fun and pretty, and I love it. Plus the music is boppin and you can't argue a good bop. Lol
I've wanted this game literally since it came out when I was basically a toddler. I turn seventeen this year and I still haven't gotten my hands on it. God I need this.
6:50 Hey hey, Yoshi's Story is brutal when going for 100%! Totally redeems the package! Too bad this game doesn't have that benefit... heck, it gets EASIER as you progress!
Wow, I feel old. I'm only 13 btw. I've been watching this channel since October of 2014. Should I have been watching Logan at age 8? No. Did I regret it? No. I love Logan! Keep up the good work Logan
In my eyes, Super Princess Peach feels very fanmade, but in a good way. As a kid, I actually liked the reused enemies and assets because I could point at them and go „I know this! It’s from that other cool game that I like!“ It’s a fun little game that tried something a little different. Nothing groundbreaking, nothing that I would consider worthy of getting a complete spinoff series, but really nice as a one-off game.
9:34 Wait seriously? I have always been a completionist myself, so I just collected all the toads before moving on to the next stage. Maybe because I haven't played this in a while, but I didn't know that you actually have to collect every toad before you can fight the final boss. That's rough
If you hate coffee I have one you might like (if you want) get a good brand like kicking horse (not foldgers or maxwell house) Brew the coffee a cup of water per tablespoon of grounds Break a cinnamon stick in half and put the stick in the empty pot before your brew it (as the coffee brews the cinnamon stick will flavour the coffee) You can even mix some ground cinnamon with the ground coffee where you put the grounds in the filter but that’s just an option Anyways give the coffee a few minutes after brewed to soak in the cinnamon taste, then pour your coffee into your mug and add a couple teaspoons of honey (depending on how big the mug is you Can add more or less the goal is not too sweet not too mild) then add enough milk to make the colour of the coffee a creamy brown (it’s usually like 1/4 a cup) (not the mug like a measuring cup) I use coconut milk substitute instead and find it better But TLDR basically buy a good brand of coffee, brew it with a cinnamon stick in the pot, mix in some honey (or sugar or sweetener) and some milk or milk substitutes and you have a delicious cup of energy giving goodness A personal favourite of mine in these Canadian winters It’s miles above just normal coffee with milk and sugar
2024 here. Princess Peach Showtime is pretty good. It at least does something different. It's still insanely easy. Even by Mario universe standards, it's often braindead. But it looks and controls very nice. It's very stylised and has lots of gameplay variety. Overall, 7/10.
When it came to needing to collect all the toads, I actually was doing that anyway. So I’m actually surprised to hear that you needed to collect all of them to face the final boss. I did need to go back to collect the rest of the stuff like the music notes and puzzle pieces, but only for like two or three levels. However I was a little aggravated that there wasn’t as much closure as I thought that should be when I 100%. The whole fact that there’s these two villains that are hinted at, that are responsible for turning Perry into a parasol and that you don’t actually meet them at all in this game was actually pretty frustrating to me.
Yeah. If you got the game new or at least got a used copy that had an instruction manual, you get warned of this, so yes, it is a requirement. And actually you have to do a lot of backtracking to get a full 100%. But yeah, I hear you on the story bit. I still like it, but they've left it hanging. It almost feels like there should have been another game to try to finish what was started.
Logan: I’ve never played a game that requires you to 100% it to beat the final boss! Me:*Immediately has Kirby Mass Attack rainbow coins collection flashbacks*
When it comes to 100% every stage to fight the final boss, I feel that's only an issue if it's actually difficult. Every Toad is pretty much on the way and while you do need to look around a little bit, I never found it intrusive or bad, the only time I got stuck on it was world 2-1 where I didn't go left enough.
Idea for a new SPP game Bowser gets a bunch of Not-Super Crowns and destributes them amongst his Minions, with the Peachified minions causing havoc and dragging Peach's name through the mud so Bowser will be hailed as a hero when he Captures her. He also manages to trick and kidnap Mario with a Peachified minion. So Peach decided to fight fire with fire and casts a spell on her crown that'll let her copy enemies' abilities after she defeats them and sets off to clear her name and save her man! some bosses would include GoomPeach and her tower of loyal Goombas! Peach Chomp and her unending hunger! MagikooPeach and her devious spells! Peachranha and her thorny vines! And many more!
Wow really? My favorite part of this game is the movement! The way momentum carries just feels so natural to me. Also I don't remember the final boss being locked behind a 100% But then again, this is one of the few games I actually HAVE 100% on so maybe my memory is just stupid
wildman101093 I really feel like I didn't though... I remember deciding to 100% to see if Perry's story had a resolution. (And also to fill the jukebox cause the music bops) And this was when I was replaying the game for the second time so I would've had to forget doing it twice
So I have a story about this game. When I was younger, I got to the ice world and was enjoying the game. When I started it up, I saw the option to 'Copy' my main save file. Not knowing what it meant, I used the 'Copy' option on a way less completed file, then on my main file. I lost a bunch of progress, and I got so mad that I sold the game. Younger me was such an idiot.
i mean, it kind of makes sense thematically that you have to rescue all the toads. they are Peach's citizens, after all; she wouldn't just abandon them. idk i'm just a Super Princess Peach apologist at my core.
I liked to get the toads, I love collecting things in games. Plus It was easy to do as nearly all of them were already collected on the first trip as I love to complete 100% every level directly
It's not really 100% in SPP either. Especially if you know what getting 100% entails. You not only have to get every toad and beat Bowser. You have to go back to the previous stages, go to where the toads were as there are new collectables to get, defeat the bosses to unlock extra stages (except Bowser) and then you have to get the collectables in the extra stages too. Which depending on how you look at it, it makes the backtracking worse. It's never bothered me, but if just going back for the toads bothered Logan, I could see that being a bit of a problem.
I was rather dumb when i played Super Princess Peach quite a few years ago (i was in elementary school when i first played): my Left and Right buttons were broken, i wasn't very... explorative?, i wasn't a good puzzle solver and i kept getting lost in most of the stages. However, should i play again (i'll probably ask it for my birthday), then i'll gladly do so. My favourite boss is the Ice Dragon.
"I've never played a game that requires you to 100% every stage to complete it!"
Quick, someone donate to Logan and make him play the original Rayman!

You know, I really hope we get a Peach centric game again the future, one with more care and love, since it'd be nice to see Peach do something other than being kidnapped, racing, or playing board games
Ooh, it could be a game that features Peach and Daisy as the main stars!

The game would go into greater depths into Vibe Island and its former civilization while Peach raced Bowser and a villainous third party to get Mario and Luigi's bodies back after they were separated and forced to take shelter inside the princess lest the third party reap them too.
Maybe a game NOT about a new character, most of the story is about the parasol, not peach
*And Rosalina
Eric McNugget Rosalina is too OP. Cameo for sure, but she’d be unrealistically nerfed if she were a playable character. She’s literally a space goddess.
Personally, I liked that Peach had to save Mario this time instead of the other way around. I like stories where the usual hero of the story becomes the captive and has to be saved by either the usual captive or the sidekick, like Luigi in the mansion titles. It makes things feel different to me and shows that even this powerful hero isn't perfect or exempt from danger. Plus it gives the side character taking their place more depth to their character. Wow, who knew Fawful's Minion predicted Princess Peach Showtime, like, 4 years earlier?
Mario beats a fire breathing turtle but cant beat a few koopas.
edge lord I THINK the idea is that Mario and Luigi were a sobbing mess due to the power of the Vibe Scepter, and therefore were easy to capture.

EclipseSoluna which as we all know were literally designed to be difficult to deal with as a player in the original game. Their hammer arc is the exact same as Mario’s jump arc in that game.
The Goomba used the Vibe Scepter to make their emotions go out of control, which gave the Hammer Bros enough time to restrain them.
It’s you again lol
9:32 this problem was also in Kirby mass attack. I still haven’t beaten the game because I lost the motivation to go back to get all the Kirby coins
It’s only the Rainbow Coins, but I agree. They should have made it a general number to get instead of getting very specific coins in each level.
The freaking coins in dedede resort...
At least it wasn’t as bad as Dreamland 3 or even 64.
Yay an underrated title getting some love from this blessed or messed series

Blessed or messed? If you asked me, I’d say it’s Crest 🦷😬🧼
Oh cool. I never realized you did a video on my 2nd favorite game of all time
9:34
Wait seriously? I have always been a completionist myself, so I just collected all the toads before moving on to the next stage. Maybe because I haven't played this in a while, but I didn't know that you actually have to collect every toad before you can fight the final boss. That's rough
That comment about Minty Cofee brought back some long forgotten memory. Didn’t you do a colander with the TF2 TH-camr Minty Cofee? Am I making that uo
They did my boi Luigi dirty in the game because it called him green man
My cousin use to play this all the time when she had her DS.
9:53 Have you NEVER played Rayman 1?
My very first DS game. Brings back memories.
If you hate coffee I have one you might like (if you want) get a good brand like kicking horse (not foldgers or maxwell house)
Brew the coffee a cup of water per tablespoon of grounds
Break a cinnamon stick in half and put the stick in the empty pot before your brew it (as the coffee brews the cinnamon stick will flavour the coffee)
You can even mix some ground cinnamon with the ground coffee where you put the grounds in the filter but that’s just an option
Anyways give the coffee a few minutes after brewed to soak in the cinnamon taste, then pour your coffee into your mug and add a couple teaspoons of honey (depending on how big the mug is you Can add more or less the goal is not too sweet not too mild) then add enough milk to make the colour of the coffee a creamy brown (it’s usually like 1/4 a cup) (not the mug like a measuring cup)
I use coconut milk substitute instead and find it better
But TLDR basically buy a good brand of coffee, brew it with a cinnamon stick in the pot, mix in some honey (or sugar or sweetener) and some milk or milk substitutes and you have a delicious cup of energy giving goodness
A personal favourite of mine in these Canadian winters
It’s miles above just normal coffee with milk and sugar
I gotta say...
I woulda preferred *Super Princess Daisy*
2:41 Logan just turned into Jontron for a minute. XDD
An unexpected surprise, but a welcome one.
2024 here. Princess Peach Showtime is pretty good. It at least does something different. It's still insanely easy. Even by Mario universe standards, it's often braindead. But it looks and controls very nice. It's very stylised and has lots of gameplay variety. Overall, 7/10.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
*MOAR BLESSED OR MESSED*
When will we get a New peach focused game?
Luigi,Yoshi and Wario got several.
Peach only has one.
I love this video 😍
Not really 100%, but still understandable. That happened to me.
Idea for a new SPP game
Bowser gets a bunch of Not-Super Crowns and destributes them amongst his Minions, with the Peachified minions causing havoc and dragging Peach's name through the mud so Bowser will be hailed as a hero when he Captures her.
He also manages to trick and kidnap Mario with a Peachified minion.
So Peach decided to fight fire with fire and casts a spell on her crown that'll let her copy enemies' abilities after she defeats them and sets off to clear her name and save her man!
some bosses would include
GoomPeach and her tower of loyal Goombas!
Peach Chomp and her unending hunger!
MagikooPeach and her devious spells!
Peachranha and her thorny vines!
And many more!
one of the bosses is an owl and that owl boss reminds me of Vanossgaming's logo
Spyro was so nice and wholesome :)
Athena Cykes did the emotions thing too; that's like the only other time I've seen this sorta thing.
One of most underrated games on Nintendo DS.
Wow really? My favorite part of this game is the movement!
The way momentum carries just feels so natural to me.
Also I don't remember the final boss being locked behind a 100%
But then again, this is one of the few games I actually HAVE 100% on so maybe my memory is just stupid
Could also be that you 100% on the first play through.
wildman101093 I really feel like I didn't though... I remember deciding to 100% to see if Perry's story had a resolution. (And also to fill the jukebox cause the music bops)
And this was when I was replaying the game for the second time so I would've had to forget doing it twice
Every video I see fawful doing the patreon "SHADE2800" is always the first I see
*small sense of pride surges through me*
Then fawful must really like you
@@horrortrapboi908 I think I was just one of earliest Patrons.
I was top 40 viewers as well
Blessed or Missed
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land
If that’s cool Fawful’s Minion
More Blessed or Messed! Thank you!
The game looks wonderful! I hope Nintendo’ll make another game for her! I know someone who’ll go with her!
I agree. That and the instruction manual, if you got it, tells you about rescuing all the Toads.
I liked to get the toads, I love collecting things in games.
Plus It was easy to do as nearly all of them were already collected on the first trip as I love to complete 100% every level directly
9:46 Banjo Kazooie would like to step in on that argument.
Banjo-Kazooie didn't require you to get everything to face Gruntilda, but it definitely came close, needing 94/100 Jiggies and 810/900 Notes.
@@phantomblack678 That's still 98% of the whole game. At that rate, it might as well be 100%
It's not really 100% in SPP either.
I actually just bought this at my closing GameStop after seeing this review, haven't had time to play it yet >~
That new intro is sick holy crap
Um.... Logan, Kirby 64 makes you get all 3 shards per stage to go against the true finally boss 😑
All i gotta say is
The bob ombs are pretty cute ngl
