Don’t you think based on your experience, the round shape is better than rectangle for the speed light?
I thought Sony Alpha's had a built-in transmitter-receiver, not the case, thanks for the info.

- do you use ttl with it ?
- When used with a7rv, does it use the eye/face recognition to optimize the exposure (ttl in that case i suppose ?)
- it can work up to 1/400s. does it mean without entering in HSS mode ? is it useful (only 1 stop vs 1/250s sync speed)

Yes
You can use ATG's ATG/Nissin/Quantum Turbo Battery Pack. And a ATG's Sony cable.
Even most photographers cried when they found out the price of ATG's Quantum Turbo 3 Battery Pack.

ATG/Godox not compatible with Sony/Canon/Nikon OEM flashes.
Have you used any of the rotolight LED flashes? like the NEO 3? wonder how these would compare.

Hi, I have a sony GN60 and was thinking of purchasing a second unit, either the control unit you have, rather than buying the control unit I was thinking of buying the GN45 to put on the camera using the GN60 as a bounce unit or visa versa, what is your opinion I’d appreciate your views. I love love love it but I feel like I’m not maximizing the features built in the flash. I looked all over TH-cam for other users’ feedback but there’s none. Please help us with a review or tutorial. I’m still a fairly new user of Sony camera products. Thanks again!
Here for this question as well! I currently shoot with a Godox v1 flash and occasionally have misfires. However, wondering if the HVL-F60RM2 would be a justifiable upgrade!

Godox V1 would be my first choice over this. It's round and you can use it to fake golden hour, especially with it's magnetic accessory system and CTO gels

On camera yes, off camera you will need a trigger

@@cristianojeda823 You will need another Sony HVL-46RM or HVL-F60RM or HVL-F60RM II or Sony overpriced transmitter to get ATG's ADI TTL by radio.

Hi Jiggie, I just bought this flash and im trying to use it mounted on the hot shoe. When I do have it mounted on my camera, and have my Sony A7iii in manual mode I am not able to see the changes to my screen/subject when I change my aperture or shutter speed unless I turn the flash off make the adjustments and then turn the lash back on. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Sony removed modeling light in RM2 :-(
I hate to say this but all Sony flashes including Canon & Nikon flashes overheat, shutdown & meltdown.
If you are looking for real pro flashes, then look for ATG/Profoto/Quantum Qflash/Nissin MG10/MG80 (by ATG).
And to include that all latest Sony flashes does not have ATG Auto2 features.
If you are a budget or making end meets photographers, buy the popular ATG's Godox in Sony versions.
And if you are serious then get ATG/Pau C Buff which come with up to 2,000ws!
Like I said you can start out with just only $1,100.00 & you got ATG radio ADI TTL of 800ws vs 80ws weak flash.
And you got the real live support technical supports that has been rated the best for 4 decades.
I am sure Jiggie & today flash shooters have never use the ATG's Profoto/Quantum Qflashes/Nissin MG10 & MG80 nor Link.
I with the transmitter was cheaper. 😒
Same but at least it’s not as bad as the 400 or 500 dollar transmitter of profoto
I understand that you get what you pay for but I do feel like all Brand Speedlights are way overpriced Vs third parties Speedlights.
I do own a brand Speedlight ( I got a great deal )that matches my camera.
If it is a better color temp and color temp can be a creative choice why would you need a Sony Brand?
TBH why would you use third-party Strobes at all, No camera Brands make strobes?
