Again, a brilliant ‘meet the horses’ episode. You have some beautiful youngsters, just gorgeous! It will be fascinating watching you bring them on as well as watching Sally and Jaffa. You with Ace made me feel quite tearful. I’ve mentioned before about my boy who passed after 23 years together, he got to 30, so I so understand how it feels to have ‘that horse’ who changed your world. My Welshie boy was a brilliant hunter. He would go through and over anything, sometimes without me asking🤣. When I retired him from hunting, we helped rehabilitate a young racehorse. Jasper would sigh with exasperation as we watched Sid ‘do his pieces ‘ , either in the field or when introducing Sid to hacking in The New Forest. 🤣🤣. I just love how all your horses/ponies are so happy and relaxed. You and your mother have such a wonderful way with all of them. Anyone getting anything produced by you is so lucky 👏👏👏👏👏
There is a small fleabitten connie pony at the riding school I go to, I'm not sure of his age but I heard he's around 30, and he reminds me of Ace (but much smaller 😂). He's the pony who taught me to ride. I had my first walk off the lead rein, my first trot, my second canter, first jump and first gallop on him. He's quite strong and fizzy, but he taught me so much and I'm so grateful. He's still ridden regularly by beginner/novice riders and it's so amazing to see him teaching so many young riders who love him just as much as I do
Aww, I adore Ace so much. I love older horses. They just have such a grace about them. The babies are cute as all get out too. It will be interesting to see what colour Winnie turns out as... Also, I definitely want to hear the story of the mare you didn't know was pregnant. lol
I absolutely adore Ari he looked even more adorable as a foal 🐴🐴 I have been rewatching this video since July😂😂The babies are so cute and I love how Ace is literally just like a dad to them all 😍😍
Elphick.Event.Ponies I really hope he does !!! He’s so cute. My mare was very mistreated and abused in her old home and everyone said they wouldn’t put a year on her to live. 10 years later she’s 35 acting 3!😂 just shows what a little bit of love (and a lot of money!😂) can do xx
@Millie Moo we have a black section A (which is actually a really rare colour for section A's!) who is now 38! And he’s still really healthy and he’s really cheeky in his old age 😂❤️
Think we all love all your horses not just the competition ones! These lovely babies are the future and I can not wait to see more of them! Thanks for another great vlog!
We still have my mum's childhood pony womble who is now 38 years old and still really healthy and agile. He’s been ridden up to about 35/36 not much in the last couple of years he was ridden. My mum and womble are the Same age and she’s had him save they were both 4. She’ll be heartbroken when he goes so hopefully he’ll be with us for longer ❤️
Ace is absolutely super, what a fantastic pony. Glad to see how chipper he looks at 29yo! Absolutely agreed with the part about monitoring for when he looses his personality/spark, that's the kindest thing you can do.
Loved it -told an operator at Stateline Tack about you and your mom, and she will be watching!!!Wondering how you like the Shires Highlander blankets-they wrap around the tummy and I wonder how they breath since they have rubber on the backside of the denier-it has been raining here in Oregon and I have a Shires Air dry original sheet on Justine my love pictured here Love Deb The air dry has kept her dry warm and yet cool when the sun warms things up-tricky to keep the horses comfortable in winter!!!!Loved the vlog-love the darling babies love Ace-happy happy when I am around animals and people who love them and treat them well.
I really enjoyed this 3 part series, you explained the horses personalities really well and you can tell exactly why you love each of them for there true characters good or bad..Really cool..
Cute babies :) I can’t wait for mine to be born in June!!! I love seing yours sleeping!!! Great vlog and thank you for keeping our ears away from the wind ;)
They all are so adorable! I love all of them and their names are really cute! I can't wait when you start training Arie! I think that's how you spell it...
I just bought an Irish Cob Irish sport horse partbred foal who will be home with us in October, I'd love if you documented how you work your youngsters and train them so I could learn!!!
@@romyhowlett507 ConneraChoice05 is correct that the horses are actually buckskins genetically speaking- Buckskin (which is caused by the Cream gene) is common in welsh pony & cobs, where as true dun (caused the Dun gene) is rear in Welsh ponies (I think it's just 1 or 2 lines of purebred welsh Sec A ponies that look like dun- but I'm not sure if they have actually been tested for true Dun yet tho). The Cream gene is incomplete dominant, which means 1 copy causes only partially dilution (mostly just dilutes the red pigment in the coat to a more yellow shade) but 2 copies cause full dilution which fully dilutes the coat colour, skin & eyes (turns red & black pigment in the hair to an off white/ cream colour, skin turns to a pink shade & eye colour is diluted to blue). Buckskins & palominos can have what looks like a dun dorsal stripe, but it is a countershading stripe or a "not dun" dorsal stripe. ie. 1 Cream + Bay = Buckskin (yellow body with black mane, tail & legs since 1 copy only dilutes red pigment) 1 Cream + Chestnut = Palomino (whole body looks yellow) 1 Cream + Black = Smoky Black (just look black) 2 Cream + Bay = Perlino 2 Cream + Chestnut = Cremello 2 Cream + Black = Smokey cream (all the double cream colours look alike- off white/cream coloured with pink skin & blue eyes) Dun gene on the other hand is dominant, which means only 1 Dun gene is needed for full Dun colouring to be present. Dun is also a dilution gene, but it dilutes the coat differently to cream. Dun dilutes both black & red pigment the same, but it only dilutes the body colour of the horse, it leaves all the points (head, mane, legs & tail) undiluted. Dun also causes primitive markings like cob webbing (circular stripes on the face), ear tips/bands, shoulder stripes, zebra stripes & a dorsal stripe (however dun dorsal stripes run from the poll into the dock). Dun + Bay = Dun /Bay Dun (looks like a pale bay coloured horse on the body with a dark shade of bay on the head & black mane, tail, legs, dorsal stripe & other primitive markings.) Dun + Chestnut = Red Dun (looks like a pale chestnut coloured horse on the body with a dark shade of chestnut head, mane, tail, legs, dorsal stripe & other primitive markings.) Dun + Black = Grulla/ Black dun (looks like a silver coloured horse with a black head, mane, tail, legs, dorsal stripe & other primitive markings.) Because cream & dun are 2 separate genes, a horse can have both of them ie. Dunskin = Dun + Buckskin Dunalino = Dun + Palomino However, in the UK buckskins are called dun (no idea why) & I've also heard palominos sometimes referred to as "lemon" (which I can understand :p ). I just think of UK "dun" the same way as Aussies "Taffy" name for the silver dapple gene :)
@@louisejane8049 True dun is rare in purebred welsh, this is not my personal opinion it is fact based on very nearly all registered "dun" Welsh ponies thus far tested, being Cr_ (cream) not D_ (dun) & is stated as fact by most Welsh pony & cob societies outside of the UK. Faint leg bars is not proof of true dun, many breeds that do not carry true dun at all (ie arabians) do carry non-dun primitive markings (called nd1). I have seen a few Welsh ponies with markings that could well be due to nd1, but again since few are actually tested & proven to be nd1, from a factual point of view even nd1 can only be considered rare. Feel free to post links to the DNA evidence proving dun is more common in Welsh ponies outside of the single line proven to carry it thus far, as I'd love to do more research on it.
wow, younger Ace sounds like the pony i want. the been there, done that, i can jump anything in the world, but i’m also amazing at dressage. that’s the pony my trainer wants me to get (also so she could use him for younger lessons 😂)
I couldn’t stand a foaling. Our cat went into labour and all hell let loose. Last one of three kittens was emergency Caesarean and we didn’t know if the kitten was alive or dead. Thankfully all was well but never again!
Hey, just thought Id jump on here and say I definitely DONT think Winnie will go grey. I'm a bit of an equine colour genetics expert. You can see from her foal coat that she has normal foal camouflage (The lighter hairs on her legs and armpits if you will) and not the hyper pigmentation/'adult coat' associate with grey foals
Watching this after Bryni has her own little baby!
Awh ace is such a cutie ❤️❤️ and I’m very excited about these youngsters 😍
Holly Lenahan yours have grown into amazing horses 😍 I’m jealous lol their so well put together and kahl is perfect
I’d love to see a story time of the mare who was pregnant (that you didn’t know)!! :)
She mentioned them on her riding story so if u want to know watch that
Loved meeting the babies and your wonderful childhood pony. He reminds me of my 10 year old daughter’s Dale pony.
I think dales ponies are rare
Such lovely horses. Ace is a super senior citizen. Beautiful horse.
Having a herd of old shetlands i love Ace. Your a lucky girl with all those fantastic horses and a lovely yard. Have a nice weekend.

Lovely to meet the babies & especially the guardian/mentor Ace. It’s going to be so much fun to watch their progress.

Yesss babies day 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I want a foal so bad
So cute. FYI Bryni and Bear are Buckskin. Dun horses have a dorsal stripe and can have barring on their legs :)
Bear actually does have a dorsal stripe, if you look at pictures of her backend you'll see. Unsure about Bryni though...

That litte paint foal in the inchro showed her mom how to do reining spins
My horse is called whinnie too 💓💓
Another gr8 video (on my dads account again) ❤️
My pony is a Connemara and is literally the exact same as ace AND he also did his check ligament 😲
The new 4* is the old 3*.
Meg you are my friend and if her trot is as flashy as you say then she kina follows in her sister Bears foot steps of being a fab dressage pony.

Will you be selling any of your horse if so please can you let us know bc I would love to buy a horse from you❤️❤️
It's illegal to sell to minors
