I am African. I do not have hate for whites, or Europeans. No one should be hated for what Thier ancestors did but judged by thier actions and character. The situation in Zimbabwe reminds me of what happened in Haiti. Toussaint L'overture wanted to establish a free society where whites would be welcomed to stay and contribute to reconstruction. in one of my previous workplaces, i had a colleague who was born in the 60s and he spent some time in rhodesia. i asked him if he ever spent time in rhodesia and what it was like. he told me it was the place to be as it was the breadbasket of the country and of the continent. he also mentioned that the currency of rhodesia was the strongest in the world. and he also mentioned that when rhodesia was phased out and became zimbabwe, they laughed at zambia. now zambia can't stop laughing at zimbabwe.
Rhodesia was also an oppressive apartheid whose non-white populace lived in poverty and fear. There are lessons to be learned from Rhodesia, both good and bad.

Danicka Addams...you don't know what you're talking about. Read about how the British invaded Kenya or Zimbabwe, and other African countries, and drove the natives off their land. Then to make the natives work for them for free, they introduced hut tax, for the mud huts that the natives were living in. The hut tax was to be paid mainly with cash, which was only available by working for the whites in the farms. So these white farmers used black labor for virtually free, and the cash crops they farmed were sold to Europe to make themselves rich---at the expense of the black natives. These were the farms that were handed over to their descendants. And now they falsely claim that the land rightfully belong to them, when it was stolen from the natives in the first place. So yes, the current white farmers in Africa , most of them, are beneficiaries of the colonial whites' loot.

I spent about 4 years in Zambia in the 80s where I was involved in commercial farming of veggies for export. It was physically dangerous, disease, motor vehicle accidents, but I was a young man and it was great experience and adventure. I am great full for the experience and the opportunity to have helped improve the farming in Zambia. Due to family reasons I returned to the US.

In my country we have a closed house poultry farm and teak plantation, to see this man losing his farmland and evidently his own home was a bit heartbreaking for me. I'm not even white nor black but this man butchers my heart when he says he lost everything on that farm. I seem to remember the Mozambique government offering white farmers US $20,000 to come and settle there. Been in Pemba a few years ago and talking to several who were situated in Manica and going well...
What most people don’t know is that the Boers have been in Southern Africa longer than most of the black tribes, there was and still is a mass migration to souther Africa after the white settlements. The migration was for a lot of reasons, escaping the predation of Arabs being one, escaping predation by other tribes another, drought, economic refugees. Of course, the migration was helped by the fact that there was a massive “die back” of the local black population after the whites settled, this was almost inevitable because the whites bought diseases the blacks had no immunity, colds, measles, mumps, chickenpox did as much damage as smallpox.

The situation in Zimbabwe reminds me of what happened in Haiti. Toussaint L'overture wanted to establish a free society where whites would be welcomed to stay and contribute to reconstruction. in one of my previous workplaces, i had a colleague who was born in the 60s and he spent some time in rhodesia. i asked him if he ever spent time in rhodesia and what it was like. he told me it was the place to be as it was the breadbasket of the country and of the continent. he also mentioned that the currency of rhodesia was the strongest in the world. and he also mentioned that when rhodesia was phased out and became zimbabwe, they laughed at zambia. now zambia can't stop laughing at zimbabwe.
Rhodesia was also an oppressive apartheid whose non-white populace lived in poverty and fear. There are lessons to be learned from Rhodesia, both good and bad.

Then to make the natives work for them for free, they introduced hut tax, for the mud huts that the natives were living in. The hut tax was to be paid mainly with cash, which was only available by working for the whites in the farms. So these white farmers used black labor for virtually free, and the cash crops they farmed were sold to Europe to make themselves rich---at the expense of the black natives. These were the farms that were handed over to their descendants. And now they falsely claim that the land rightfully belong to them, when it was stolen from the natives in the first place. So yes, the current white farmers in Africa , most of them, are beneficiaries of the colonial whites' loot.

I spent about 4 years in Zambia in the 80s where I was involved in commercial farming of veggies for export. It was physically dangerous, disease, motor vehicle accidents, but I was a young man and it was great experience and adventure. I am great full for the experience and the opportunity to have helped improve the farming in Zambia. Due to family reasons I returned to the US.

What most people don’t know is that the Boers have been in Southern Africa longer than most of the black tribes, there was and still is a mass migration to souther Africa after the white settlements. The migration was for a lot of reasons, escaping the predation of Arabs being one, escaping predation by other tribes another, drought, economic refugees. Of course, the migration was helped by the fact that there was a massive “die back” of the local black population after the whites settled, this was almost inevitable because the whites bought diseases the blacks had no immunity, colds, measles, mumps, chickenpox did as much damage as smallpox.
