You saved me hundreds of dollars in not having to call in a dishwasher repair guy, thanks so much for posting this video and making it so user friendly! Worked totally like you said, the only worry now is wondering what caused the water to fill the drip pan, couldn’t see any obvious reason. I’m a 73 year old woman, if I could fix it, anyone could!

After an hour of flipping breakers, taking apart both the drain lines and the fill lines….I found your video looking for answers. THANK YOU!! I would NEVER have guessed the float tripped the sensor. And you were correct, that was EXACTLY my issue. The drain pan was full of water (dry underneath??). I followed your directions and BOOM, back in business! Thanks again 👍🏻

There are two little overflow hoses that feed into that pan so it can still be dry underneath but wet in that overflow tray.

You are a Prince among men!!! Thank you! My husband would have done this but he is very ill. And I am having rotator cuff surgery next week…not a good time for the dishwasher to die. I think mine had excessive water because the drain needed to be cleaned out.😮 easy to follow and it now works!!!!

Another person here to praise you for this video. Thank you man. Got home from work and my wife said she had made homemade soap and all the things in there she washed caused crazy bubbly suds. Dried everything out underneath and in the drip tray and back in action! You da man.

GOOD MORNING!! I just have to say THANK YOU for this video! When my dishwasher first crapped out and sent these two error messages, I called my usual guy who claims to be able to fix everything...He did some "investigating" and pronounced the situation beyond him and his crew. I found your video and it was BRILLIANT...I did exactly as you recommended and things are back working perfectly! I need to add that I'm a single working mom who is home with her two kids who are currently sick with COVID, so I was really motivated LOL. Oh, by the way, my coffee maker, which sits on the counter above the dishwasher, overflowed a couple of days ago and made an epic mess. When I pulled out the mechanism, it was full of brown liquid that I immediately realized was coffee. Serious, thank you SO much for saving me money and helping me feel accomplished!

You rock! Our sink overflowed and then without any apparent reason othe dishwasher started giving us this error. Unbeknownst to us the overflowing sink filled the dishwasher's drip pan. We couldn't figure out what was going on. We'd clear the code by using the cancel button, but it kept flashing the error. I did as you demonstrate in your video and had the problem fixed in a few minutes! WAY more useful than the info on the Maytag website. Their info was useless for me. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!!! I owe you one!

GREAT VIDEO! Our "leak" was due to using non-dishwasher soap, which produced heavy suds and water got into the drain pan.
dried the pan, reassembled, ran short cycle: no leaks! Then put insulation and cover plates back. Thanks.

  • @BobRosenfeld

I received the codes for the first time. I figured out what it was, which was a Miracle. When I was putting the dishes in the dishwasher there were some plates that I thought needed some spray cleaner which foamed up. I started hearing beeping and saw the error codes. I did what you said and it worked great. But to get the foam out of the dishwasher I used my shop vac. Thanks so much for your help to me, a guy who can barely tie his Shoes, lol.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! ❤️🙏🏻 I have a KitchenAid and it was exactly the same solution. My problem was caused by spraying too much Dawn PowerWash on the dishes and not rinsing it off first. It caused too much sudsing. If I just spray a few items, no problem. But I sprayed way too much. No more! From now on I’ll always rinse after using that.

Thanks much! Our 1-½ year old maytag just started beeping and my wife said she overflowed a pan of water on countertop and of course it found its way to the drip pan. Just cleaned out but saw some water dripping from ac connection box so going to let dry out over night before hooking back up.

Sweet, easy fix. Ran out of dish-washer soap so I idiotically put regular dish-washing soap in my machine knowing I shouldn't and of course it foamed up. I did not put very much but it was still enough to foam up enough to come out the front of the door and flood that little compartment.
